The treatment program at Best Drug Rehabilitation takes a unique approach to recovery from addiction. Cody, a 20 year old from Pennsylvania, came to BDR for assistance in beating his heroin addiction after an unsuccessful attempt at recovery through a 12-Step based rehabilitation facility. As is often the unfortunate case for those struggling with substance abuse, Cody’s addiction led him to do some very dishonest things, including stealing money from ticket sales to a music festival he was scheduled to perform at and not fulfilling his obligation to play there, disappointing some people that had gone to see him on stage. The Music Therapy program at BDR is one of the main reasons he chose to come to our recovery facility. “I wrote more songs in the time that I’ve been here than I have in my entire life,” he tells us. “It’s probably the first time in my life that I’ve played actually sober, and it feels really good.
