A congress is a formal meeting of the representatives of different nations, constituent states, independent organizations (such as trade unions), or groups.
The term was chosen for the United States Congress to emphasize the status of each state represented there as a self-governing unit. Subsequent to the use of congress by the U.S. legislature, the term has been adopted by many states within unions, and by unitary nation-states in the Americas, to refer to their legislatures.
The following congresses were formal meetings of representatives of different nations:
Countries with Congresses and presidential systems:
Congress is included in the name of several political parties, especially those in former British colonies:
Many political parties also have a party congress every few years to make decisions for the party and elect governing bodies. This is sometimes called a political convention.
Congress is an alternative name for a large national or international academic conference.
For instance, the World Congress on Men's Health WCMH is an annual meeting on men's medical issues.

Seth Rogen (pronounced /ˈroʊɡɪn/; born April 15, 1982) is a Canadian stand-up comedian, actor, producer, screenwriter, and voice artist. Rogen began his career doing stand-up comedy during his teen years, winning the Vancouver Amateur Comedy Contest in 1998. While still living in his native Vancouver, he landed a small part in Freaks and Geeks. Shortly after Rogen moved to Los Angeles for his role, Freaks and Geeks was canceled after one season due to poor ratings. He then got a part on the equally short-lived Undeclared, which also hired him as a staff writer.
After landing a job as a staff writer on the final season of Da Ali G Show, for which Rogen and the other writers received an Emmy nomination, he was guided by film producer Judd Apatow toward a film career. Rogen was cast in a major supporting role and credited as a co-producer in Apatow's directorial debut, The 40-Year-Old Virgin. After Rogen received critical praise for that performance, Universal Pictures agreed to cast him as the lead in Apatow's directorial feature films Knocked Up and Funny People. Rogen and his comedy partner Evan Goldberg co-wrote the films Superbad, Pineapple Express, and The Green Hornet. Rogen has done voice work for the films Horton Hears a Who!, Kung Fu Panda, Monsters vs. Aliens, and Paul. He married fellow screenwriter Lauren Miller in October 2011.
No one knows, no one understands the mysteries that will
become us.
Life and death as a circle, the start and the end.
The sun and the moon will become as horizons fade into
the timeless seasons.
Words of wisdom once spoken, oppositions shattered yet
unbroken.
Sunset forever embrace the dark.
Travel throughout your destiny, arriving in a place
you'll never see.
And when the sun freezes over and when the heart stops in
our chest,
our teeth will split and our tongue rots in our mouth,
Watch me fall and watch me grow,
the valued seed will blossom once more and spread the
blood forever.
The past sprouts forth memories as bitter as the taste of
our enemies.
Only a vauld stench of shriveled remains,
we look towards the horizons and watch our beloved fade
away...
Fill your body with junk and filth, then cure it with
expensive pills,
abcesses impossible to be released,
infected inside, pale face to hide.
Your health is a disaster, narcotics make your heart
beats faster.
The doctor you call master.
Cancer-clusters, grown into your system,
disease spreads like a fire.
My sweat is your medicine, my profit become your pills.
A leech feeding on the wrists of society's bliss.
Nicotine, caffeine and saturated fat, enjoy it while you
can.
No matter how bad you live your pathetic life,
the state will pay all your bills.
A pill to make you numb, another to make you dumb.
Once you're down, you'll never make it up.
We're on the treshold of a new dark age,
the future looks threatening like a guillotine above our
necks.
Hope is like a shadow in the desert,
once it's lost, it's always gone.
What will we achieve.
What will we accomplish?
Where do we stand with our faith not in our hands?
You have to choose, you win or loose.
You can't pretend you're challenged or will defend.
Insecurity is killing us and yet is our responsibility,
to have is not to hold when victory is in sight.
An atricate woven web of life,
all of a sudden cut of whit a knife.
All we need is to learn from the past,
'cause history is only repeating itself.
Fear of failure is closing in on us.
Life, a curious journey,
which price must we pay for the risks we take,
the thin ice we tread?
Our burning desire is setting the world on fire.
Heading towards the extinction of mankind.
Children destroy what ancestors build,
transforming paradise into a planet of demise.
Between you, I count 30 fingers and 6 fistsAnd you are
brothers
I count, I count
When you are sleeping, I smash up the machine
Beethoven is the first to help me
A congress has assembled outside of children
It's a half mile wide
Children, Oh Children
Wring out your pillows, come to the window
Stand upright, the rest will follow
I count the children
Thirteen stabwounds cover my skin from the favours of
"real friends".
Angels turned to demons as soon as I turned my back.
And when you least expect it, fate slaps you in the face.
Take a bite out of life, and life bites back at you.
Ask the fool for advice, the blood runs out of his mouth.
Choose your God, ask your master if he could stop your
pain.
Every morning you beg, every evening you pray:
"Please God, take the suffering away,
from these thirteen stabwounds covering my skin."
Now the time for revenge has come
with hatred strong enough to feed the whole planet,
hitting hard as nails through your skull.
The dirt underneath my shoes and the skars on my skin,
make this life worth living, the struggle is hard
but the struggle is beautifull, it's the through meaning
of life.
While others wheep in complacency,
The old king is dead, we took his trone,
the crown once on his head is now replaced by a
tombstone.
His rules, they have failed us when chaos took over.
The new millenial reign, we have to accept in vain.
I accept the challenge, I will roll the dice.
Into this new era, I won't look back twice.
Time to breed some courage, time to cross that line.
Allthough we might stray, I'm not affraid of Y2K.
Some signposts point to destruction, whereas others tell
of renewall.
Now what can we do?
Shoot ahead or turn back?
New leaders they come and they go, probing for new souls.
After Christ fought Satan, who will take controll?
And will you hold your ground when day of reconing comes?
Will you surrender to disease or will you join the ranks
Eleven thousand degrees burning on our heads.
Can you take the heat or do you clench your fist to the
sky?
Where to run when the rays destroy
and where to run when the wells are dry?
We are only satisfied when the rain is pouring.
We can only sleep when the moist is nourishing.
The sun has spoiled our land, turned the wine to vinegar.
The roots are rotting and the leafs are falling.
Artificial culture saved our land, force-fed by human
hands.
Exhausting forces cannot resist the ongoing destruction
of the planet.
Drained illusions, endangered species,
the screams never reach the surface.
God cries divine tears, wheeping from these human fears.
The water is finally pouring down,
the solution in which we all drown.
No more land to waste, no more tears to choke.
An iccold breath meant the planet's death.
They tried to bury us but the earth refused our bodies.
Roaming 'till the end of time, with lust for revenge, the
law of crime.
We're hungry for those who were once the nails of our
coffin.
Revenge in it's purest form, degrading ourself to a
criminal norm.
And when the moon is full, the blood starts to boil.
All hell breaks loose,
once the beast is released to prove your guilty of my
withdrawal,
I'll tear the heart right out of your chest and place it
before your eyes.
So you can witness how black it is.
You won't kill me untill I get a stake through the heart.
Maybe the odds were different but time has healed these
wounds.
The salt is washed away again and time is standing on my
side.
Night after night, the hatred grew inside and now revenge
is mine.
Two graven split open, empty as the black and I'm
released,
grinning madly, facing the bloodred skies.
Claiming my throne, enslaving you all,
What is reality?
It's a conspiraty.
Nothing but the impuls of our brain through actions of
our senses.
Mankind is the disease, they have the cure.
Centuries of ignorance passed by in the hands of the
oppressor.
Join the conspiraty and release the enemy within.
We are not searching for the truth, the truth is
searching for us.
As the opposite of their kind, we are insignificant.
Used as tools in their hands to convert our minds.
When we have the answers to their questions,
we need no longer to serve, our mission will be complete.
The key to liberation lies in wisdom.
To tackle the legs that walk us,
to deafen the ears that command us.
To blind the eyes that shut ours.
Against the grain lies the end of all our pain.
What binds will blind us,
each man for himself to lift the curse of the conspiraty.
