Taylor Alison Swift (born December 13, 1989) is an American singer-songwriter and occasional actress. Raised in Wyomissing, Pennsylvania, Swift moved to Nashville, Tennessee at the age of fourteen to pursue a career in country music. She signed to the independent label Big Machine Records and became the youngest songwriter ever hired by the Sony/ATV Music publishing house. The release of Swift's self-titled debut album in 2006 established her as a country music star. "Our Song", her third single, made her the youngest sole writer and singer of a number one song on the country chart. She received a Best New Artist nomination at the 50th Grammy Awards.
Swift's second album, Fearless, was released in late 2008. Buoyed by the chart success of the singles "Love Story" and "You Belong with Me", Fearless attracted a crossover audience and became the top-selling album of 2009. The record won four Grammy Awards, with Swift becoming the youngest ever Album of the Year winner. Fearless also received Album of the Year plaudits at the American Music Awards, Academy of Country Music Awards and Country Music Association Awards, making it the most awarded album in country music history. In 2010, Swift released her third album, Speak Now, which sold over one million copies in its first week. She then embarked on the 111-date Speak Now World Tour, which was attended by over 1.6 million fans and has become one of the highest-grossing concert tours of all time. The album's third single, "Mean", won two Grammy Awards for Best Country Song and Best Country Solo Performance. Swift is currently recording her fourth studio album, due for release in the fall of 2012.

She began acting as a child and came to international notice in 2002 after co-starring in the film Bend It Like Beckham. From 2003, her appearances in the Pirates of the Caribbean film series took her to much greater prominence. In 2008, Forbes claimed Knightley to be the second highest paid actress in Hollywood, having reportedly earned $32 million in 2007, making her the only non-American on the list of highest paid actresses.
Knightley has appeared in several Hollywood films and earned nominations for the Academy Award for Best Actress and Golden Globe Award for Best Actress for her role as Elizabeth Bennet in Joe Wright's 2005 adaptation of Jane Austen's novel Pride and Prejudice. Two years later she again was nominated for the Golden Globe Award for Best Actress, as well as the BAFTA Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role for her performance in Atonement.
Knightley was born in Teddington, London, England, the daughter of Sharman MacDonald, an award-winning playwright, and Will Knightley, a theatre and television actor. Her father is English and her Scottish mother is of half Welsh ancestry. She has an elder brother, Caleb.[citation needed]
You called my name
I heard it echo days and days
But still I turned away from you
I've walked a thousand miles
But I want change
I am over feeling like I am all alone
So meet me where I am
Just so I can begin with you again
You called my name
A sound so sweet, I can't erase
But still I hid away from you
Until that sound had drowned
Now I need change
I can't deny that I'm lost alone
And I need to deny who I've been
I'm walking down Broadway
Each footstep is a new love letter
I'm trying to make eye contact
With each and every stranger that I pass
I'm thinking about the city
It's living proof people need to be together
I'm thinking about how I just wanna open up
And give and give and give
And its ok for you to care
Cos I can feel you in the air
And while you wonder
How's this gonna end
I only wanted to begin
I'm thinking about desire
I've had to learn how to sin successfully
I'm thinking about bliss
And bliss is all dressed up and there's no one to dance with
Remembering her smile
And the nuclear bomb and the reasons I loved her
I'm walking through central park
I'm in a foreign country and I'm waiting for a sign
And its ok for you to care
Cos I'm not going anywhere
And while you wonder
If you should let me in
I only wanted to begin
I'm still singing
Twisting new melodies, breaking arrangements
I'm thinking about my heart
I guess youve heard, sometimes its heavy
But I just keep moving
When I hit a wall I look up at the sky
I'm thinking about my maker
And despite all this I know she wont give up on me
And its ok for you to care
Cos I can taste you everywhere
And while its true all straight things must bend
Become the champion of the numb,
earn their trust, embrace the strength of one.
Decide it can be done.
Corrupt the worst of us, capsize the sinking love
forgive them from the start, command with a melting heart
Begin be not afraid, fall in the day is brave
Remember what has happened in our past,
so much is happening right now,
So much can come, so much will come.
In this proud land we grew up strong
We were wanted all along
I was taught to fight, taught to win
I never thought I could fail
No fight left or so it seems
I am a man whose dreams have all deserted
I've changed my face, I've changed my name
But no one wants you when you lose
Don't give up
'Cos you have friends
Don't give up
You're not beaten yet
Don't give up
I know you can make it good
Though I saw it all around
Never thought that I could be affected
Thought that we'd be the last to go
It is so strange the way things turn
Drove the night toward my home
The place that I was born, on the lakeside
As daylight broke, I saw the earth
The trees had burned down to the ground
Don't give up
You still have us
Don't give up
We don't need much of anything
Don't give up
'Cause somewhere there's a place
Where we belong
Rest your head
You worry too much
It's going to be alright
When times get rough
You can fall back on us
Don't give up
Please don't give up
Got to walk out of here
I can't take anymore
Going to stand on that bridge
Keep my eyes down below
Whatever may come
And whatever may go
That river's flowing
That river's flowing
Moved on to another town
Tried hard to settle down
For every job, so many men
So many men no-one needs
Don't give up
'Cause you have friends
Don't give up
You're not the only one
Don't give up
No reason to be ashamed
Don't give up
You still have us
Don't give up now
We're proud of who you are
Don't give up
You know it's never been easy
Don't give up
'Cause I believe there's a place
There's a place where we belong
You called my name
I heard it echo days and days
But I still turned away from You
I've walked a thousand miles
But I won't change
I am over
Feeling like I am all alone
So meet me where I am
Just so I can begin
With You again
You call my name
A sound so sweet I can't erase
But still I hid away from You
Until that sound had drowned
Now I need change
I am over
Feeling like I am all alone
So meet me where I am
Just so I can begin
With You again
I can't deny that I'm lost, alone
And I need to deny who I've been
To begin
With You again
So meet me where I am
Just so I can begin
I am over
Feeling like I am all alone
So meet me where I am
Just so I can begin
With You again
you say
everything is gray
in your head
they all wanna run you out
you just wanna stay in bed
time's taken every bit of your confidence
stolen all your dreams
no recompense
could you imagine just one more dream?
and do you know i'm still yours for the asking
if you ask me
if you wanted to
you could come out
and say what you wanna do
am i
in the past?
just a moment of the times that you've had?
to begin
(somebody's gonna be surprised)
to love
(somebody's gonna feel the lightning)
begin
(somebody's gonna live the life the love that lasts a lifetime)
i say
whatever took away your hope and courage
seems to pale when put against
your own rich inheritance
time makes
just a little bit of difference
you could live and learn and
love again
you were the one
that said run from you
but can you remember
a time when i ever
really wanted to?
If you wanted to
you could come out and say
what you wanna do
am i
a piece of your past?
just a little moment of the times
that you've had?
to begin
(somebody's gonna be surprised)
to love
(somebody's gonna feel the lightning)
begin
(somebody's gonna live the life the love that lasts a lifetime)
how high
(somebody's gonna see the light)
can love rise?
(somebody's gonna feel the frightening
somebody's gonna realize
the love is right beside them)
how high
can love rise?
will it see the end?
we'd last a long time
when will we begin
to love?
begin
begin-run, the race has begun.
you know you gotta 5x get ahead of everyone.
money talks when you're walking with the living dead.
dead man walking with the living.
and in the end you stink like shit.
but who's gonna pay for it?
i see the power, one sided struggle.

Hey, maybe the time
just wasn't right to hang on
When are you gonna learn
Sometimes things turn instead of turn out
Hey, when are you gonna stand
Stop looking over your shoulder
Me, with a head full of words
And not one useful expression
Hey, let go
We, with holes in our hearts
Were whole at the start
Our story began
We film ourselves 'til the end
Try to suspend our lives in the dark
Hey, when are you gonna stand
Stop looking over your shoulder
See, there's a sun in the sky
And a moon that will take us til morning
When are you gonna stand
Stop and begin this moment
Hey, let go

Here at last I finally begin,
Not without excitement.
I feel this won't be easy
But I like the twilit world.
The traveller is vulnerable and tramped
A distinct aloneness
A sense of doom visits me
But my heart is good.
I am in a scent as i press
Further into darkness.
At the edge of the picnic
The crumb that got away
Here at last I finally begin,
Not without excitement.
I feel this won't be easy
Are you given vision?
Are you second sight?
Are you older than your life?
Eighty days of sorrow
Endless more in sight
Still you child burn bright
And you see me crying again
And you hold out your little hand
Lead me shaking to his room
I thought I'd never see again
Close the door behind you
Turning out the light
Press a flashlight up against the wall
You say, "This is how we knew him
In a little egg"
It opened up and this is daddy now
Now you're stepping back towards me
'Til the room is bathing in light
And the answer there before me
There's no ending when we die
Are you sleeping here beside me?
Are you shining bright as the sky?
Are you breathing now inside me?
She was neat
I was worried about the holocaust
Rather uncomfortable
But not unusual
It was great
She said it was easy reading
Those busy pictures
They made him nervous
He had some coffee
He looked at the book
He stared at her legs
She stared at his look
What a trip
As the shop filled up with strangers
Some had big black boots
Some were lost teenagers
Gotta go
As he placed the book back on the table
She said she really likes your house
You really like her hair
He remembers her face
The rest was a blur
She asked for some gum
And he gave it to her
Begin, begin
Begin, begin
Hard as it may seem
When you can't find the strength to face the world, again
Can't see your way pass through the sorrow
Wipe away those tears
And try to find that special place you have, within
Find the courage to start over
There's no easy take
Just a choice you'll make
When the darkness blinds your view
Just close your eyes and try to
Say I'm better than the fears inside me
Say there's more to life than all this pain and loss and grief
That makes me weak
Clouds will soon be over
Let your light inside begin
Dry away your tears
It won't be long before you'll learn to smile, again
'Til the sun would come out shining
There's no easy take
Just a choice you'll make
When the darkness blinds your view
Just close your eyes and try to
Say I'm better than the fears inside me
Say there's more to life than all this pain and loss and grief
That makes me weak
Clouds will soon be over
Let your light inside begin
Oooh Oh Ooh
Say I'm better than the fears inside me
Say there's more to life than all this pain and loss and grief
That makes me weak
Clouds will soon be over
Let your light inside begin
Begin
Hey, maybe the time
just wasn't right to hang on
