Dance is a type of art that generally refers to movement of the body, usually rhythmic and to music, performed in many different cultures and used as a form of expression, social interaction or presented in a spiritual or performance setting.
Dance may also be regarded as a form of nonverbal communication between humans, and is also performed by other animals (bee dance, patterns of behaviour such as a mating dance). Gymnastics, figure skating and synchronized swimming are sports that incorporate dance, while martial arts kata are often compared to dances. Motion in ordinarily inanimate objects may also be described as dances (the leaves danced in the wind).
Definitions of what constitutes dance are dependent on social, cultural, aesthetic, artistic and moral constraints and range from functional movement (such as folk dance) to virtuoso techniques such as ballet. Dance can be participatory, social or performed for an audience. It can also be ceremonial, competitive or erotic. Dance movements may be without significance in themselves, such as in ballet or European folk dance, or have a gestural vocabulary/symbolic system as in many Asian dances. Dance can embody or express ideas, emotions or tell a story.
An annotated list of popular/famous dancers.
Uday Shankar (December 8, 1900 – September 26, 1977) (Bengali: উদয় শংকর), the pioneer of modern dance in India, and a world renowned Indian dancer and choreographer, was most known for adapting Western theatrical techniques to traditional Indian classical dance, imbued with elements of Indian classical, folk, and tribal dance, thus laying the roots of modern Indian dance, which he later popularized in India, Europe, and the United States in 1920s and 1930s.

Plot
This version of "The Nutcracker" gives the classic ballet a tragic spin, with Masha (instead of Clara) now the unloved, unappreciated daughter of the Town Council President. At a Christmas party, Masha is given a seemingly alive Nutcracker by her Uncle Drosselmeyer, and Masha instantly is enchanted with it. The toys come to life at midnight, and after Masha helps the Nutcracker defeat attacking mice, he takes her to his kingdom, where he is later revealed to be a handsome Prince. The Prince and Masha fall deeply in love, but their "happy ending" has a morbid twist not found in any other "Nutcracker".

An American talent scout is offering him a career in the United States, but on one condition: he has to quit his band, Simplu. The band members realize what's going on and they don't like it, which makes his decision even harder. Smiley's life gets even more complicated when he meets Mia, a mysterious girl with a passion for ballet and... tuned car races. Love at first sight is a great thing, but the clock is ticking and Smiley has to choose. Will Simplu be on the stage of the first block party in Romania at the end of the day? Well, it's a sweet dream that keeps me close to you dear
And it's a sad thing that we're apart, I'm blue dear
And there are times now I thank the heavens up above
When I'm with the one that I love
Now there are diamonds that some may long to see
And they may shine but not bright enough for me
I wouldn't take no, the whole world dipped in gold
For a night with my Tennessee rose
Take this love I am giving for it's truly the lasting kind
The gift I hold is believing that you will always be mine
Take this love that I am giving for it's truly the lasting kind
The gift I hold is believing that you will always be mine
(Karen Brooks/Hank DeVito)
Well it's a sweet dream
That keeps me close to you dear
And it's a sad thing
That we're apart I'm blue dear
And there are times now
I thank the heavens up above
When I'm with the one that I love
Now there are diamonds
That some may long to see
And they may shine
But not bright enough for me

How I love my Tennessee Rose
Only my Tennessee Rose
A dinosaurs dying-out took ten million years.
A mammals revolution is coming to an end, sudden end.
Blackbird picks a worm, thousands killed by desert storm.
Rolling over species, space seed in my heart.
When you think of me, I live in Bavaria
Does it really matter, do I really care? I care
`cause that`s the way the cookie crumbles
When you think of me, I study biology
Does it really matter, do I really care? I care
`cause that`s the way the cookie crumbles
And he finally got himself down in the streets hard to remember
Is this blood on my hands?
God let me remember! Where have I been?
This all has to end and I oughta know
But who could predict the force of the throw?
It helps to pretend to not care at all
The truth is that I could not want it more
Soon they will come and pass us by
A shift in tone and rise in tide
To learn to swim or learn to die
Are choices I have been left with
The bigger the break the harder the fall
The hits in this case are too close to call
The stress and the strain are starting to show
This all has to end and I oughta know
Soon they will come and pass us by
A shift in tone and rise in tide
To learn to swim or learn to die
To cast a stone or cast aside
Soon they will come and pass us by
A shift in tone and rise in tide
To learn to swim or learn to die
Are choices I have been left with
It's natural selection
It's natural selection
It's natural selection
True ring true ring
Gonna make this crystal sing
Other ways other ways otherwise
We're just going backward
True ring true ring
Gonna make this songbird sing
Get a load get a load
Get a load, get a load of it
True ring true ring
For the one that's listening
Sound advice, sound advice
Empty hands and tired eyes
True ring true ring
Giving up and giving in
Little arms little arms
Little arms on a big body
And I hold you to the light to see
And keep you safe inside of me
Oh, restore this crack so
I want nothing tonight to hold but you
I keep this pillow it's such a poor substitute
For a soul, a soul,
For a soul, a soul
Truth told, truth told
Tear the tear and fold the fold
Pick it up, pick it up, pick it up when it's yours to
hold
Truth told truth told
When you hit the ground just roll
Bend your knees bend your knees, bend your knees
When you're lifting these
And I hold you to the light to see
And cotton wool you safe in me
Oh, restore this crack so
I want nothing tonight to hold but you
Keep close the cold compress
Such a poor substitute
For a soul, a soul
Hold onto me please
Don't you let go of me
Come on over
Roll on over
I just need to feel you breathe
Hold onto me please
Don't you let go of me
Think on over
Roll on over
I just need to feel you breathe....
Into my head is out of my mind
Then I become a day behind
And I can't help but wonder why that some days are the very worst case
When I cannot believe that I'm living this way
Kismet tell me its okay and I'll guess it's just a twist of the fate
There's a tiny dancer in my bed
And she never has too much to say
She reminds me of the Danse' Russe
When my emotions are wounded
Her motions and movements chase the ghosts from me
Hold on to me please
Don't you let go of me
Come on over
Roll on over
I just need to feel you breathe
Hold on to me please
Don't you let go of me
Come on over
Think it over
I just need to feel you...
Quietly while you sleep
Whispering the sweetest things
Close those eyes and start the dream
'Cause all of this is what you mean to me
Come over and I'll show you
Shamrocks are an eight-leaf clover
Won't you reach up and touch my shoulder
And sing to me heavenly
Yes, sing for the life of me
About a tiny dancer in my bed
When she never has too much to say
She reminds me of the Danse' Russe
When my emotions are wounded
Her motions and movements chase the ghosts from me
'Cause there's a tiny dancer in my bed
And she never has too much to say
She reminds me of the Danse' Russe
When my emotions are wounded
Her motions and movements ...
Won't you chase my ghost from me...
So much emotion, so much in motion
I will dance, I will cry, I will dance all night...
I don't believe it is real
am I asking myself if it is so close?
Am I kidding if it the end of the world?
I don't care who'll be sore can't you notice we've been
deceived.
We don't fight we're dancing the whole night
this can be the last dance for sure
cheers...drink it up and then take off
we're drinking like fish ...blowing
our coolest own deal.
Tonight we won't burn the midnight oil
I cover my ass but I won't be safe and sound
we'll pay our duties through our nose
see the back of the world checking-out for good.
We're too many spoiling the hot broth
when the world is our golden oyster
I always used to be in front row
now I'll be at this sharp end
who cares if blood is thicker'n water.
Tonight we won't burn the midnight oil
I cover my ass but I won't be safe and sound
we'll pay our duties through our nose
see the back of the world checking-out for good.
We're foot in the grave on in the door
this final shut is our out of the blue
we can dance and cry, but we bore
now it's time for us to blow off.
We will dance, we will cry, we will dance all night
Tomó miles de años
para que los dinosaurios
encontraran finalmente
una mañana.
Choques de protones
mil millones de explosiones
para hacer un mundo
hermoso para ti.
Eones de reacciones,
de electrones, radiaciones
y materia desde el
último confín de la galaxia.
Miles de organismos se
cambiaron a si mismos
hasta convertirse en
flores para ti.

Porque fue instantáneo
Tomó solo un instante.
Civilizaciones han
pasado por montones
Fueron mil generaciones

Here's to all the dinosaurs that ruled the world from
Timbuktu to Texas
Here's to Stegosaurs and Brontosaurs and yes, of course,
Tyrannosauraus Rexs
Some say a meteor meant your end some say the C.I.A.
Whichever way it was here's to you because
I'm hoping you'll come back some day
Here's to all the dinosaurs that play guitar in dingy
bars and hotels
You never made the cover of the Rolling Stone but you
cover Rolling Stone songs very well
Arthritis may make solos tough (don't say I didn't warn
But don't break up the band, the free world needs you and
I still love when you play "Hotel California"
So here's to all the dinosaurs who've been with us for oh
so very long
Yes, this is for the dinosaurs because every dinosaur
The clouds are thunder and lightning
The ocean's level will rise
The earth will shake
Your windows will break
Tomorrow is all mine
The roads wash in the shadows
Of a thousand manta rays
Volcanic waves
Our hopes are in vain
Tomorrow is all mine
And I might be without you
Your hand is leaving mine
Your eyes I spare
This never-ending rain
(I can promise you) Things will be different
I've been trying to sweeten up all of this bitterness
I keep from going crazy, I keep from staying still
I closed the door to memories that come and haunt me
still
nothing's getting done, holding on angry and jaded
I have come full circle growing more and more frustrated
send me down to hell before I get much older
what about the heartbreakers, meat eaters, and voters?
every bridge I built was set to burn right from the start
I'll walk alone, and heroes, better off with faith in god
extinct, extinct, extinct
so disgusted, totally fucked
we're shaking trees for the chance that some food will
