The weather can be unpredictable and extreme as we found out during our short cruise.

It's a Pod...with a round tail. The uber versatile Channel Islands Pod is an oldie but a goodie. Loved by the masses, it rides fun and fast. The wider outline has a good amount of volume throughout but not too much. This means it's a wave catching beast but still feels lively and sensitive. Rich from Channel Islands gives us a break down of the new High 5 for 2015. The High 5 was cooked up by CI staff to be fun and forgiving with performance sprinkled in. Designed to be a quicker and nimbler offspring of the Average Joe, the High 5 will pad your wave count and still allow for rail work and section making. The bottom is single concave entry to deep double through the fins and terminating with deep concave vee out the tail. Comes stock with 5 fin boxes and can be ridden as a quad or thruster. We Remember the Occupation by the Nazis. This is a one hour audio documentary the about the German Occupation of the British Channel Islands during World War Two and a tribute to some of those people who endured it. Here is a record of their experiences during those years: a first hand account of life in the only British territory to be controlled by Nazi Germany. In 1990 Simon Watkins and Craig Le Marquand produced this one-hour audio documentary to mark the 45th anniversary of the Liberation of the Channel Islands from German forces. Over the years more and more people who lived through that dramatic time pass away and their memories and stories go with them.This programme therefore is permanent record of the most significant period in World, British and Channel Island history. It has an historical narrative of that time by Roy McLoughlin and is punctuated with interviews and recollections of the people who lived through it to form a truly accurate insight into this ill-assorted community at war. A sample of what the United Kingdom would have experienced should it have fallen. These fascinating interviews include arrests, bombings, Commando landings, deportations, heroic escapes, and much more. From the landing of the troops in 1940 to the Liberation five years later, these recollections will take you back in time and through those dark years and explain how it felt to be living under Nazi rule and in the shadow of a foreign power. A giant sea lion impaled by a homemade spear is recovering at SeaWorld after being rescued just off the Southern California coast. Los Angeles news station KNBC-TV reports that a team spent much of Tuesday searching Channel Islands Harbor before spotting the injured male sea lion nicknamed Bubba. Veterinarian Sam Dover discovered the blade was so deeply embedded that it had to be cut out with a scalpel. Subli is a dance that derives from the provinces of Batangas where the people would dance for ceremonial worship of honoring the Mahal Na Poong Santa Cruz. According to the folkloric aspect, a woman went to a well to get water, and there she found wood which was giving off water. Also on the wood was a traditional Filipino doll called a “naaginging.” People from many towns in the area came to see the wood and the doll, but no one was able to move it. After singing and dancing around the wood, they found they were able to move it.
