Andrew Swant
Andrew Swant (born 1976 in Madison, Wisconsin) is an artist and filmmaker whose works include Hamlet A.D.D., William Shatner's Gonzo Ballet, What What (In the Butt), and the production of Frankie Latina's Modus Operandi. He attended film school at University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee, and art school at University of Wisconsin–Eau Claire where he majored in Fine Art and minored in Women's Studies.
His Milwaukee-based production company Special Entertainment is co-owned by collaborator Bobby Ciraldo. Swant and Ciraldo were awarded the Mary L. Nohl Fellowship for Emerging Artists in 2008 and the Mary L. Nohl Fellowship for Established Artists in 2013. Other awards include the Best Documentary award at the Marbella International Film Festival, first place at Milwaukee's 24-hour Film Festival in 2005 and 2007, and he was a Sundance TV Lab finalist in 2003.
In 2012 Swant co-wrote and starred in The Jeffrey Dahmer Files, a feature film about serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer which premiered at the SXSW film festival in March 2012. It received positive reviews, including being a New York Times Critics' Pick. Swant's portrayal of Dahmer was called "chillingly effective" by The Hollywood Reporter and "dead-on creepy perfection" by Entertainment Weekly. The film was picked up by IFC Films and released in early 2013.

Bobby Ciraldo
Bobby Ciraldo (born 1974 in Skokie, Illinois) is a filmmaker and web-based artist whose works include Hamlet A.D.D., William Shatner's Gonzo Ballet, the production of Frankie Latina's Modus Operandi, and a music video for Leslie and the Ly's called "Zombie Killer" (featuring Elvira). He attended Grinnell College and later collaborated with Chris Smith, Ray Chi, and Scott Reeder to create ZeroTV.com, a precursor to MySpace and YouTube.
His Milwaukee-based production company Special Entertainment is co-owned by collaborator Andrew Swant. Ciraldo's films have won first prize at Milwaukee's 24-hour Film Festival in 2005 and 2007, and he has exhibited work at New York's White Columns gallery. According to the Internet Movie Database, he has worked as a computer programmer and holds two patents (one in the U.S. and one in Europe). Ciraldo co-created a broadcast television show with Andrew Swant and David Robbins called Something Theater, which has been airing since early 2009.

Jeffrey Dahmer
Jeffrey Lionel Dahmer (May 21, 1960 – November 28, 1994), also known as the Milwaukee Cannibal, was an American serial killer and sex offender, who committed the rape, murder, and dismemberment of seventeen men and boys between 1978 and 1991, with many of his later murders also involving necrophilia,cannibalism, and the permanent preservation of body parts—typically all or part of the skeletal structure.
Although diagnosed with borderline personality disorder,schizotypal personality disorder, and a psychotic disorder, Dahmer was found to be legally sane at his trial. Convicted of fifteen of the sixteen murders he had committed in Wisconsin, Dahmer was sentenced to fifteen terms of life imprisonment on February 15, 1992. He was later sentenced to a sixteenth term of life imprisonment for an additional homicide committed in Ohio in 1978.
On November 28, 1994, Dahmer was beaten to death in prison by Christopher Scarver, a fellow inmate at the Columbia Correctional Institution.

Special Entertainment (formerly Fortress Productions) is a Milwaukee based media production company established in 2003 by Bobby Ciraldo and Andrew Swant.
In 2014 Special Entertainment released Hamlet A.D.D., a partially animated science fiction comedy based on Shakespeare's classic text. The film premiered at the Los Angeles Museum of Contemporary Art after a sneak peek was featured on a Mystery Science Theater 3000 box set.
In 2013 Special Entertainment released the On Cinema Film Guide app, based on the On Cinema series which airs on Adult Swim. The comedic app features Tim Heidecker and Gregg Turkington reviewing over 17,000 films.
In February 2012 the duo projected iconic images from the What What (In the Butt) video onto well-known buildings in Los Angeles to celebrate the five-year anniversary of the project. Documentation of the project was exhibited at Machine Project gallery in Los Angeles.
In September 2010 Special Entertainment premiered The Found Footage Show which aired on The Onion's A.V. Club website. The series, hosted by Found Footage Festival creators Joe Pickett & Nick Prueher, showcased humorous found footage clips and ran for 36 episodes.

What What (In the Butt)
"What What (In the Butt)" is a viral video created by Andrew Swant and Bobby Ciraldo for the song of the same name by Samwell. It is known for its numerous camp references to homosexuality and anal sex. The lyrics of the song, a production of Mike Stasny, mostly revolve around the title. The video was made in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and uploaded on Valentine's Day 2007 to YouTube. As of June 2015, the video had over 58 million views.
Themes and imagery
With regard to the Christian imagery in the video, Samwell said, in an interview with KROQ-FM, that the opening image is "not a cross, but a flaming symbol that [he] just happened to use," but according to Stasny, "[Samwell] wanted it because he's a Christian but he doesn't do Christian morality. For him, having a burning cross is a way to pay respect to his beliefs." The video also parodies the flower petal scene from the movie American Beauty. Brownmark Films released an interview with Samwell on April 8, 2007, in which he discussed the public reception of the song at length.

In honor of our 50 Millionth "What What (In the Butt)" view we're posting these priceless moments from the original green-screen shoot! We shot the video at our studio in Milwaukee in late 2006 and premiered the finished cut at the Green Gallery in Milwaukee a few months later.
