Moviola from 1992 album Moviola (Film Score Re-recording Compilation).
This was the main theme for the Barbara Streisand film "Prince of Tides" which was rejected.
Later used by John Barry in the Imax film "Across the sea of Time".
John Barry Prendergast, (3 November 1933 - 30 January 2011) was an English conductor and composer of film music. He is best known for composing the soundtracks for 12 of the James Bond films between 1962 and 1987. He wrote the scores to the award winning films Midnight Cowboy, Dances with Wolves and Out of Africa, in a career which lasted over 50 years. Born in York, North Riding of Yorkshire, Barry spent his early years working in cinemas owned by his father.
During his National Service in Cyprus, Barry began performing as a musician having learned to play the trumpet. Upon completing his national service, he formed his own band in 1957, The John Barry Seven. He later developed an interest in composing and arranging music making his début for television in 1958. He came to the notice of the makers of the first James Bond film Dr. No who were dissatisfied with a theme for James Bond given to them by Monty Norman. This started a successful association between Barry and the James Bond films which lasted for 25 years.
He received awards for his work, including five Academy Awards, two for Born Free, and one each for The Lion in Winter (for which he also won a BAFTA Award), Dances with Wolves and Out of Africa (both of which also won him Grammy Awards). He also received ten Golden Globe Award nominations, winning once for Best Original Score for Out of Africa in 1986. Barry completed his last film score, Enigma in 2001 and recorded the successful album Eternal Echoes the same year. He then concentrated chiefly on live performances and co wrote the music to the musical Brighton Rock in (2004) alongside Don Black.
Barry was married four times and had four children. He moved to the United States in 1975 and lived there for the remainder of his life until his death in 2011.

Numa sala ampla de pé direito alto, que durante esse período acomodou a soma de equipamentos de 2 estúdios e que foi transformada em um distinto e instigante estúdio de ensaio e captação. Foram registradas seis músicas, com a produção de Daniel Pampuri e assistência e registro fotográficos de José Roberto. A mixagem também assinada por Daniel Pampuri foi feita no estúdio FlapC4 em São Paulo, SP, e a masterização foi executada por Levi Seitz no estúdio Black Belt Mastering em Seattle, EUA.

She was director & John and her had artistic differences & they had a falling out. Nothing uncommon when dealing with Barbara's sizeable ego for many in the industry. Later well into post production, the producer played it to her. She loved it asking who wrote it & then the producer told her straight up, "John wrote that for you..." which apparently stopped Barbara dead in her tracks.

A Moviola is a device that allows a film editor to view film while editing. It was the first machine for motion picture editing when it was invented by Iwan Serrurier in 1924. Moviola the company is still in existence and is located in Hollywood where part of the facility is located on one of the original Moviola factory floors.
Iwan Serrurier's original 1917 concept for the Moviola was as a home movie projector to be sold to the general public. The name was derived from the name "Victrola" since Serrurier thought his invention would do for home movie viewing what the Victrola did for home music listening (The Moviola even came in a beautiful wooden cabinet similar to the Victrolas). But since the machine cost $600 in 1920 (equivalent to $20,000 in the 2000s), very few sold. An editor at Douglas Fairbanks Studios suggested that Iwan should adapt the device for use by film editors. Serrurier did this and the Moviola as an editing device was born in 1924 with the first Moviola being sold to Douglas Fairbanks himself. Ninety four years later, a framed copy of the original receipt still resides at Moviola, the company, in Hollywood.

Moviola from 1992 album Moviola (Film Score Re-recording Compilation).
This was the main theme for the Barbara Streisand film "Prince of Tides" which was rejected.
Later used by John Barry in the Imax film "Across the sea of Time".
John Barry Prendergast, (3 November 1933 - 30 January 2011) was an English conductor and composer of film music. He is best known for composing the soundtracks for 12 of the James Bond films between 1962 and 1987. He wrote the scores to the award winning films Midnight Cowboy, Dances with Wolves and Out of Africa, in a career which lasted over 50 years. Born in York, North Riding of Yorkshire, Barry spent his early years working in cinemas owned by his father.
During his National Service in Cyprus, Barry began performing as a musician having learned to play the trumpet. Upon completing his national service, he formed his own band in 1957, The John Barry Seven. He later developed an interest in composing and arranging music making his début for television in 1958. He came to the notice of the makers of the first James Bond film Dr. No who were dissatisfied with a theme for James Bond given to them by Monty Norman. This started a successful association between Barry and the James Bond films which lasted for 25 years.
He received awards for his work, including five Academy Awards, two for Born Free, and one each for The Lion in Winter (for which he also won a BAFTA Award), Dances with Wolves and Out of Africa (both of which also won him Grammy Awards). He also received ten Golden Globe Award nominations, winning once for Best Original Score for Out of Africa in 1986. Barry completed his last film score, Enigma in 2001 and recorded the successful album Eternal Echoes the same year. He then concentrated chiefly on live performances and co wrote the music to the musical Brighton Rock in (2004) alongside Don Black.
Barry was married four times and had four children. He moved to the United States in 1975 and lived there for the remainder of his life until his death in 2011.

Numa sala ampla de pé direito alto, que durante esse período acomodou a soma de equipamentos de 2 estúdios e que foi transformada em um distinto e instigante estúdio de ensaio e captação. Foram registradas seis músicas, com a produção de Daniel Pampuri e assistência e registro fotográficos de José Roberto. A mixagem também assinada por Daniel Pampuri foi feita no estúdio FlapC4 em São Paulo, SP, e a masterização foi executada por Levi Seitz no estúdio Black Belt Mastering em Seattle, EUA.

She was director & John and her had artistic differences & they had a falling out. Nothing uncommon when dealing with Barbara's sizeable ego for many in the industry. Later well into post production, the producer played it to her. She loved it asking who wrote it & then the producer told her straight up, "John wrote that for you..." which apparently stopped Barbara dead in her tracks.
