World's largest manufacturer of musical instruments Yamaha Corporation interested...
The talks with the leadership of the
Japanese corporation were held in
Minsk.
Oleg Rezanovich reports:
Borisov factory of musical instruments established in 1935 produced pianos, dulcimers and acoustic guitars.
5 years have passed since the time the Borisov factory of musical instruments seized its production. It went bankrupt.
It's hard to believe, because
Belarusian piano and cymbals were renowned all over the
Soviet Union.
In the recent years of its existence the factory was in a deplorable state. Many people found themselves laid off.

The company has searched for investors for five years.
Finally, the
CEO of the
Yamaha Corporation arrived in Minsk today.
(Yoshyhiro Doi, senior managing director of the "Yamaha Corporation

Japanese investors had both commercial interest and interest in the talent of some of the Belarusian guitarists who have chosen
Japanese instruments for their live performances.

Victor Smolsky and Irina Ignatyuk, which are well-known in many countries around the world.
We are therefore ready to assist them and are confident that our cooperation with
Belarus will continue to develop in a rapid pace.")
The final decision on the scope of cooperation with Belarus is still pending. But, according to preliminary agreements, the Japanese were going to open its branded music school in Minsk. And as for the reconstruction of the Borisov factory, the Japanese have promised to discuss the issue at the next meeting of the company's management.
