Clare’s senior hurling management team have confirmed that midfielder Colm Galvin has rejoined the inter-county panel after returning from Boston.

The 22-year-old Clonlara clubman Galvin had been playing for the Tipperary club in Boston for the past two months.

Galvin featured on the Clare teams that won All-Ireland U21 titles in 2012, 2013 and 2014, and also helped the Banner County to its fourth All-Ireland Hurling Championship title in 2013.

"Ahead of his departure to the US, the management team assured Colm that the door would remain open for his return to the squad should he decide to come home over the course of the summer,” said Clare manager Davy Fitgerald.

“During the past couple of weeks Colm expressed his desire to return and through regular communication with his father Kevin, we were only too delighted to invite him to rejoin the squad."

2013 All Star Galvin will resume training with the Clare senior panel this week, and Fitzgerald said he expected him to be part of the match-day panel for the Banner County’s qualifier against Offaly on 4 July.
