6-foot shark caught along NC coast

A six-foot shark was caught along Atlantic Beach on Monday morning, according to WCTI. Troy Dreyfus, owner of Pirate Radio in Greenville, was enjoying some waves on Monday when someone hauled the shark in. Dreyfus was able to capture video of the shark being reeled in. The person who caught the shark unhooked it and dragged it back to the ocean where it swam away, WCTI reported. No one was injured, but everyone got quite the fish story to tell.

SANTA BARBARA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA — Cleanup crews are working around the clock to scoop up the thousand of gallons of oil spilled along the California coast by a broken pipeline on Tuesday. The U.S. Coast Guard has said the cleanup process may take months. Latest estimates show that up to 2,500 barrels, or 105,000 gallons of petroleum spilled onto San Refugio State Beach and into the Pacific ocean west of Santa Barbara, Reuters reported. About one fifth of the amount is believed to have reached the ocean, leaving slicks stretching for more than 9 miles along the coast, according to Reuters. More than 300 cleanup workers are currently working around the clock to shovel oil from the sand, NBC News reported. More than 3,000 feet of boom and 18 vessels have been deployed in the cleanup process, according to KEYT. About 143 barrels, or 6,000 gallons of oil have so far been recovered, Los Angeles Times reported. Further, lobbyists for powerful economic and political interests end up dictating energy policies that don't favor the interests of the public, he remarked, adding that this discourages people from bringing forward new energy sources. "I think we should be continually expanding...and innovating, trying new ideas out," with the caveat that any new method needs to be scientifically proven to have a net benefit before it's added to the grid, he suggested. Regarding nuclear power, Droz favors developing it in a more decentralized manner with SMRs (small modular reactors)-- nuclear facilities that are the size of a backyard garden shed. The notion that some forms of energy are "free, clean & green" is more a marketing ploy than a scientific assessment, and in the case of wind energy, wholly inaccurate, he asserted. Wind energy is actually "horrifically polluting," as turbines depend on thousands of pounds of rare earth elements made in China, where the process for producing them is extraordinarily environmentally destructive, he explained. ---------------------------- In the latter half, psychic Joseph Jacobs, who has counseled over 15,000 people since 1982, shared his latest predictions for the future, and offered readings for callers. He recently looked at the city of Los Angeles, and California for the period running from the end of July through the beginning of September 2015, and saw heavy influences. There could be an earthquake in California, particularly in August, he said, adding that August will be a tough month worldwide with shipping and waterway problems, and huge amounts of flooding. There will also be weather issues in October, he said. Regarding presidential candidates, Jeb Bush is on the upswing, and 2016 will be powerful and successful cycle for him, he foresees. Coast To Coast AM - June 16, 2015 Talking Boards, UFOs & Celebrities In the first half of the program, paranormal researcher Timothy Green Beckley spoke about celebrities' encounters with UFOs and the paranormal including David Bowie, Muhammad Ali, and Shirley MacLaine, whose interest in UFOs dates back decades. She had a sighting of a giant craft in Mexico, paranormal experiences in Peru, and went to meet contactee Billy Meier in Switzerland, he revealed. Bowie's interest in UFOs also went way back, as he edited a UFO newsletter as a teenager, and had several of his own sightings, Beckley cited. He also detailed a miraculous UFO encounter that occurred to Jimi Hendrix's band, as well incidents involving Sammy Hagar, Moody Blues, KISS, and Black Sabbath. Larry Warren, who broke the story of the Bentwaters UFO case, joined the show for a segment to discuss how Jackie Gleason confided in him about seeing alien bodies in a freezer at Homestead AFB around 1974 with President Richard Nixon, who was his golfing buddy. Gleason, who had become a huge UFO & paranormal buff with an extensive private library, met Warren in the 1980s after he was publicizing the Bentwaters case. Gleason said the dead alien bodies were about the size of children, and that they were temporarily being kept on ice, possibly after a UFO crash occurred in Florida. -------------------- In the latter half, the world’s foremost collector, historian, and expert on Ouija and Talking Boards, Robert Murch discussed the recent popularity of the "Charlie Charlie" game which purportedly can summon a 'Mexican demon' by using two pencils balanced on a piece of paper, like a simplified version of the Ouija board. The origin of the game may have been part of a social media campaign for the upcoming movie, The Gallows, which has a character named Charile, Murch noted. Yet, even if the game has roots in a fictional character, people's attempts to contact or conjure a spirit can have unsettling effects, he commented. A person's intent in using the Ouija board as well as the type of questions asked are important in terms of keeping the experience a positive one, he said, adding that the chances of contacting something truly evil are very, very low, though not completely impossible. Murch, who founded the Talking Board Historical Society, has thousands of boards and related materials in his collection (view some vintage items), and hopes to one day start a Ouija/Talking Board Museum. Ouija recently celebrated its 125th anniversary in April with a OUIJACON in Baltimore, and the Smithsonian has shown interest in the historical aspects of Ouija and spirit communications, he reported. Morningstar, discussed the disturbing implications of TPP - the Trans Pacific Pact, and the secret protocols which are being hidden from US citizens. He explained that the TPP, which appears to be merely a trade agreement amongst nations, contains a number of clandestine rules which threaten the sanctity of American law and are forbidden from being revealed by members of Congress. According to Morningstar, one such protocol, which has been leaked to the public, requires disputes between foreign corporations to be resolved via "panels of lawyers that would stand above and apart from the American courts." Beyond the legal implications of the TPP, Morningstar theorized that the agreement may also be a covert military coalition aimed at ultimately battling China. During his appearance, Morningstar also detailed his research into the secret German flying saucer project known as 'Haunebu.' He explained that, for nearly seventy years, researchers have been baffled by the origins of that moniker for the program. However, Morningstar was stunned to see this enigmatic word in the text of the Rosetta Stone, where it is used to describe technologically advanced Aegean people. Therefore, he surmised that the Nazis "came to the ancient alien conclusion" that has grown in popularity in recent years, believing that they were the descendants of these technologists. As such, he said, the flying saucer program was dubbed 'Haunebu' as veritable tribute to these advanced ancient people. ------------------------------ In the latter half of the program, naturopathic physician and author Dr. Rita Louise talked about how ancient gods may have been ETs, as well as the mysteries and symbolism of ancient architecture. She detailed how her latest research has been aimed at coalescing all the various myths and legends from around the world and throughout time in order to create a coherent version of Earth's past. Louise observed that "cultures, worldwide, all basically tell the same story with their own spin to it," marveling that "the commonalities are unbelievable." Additionally, since her work required finding similar stories from disparate cultures, such as Sumerians and Native Americans, Louise expressed skepticism that these were simply tales that originated in one place and spread throughout the world. Based on her research, Louise has concluded that, rather than simply visiting our planet at the dawn of Sumerian civilization as some researchers believe, the ET intervention occurred 3.8 billion years ago when they "helped to terraform the planet." She pointed to numerous legends and myths where a God is killed and their subsequent body parts are used to create the Earth. Beyond that, Louise noted that the physical descriptions of these entities as well as their alleged origins suggests that there were at least four different races of ETs visiting Earth and interacting with both humans and each other during ancient times. Coast To Coast AM - May 19, 2015 The Mysterious Anunnaki In the first half, scientist and researcher Michael Tellinger discussed the Anunnaki, an ancient ET race he believes created humanity through genetic tinkering to serve as slaves for their gold mining operations. As evidence for the Annunaki's presence, he cited the massive number of ancient stone circles found in South Africa, and Zimbabwe, which date back at least 300,000 years. The circles vary in size from 15 feet across to 450 ft. and Tellinger believes they originally functioned as energy generating devices, though in more recent times some of them have been converted into dwellings. Just recently someone was drilling in a South African mine, when a wall collapsed and revealed an older mining tunnel that was made with such precision that it could not have been constructed with current technology, he reported. The Anunnaki used a silicon-based technology that incorporated sound and resonance as a source of energy, he continued. The timeline suggested by Zecharia Sitchin for the Anunnaki genetic experiments (around 300,000 years ago) falls in line with the first emergence of homo sapiens, he added. As humanity evolved and started reaching higher levels of consciousness, the Anunnaki became concerned and took away their language (this is what is called the 'Tower of Babel' event), Tellinger explained. --------------------------- In the latter half, Lisa Garr, host of the syndicated radio program The Aware Show, as well as occasional C2C shows, discussed the brain injury she sustained during a mountain bike race in 1999, her subsequent NDE, and how she rebuilt her brain and life using specific visualization techniques. During her near-death experience, she found herself in a vast expansive dimension, yet she was also able to observe her body below as paramedics worked on her. Interestingly, she experienced the thoughts and feelings of the medics. "It was like I was everything; I was the sky, I was the people down below...it was complete coherence with the entire field," she said. During her 18-month recovery, she had to regain her memory and language skills, and was able to eventually do so through neurofeedback and various brain exercises. Coast To Coast AM - June 15, 2015 Mars: Extinctions & Evolution Biology professor Peter Ward discussed his recent work about why life on Earth had to have begun on Mars, as well as new data about evolutionary processes, and various extinction eras. His studies of early life on Earth centered on the crucial molecule known as RNA, which is the precursor to DNA life as we know it. But the "R" in RNA comes from the sugar named Ribose, which likely couldn't have existed on the early Earth because it would have needed a desert climate for it to be formed. Ward pointed out that the early Earth was entirely water covered, and conjectured that early life was brought here from meteorites ejected off Mars. Interestingly, Ward suggested that oxygen was the worst poison that life on early Earth encountered, as photosynthesis developed. "There was a quick mutation-- one or two cells probably survived, and they became the ancestors of all of us," he explained. Even after three billion years, we still take anti-oxidant supplements to combat the harmful and caustic effects of oxygen, he added. There were periods when our sun was weaker, in which the Earth became like a frozen snowball, with carbon dioxide pulled out of the atmosphere. These eras took place 2.5 billion years ago, and 600-800 million years ago, and may have lasted for 10-50 million year stretches, he noted. A revolution is sweeping the field of biology, leading to new evolutionary pathways, he remarked. While the last century was about electronics, the new one is going to be focused on biology-- "We're going to get living organisms to do much of what electronics does now; we're going to have computers that are running through biological systems," he said. Ward also talked about how crows might be the next species to evolve in intelligence, citing their complex communication skills, and how they were able to recognize and attack the specific scientists who had done experiments on other crows at the University of Washington college campus. Regarding his book about Facebook-- "The Accidental Billionaires," (which served as basis for the film The Social Network), he described meeting Mark Zuckerberg's former partner Eduardo Saverin, before the story about their falling out/dispute was publicly known. Groups like the Bilderbergs and the CFR seek to consolidate power under a central government, he said. Based on his research, the most common offering from these entities is some form of liquid, whether it be ales and wine from faeries or mysterious drinks forced upon abductees by their captors. Additionally, he said, many contactees have reported receiving sweet fruit juice when encountering a 'space brother.' Cutchin suggested that the longstanding faerie lore, which warned that accepting food from these entities would trap the recipient in their supernatural world, may have a connection to the after-effects which befall ET abductees who are administered liquids or 'medicines' during their experience. Regarding the foods provided by these entities, Cutchin noted that faeries have been known to offer baked goods or other elaborate items which are later revealed to actually be detritus, such as leaves, twigs, and worms, that has been seemingly "cloaked with this sort of glamour to make it appear appealing." He connected this observation with the famous UFO case of Joe Simonton, who allegedly received pancakes from his ET visitors but, when attempting to eat the food, described it as tasting like cardboard. Therefore, Cutchin surmised that these food exchanges may be part of an agenda which goes beyond merely providing sustenance to hungry humans. On the other hand, he observed that the simpler food offerings from Sasquatch, usually raw meat, indicate that the creature is more likely to be a flesh and blood animal rather than a paranormal entity using food for nefarious purposes. -------------------------------- In the latter half, Lon Strickler, paranormal researcher and creator of the website Phantoms and Monsters, detailed a handful of weird stories he's been following including credible reports of people witnessing reptoids living in caves. Strickler shared one account which was personally reported to him by a man using the pseudonym 'Jerry.' According to Jerry, in the Summer of 1995, he was exploring a cavern in Missouri when he spotted an entity described as standing about seven feet tall, with brown, scaly skin and a head that was shaped like a human but had no nose or hair. While Jerry spied on the creature as it examined a downed ATV in the cave, the reptoid seemingly noticed his presence, looking over at him and hissing. Frightened, Jerry scrambled out of the cave to his vehicle and hastily returned home. Beyond reptoid encounters, Strickler shared a number of stories related to possible bidepal canine cryptids spotted in the southern Ontario region of Canada. In one such instance, a man was driving and noticed a dark shape cross the road. When he got closer, he saw a creature with a small head that sported bright yellow eyes. This witness, Strickler said, claimed that a coworker had also recently seen a wolf-shaped creature bound across the road in front of his vehicle. "For whatever reason, people in southern Ontario are coming up with these sightings," Strickler marveled, noting that he'd also received a third account from a man who reported seeing "a large dog that looked almost like a wolf, but it had straight legs like a human" and stood upright on the side of the road. The spraying of our skies appears to be related to weather modification, and Rear Admiral Luis de Florez advocated all the way back in 1961 making weather control as important in scope as the Manhattan Project, which produced the first A bomb, Kirby recounted. Various published patents show how aerosols placed in the atmosphere can be manipulated in order to modify the weather, he continued. Chemtrail spraying is largely done now by drones that are flown remotely, as pilots have become a liability, he asserted. As evidence for the spraying, he cited massive amounts of aluminum and barium showing up in rainwater samples taken from around the world. Rather than the spraying being used to combat global warming, he believes a more sinister agenda, conducted by a rogue faction of the military, is afoot. For instance, the epic drought in California could be caused by chemtrails, in order to bankrupt farmers and then have monied interests buy up the farmlands, he suggested. Yet, Kirby believes that the chemtrails progam may be coming to an end due to a military incident in October 2013 allegedly involving nuclear devices near Charleston, SC. In the aftermath of this event, certain elements will be purged from the military, including those who run the chemtrails program, he predicted. In the latter half, he discussed a variety of subjects including his own ET abduction experience, as well as his activism against the 2011 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA). In December 1977, while staying in Lake Tahoe, as a violent lightning storm was taking place, his room was suddenly inhabited by three 8-ft. tall space-suited figures (they closely resembled the photo of an ET figure taken by Jeff Grenshaw in 1973). When he started screaming, he was placed in a blue bubble and the side of the house fell away, and he found himself being transported in a wormhole-like tunnel. Perala was suddenly in a spherical room facing a glass obelisk, then quickly hurled back, lowered onto his bed. The faces of the ETs were covered by visors, and they had orange antennas. Martin, who founded Shasta Supernatural Investigators in 1979, discussed malevolent inhuman spirits or demons, and what he's done to combat hauntings or spirit infestations. He was initially involved in witchcraft, specializing in the summoning of spirits, which he later learned were actually harmful demons. In 1979, he was ordained into the priesthood and began helping others combat demons they were plagued with. Demons are not the spirits of the deceased, but rather negative entities that can manipulate any kind of matter on Earth, he outlined. Another faction in the spirit world are spirit helpers or angels, whom Martin has been able to engage in exorcism or possession cases. The exorcism ritual generally only takes a few minutes to successfully complete because these powerful angelic entities are doing the work, he explained. In one case Martin was called in on, the disturbed person was eating turtle paste out of a can, wandering naked outside, always angry, and writing nonsense in a notebook, and then writing over it in a different language. Malevolent spirits are very secretive, hiding personal objects, creating poltergeist-like effects in one's home, and telling a person to do things in a whispering voice, he detailed. Typically, he continued, the more attention a person gives to such phenomena, the more the demon thinks the person is interested in them, as they look for an invitation or acknowledgment to further insinuate their presence. Martin said that inanimate objects such as dolls are not capable of directly being possessed but that demons can move them around in a kind of mental projection, and even create sounds such as footsteps. Coast To Coast AM - June 14, 2015 Geo-engineering & Dreams In the first half of the program, George Noory was joined by filmmaker Michael Murphy, who provided an update on his research into chemtrails as well as his new film about geoengineering, titled An UNConventional Shade of Grey. "There's no question about it," he declared, "geoengineering is one of the largest climate forces." However, Murphy lamented, these clandestine programs are not taken into account by climate change experts when they devise their models of the phenomenon. Without accounting for geoengineering, he contended, these studies are flawed and "it's literally impossible to determine whether the planet is warming or cooling." According to him, this omission is not accidental and, in fact, part of a larger agenda aimed at tinkering with the Earth's climate in order to facilitate new regulations which will benefit corporate and government interests. Regarding chemtrails, Murphy expressed concern that these aerosol sprays not only contain toxic materials but also that they in the form of nanoparticles which are ingested by people simply through the act of breathing. He claimed that blood tests done by people studying chemtrails have revealed "very, very high levels of the primary ingredients of geoengineering programs" such as aluminum and barium, which are known to cause cancers and lower the immune system. One newly discovered development on the geoengineering front, he said, is the presence of boats which seem to be dispersing these aerosols into the atmosphere in the form of large clouds. As such, Murphy plans on commissioning an airplane to fly into a chemtrail cloud to collect samples and, hopefully, prove the veracity of the phenomenon to the skeptics who dismiss researchers as simply conspiracy theorists. ------------------------------------------------ In the latter half, author and leading expert on the paranormal, Rosemary Ellen Guiley, discussed the extraordinary nature of dreams and the importance they have on our daily lives. While around seventy-five percent of our dreams concern normal stresses and anxieties, she said, occasional "big dreams" occur which "take us beyond daily life." Guiley explained that these experiences can feature life-altering events such as encounters with God and spirits of the dead, the discovery of solutions to problems or newfound creativity, and even healing as well as glimpses of the future. Based on her research, many of these "big dreams" happen when a person is going through tremendous personal upheaval, such as a health crisis or relationship change, or when they are nearing middle age and are compelled to reexamine their life. On the fleeting nature of dreams, Guiley explained that, since they exist in our short term memory, dreams are "likely to evaporate" very quickly as a person begins their daily routine. In turn, she advised people to be expedient in recording or recounting their dreams in order to harness the information before it is lost from memory. She also stressed that, while often terrifying or unsettling, nightmares can be a valuable asset to people since they allow them to resolve issues which may be too difficult to confront in the waking state. "For most people," she mused, "nightmares really are an ally because they are forcing us to focus attention on an area of life that needs to be addressed."
