Novak Djokovic (Serbian: Novak Đoković, Новак Ђоковић, pronounced [nôʋaːk d͡ʑôːkoʋit͡ɕ] ( listen); born 22 May 1987) is a Serbian professional tennis player and former world No. 1 who is currently ranked world No. 2 by the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP). He is generally considered to be one of the greatest tennis players of all time.
Djokovic has won six Grand Slam singles titles and has held the No. 1 spot in the ATP rankings for a total of 101 weeks. By winning three Grand Slam titles in 2011, Djokovic became the sixth male player to win three Grand Slams in a calendar year. By reaching the 2012 French Open final, he became the ninth player in the Open Era to reach the final of all four Grand Slam singles tournaments and became only the fifth to do so consecutively. Amongst other titles, he won the Tennis Masters Cup in 2008, 2012 and 2013 and was on the Serbian team which won the 2010 Davis Cup. He also won the Bronze medal in men's singles at the 2008 Summer Olympics. He has won 19 Masters 1000 series titles, breaking a single-season record with five titles in 2011. This places him third on the list of Masters 1000 winners since its inception in 1990.
He holds several men's world records of the Open Era: becoming the youngest player in the Open Era to have reached the semifinals of all four Grand Slam events both separately and consecutively; the first and only man to win three consecutive Australian Open titles in the Open Era; and playing the longest Grand Slam men's singles final in history (5 hours 53 minutes). Djokovic's ATP tournament records include winning 31 consecutive ATP World Tour Masters 1000 series matches, playing in the finals at all nine ATP Masters 1000 tournaments (a record shared by Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal), and being the only player to win eight.
Djokovic is the first Serbian player to win multiple Grand Slams and the first Serbian player to rank No. 1 for more than 100 weeks. He is the first male player representing Serbia to win a Grand Slam singles title. Djokovic has won numerous awards, including the 2011 Laureus World Sports Award for Sportsman of the Year and the 2012 Best Male Tennis Player ESPY Award. He has won the ATP World Tour Player of the Year twice consecutively, in 2011 and 2012. He is a recipient of the Order of St. Sava and the Order of the Star of Karađorđe.
Djokovic was born on 22 May 1987 in Belgrade, Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, to parents Srđan and Dijana (née Žagar). His two younger brothers, Marko and Đorđe, are also tennis players with professional aspirations. Residing in Monte Carlo, Djokovic has been coached by former Slovak tennis player Marián Vajda since 2006. Similar to Roger Federer, Djokovic is a self-described fan of languages, speaking Serbian, English, German, Italian and a little French. He has been dating Jelena Ristić since 2005 and the two became engaged in September 2013. On 24 April 2014, he announced on his Twitter page that he and Jelena are expecting their first child.
Djokovic began playing tennis at the age of four. In the summer of 1993, the six-year-old was spotted by Yugoslav tennis player Jelena Genčić at Mount Kopaonik where Djokovic's parents ran a fast-food parlour. Upon seeing Djokovic play tennis, she stated: "This is the greatest talent I have seen since Monika Seleš." Genčić worked with young Djokovic over the following six years before realizing that, due to his rapid development, going abroad in search of increased level of competition was the best option for his future. To that end, she contacted Nikola Pilić and in September 1999 the 12-year-old moved to the Pilić tennis academy in Oberschleißheim, Germany, spending four years there. At the age of 14, he began his international career, winning European championships in singles, doubles, and team competition.
Djokovic is known for his often humorous off-court impersonations of his fellow players, many of whom are his friends. This became evident to the tennis world after his 2007 US Open quarterfinal win over Carlos Moyá, where he entertained the audience with impersonations of Rafael Nadal and Maria Sharapova. His impersonations have also become very popular on video sharing website YouTube. Djokovic also did an impression of John McEnroe after his fourth round match victory at the 2009 US Open, before playing a brief game with McEnroe, much to the delight of the audience. Novak Djokovic is a member of the "Champions for Peace" club, a group of famous elite athletes committed to serving peace in the world through sport, created by Peace and Sport, a Monaco-based international organization.

Roger Federer (German pronunciation: [ˈfeːdərər]; born 8 August 1981) is a Swiss professional tennis player who is currently ranked world no. 4 by the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP). He has been ranked inside the top 10 continuously since October 2002 and the top 20 since April 2001. Numerous commentators, pundits, and former and current players of the sport regard Federer as the greatest tennis player of all time.
He holds several men's world records of the Open Era: holding the world no. 1 position for 302 weeks overall, including a 237-consecutive-week stretch at the top from 2004 to 2008; winning 17 Grand Slam singles titles; reaching each Grand Slam Final at least five times (an all-time record); and reaching the Wimbledon final eight times. He is one of seven men, and one of four in the Open Era, to capture the career Grand Slam. Federer also shares the Open Era record for most titles at the Australian Open with Agassi and Novak Djokovic (4), at Wimbledon with Pete Sampras (7) and at the US Open with Jimmy Connors and Sampras (5).
Federer has appeared in 24 men's Grand Slam finals, with 10 in a row, both records, and appeared in 18 of 19 finals from the 2005 Wimbledon Championships through to the 2010 Australian Open. He is the only man to reach at least the semifinals of 23 consecutive Grand Slam tournaments, from the 2004 Wimbledon Championships through the 2010 Australian Open. At the 2014 French Open, he reached a record 58th consecutive Grand Slam tournament. Earlier at the 2014 Australian Open, he extended his record to 34th Grand Slam semi-final and reached a record 41st Grand Slam quarter-final (shared with Connors), and at the 2013 French Open reached a record 36th consecutive Grand Slam quarter-final. He has also won the most matches, 267, in men's Grand Slam tournaments and is the only player to record 60+ wins each at all the Grand Slam tournaments.
Federer's ATP tournament records include winning six ATP World Tour Finals (an all-time record), playing in the finals at all nine ATP Masters 1000 tournaments (a record shared with Djokovic and Nadal), and having won the most prize money of any player in history, with over $80,000,000. Roger Federer holds the record for most tiebreaks won and best winning percentage in these situations. He also won the Olympic gold medal in doubles with his compatriot Stanislas Wawrinka at the 2008 Summer Olympic Games and the Olympic silver medal in singles at the 2012 Summer Olympic Games. By winning the Olympic silver medal at the 2012 Summer Olympics, Roger Federer achieved the Career Silver Slam and remains the only player in the Open Era to be seeded #1 for 3 consecutive Olympic Games. He spent eight years (2003--2010) continuously in the top 2 in the year-end men's rankings and ten (2003--2012) in the top 3. Federer is the first tennis player, male or female, to earn more than 50 million US dollars in prize money.
Federer has won the ATPWorldTour.com Fans' Favourite Award a record eleven times straight (2003--2013) and the Stefan Edberg Sportsmanship Award (voted for by the players) a record nine times (2004--2009, 2011--2013), both being awards indicative of respect and popularity. He also won the Arthur Ashe Humanitarian of the Year Award twice in 2006 and 2013. He was named the Laureus World Sportsman of the Year for a record four consecutive years (2005--2008). Federer is at times referred to as the Federer Express, shortened to Fed Express or FedEx, the GOAT, and the Swiss Maestro, or just Maestro.
Federer was born at the Basel Cantonal Hospital in Basel, Switzerland. His father, Robert Federer, is Swiss, from Berneck, near the borders between Switzerland, Austria and Germany, and his mother, Lynette Federer (born Durand), from Kempton Park, Gauteng, is a South African whose ancestors were Dutch and French Huguenots. Federer has one sibling, his older sister Diana. He holds both Swiss and South African citizenship. He grew up in nearby Birsfelden, Riehen and then Münchenstein, close to the French and German borders and speaks (Swiss) German, French and English fluently, German being his native language.
Federer was raised as a Roman Catholic and met Pope Benedict XVI while playing the 2006 Internazionali BNL d'Italia tournament in Rome. Like all male Swiss citizens, Federer was subject to compulsory military service in the Swiss Armed Forces. However, in 2003 he was deemed unfit because of a long-standing back problem and was subsequently not required to fulfill his military obligation. He grew up supporting F.C. Basel and the Swiss National Football Team.

He reached a career high ranking of World No. 4 during three different periods between July 2002 and October 2004. He is one of Britain's most successful open era male tennis players winning $11,635,542 prize money.
Henman started playing tennis before the age of three, and began systematic training in the Slater Squad at eleven. After suffering a serious injury which affected him for the better part of two years, he began touring internationally as a junior and achieved some successes. He rose quickly up the ATP rankings, and by 1996 had reached the quarter-finals of the Wimbledon Championships. Throughout his career, Henman was a noted grass specialist, not becoming truly comfortable on clay and hard court before the end of his career, when in 2004 he reached the semi-finals in both the French and US Open. The year 2005 began a decline for Henman, and from that year onwards he never managed to pass through the third round in a Grand Slam tournament. Henman retired from professional tennis in late 2007, but he remains active in the ATP Champions Tour (a tour for former professional tennis players).

Henman retired from professional tennis in late 2007, but he remains active in the ATP Champions Tour (a tour for former professional tennis players).

Tennis: ATP Challenger - Best of 14 Year Old Felix Auger Aliassime
The Montreal native Felix Auger Aliassime, began his ascent, making history as the first player born in the 2000's to earn a position in the ATP Rankings. Felix clamed three match victories in three days at the Challenger Banque Nationale in Drummondville, advancing through the qualifying draw with wins over former World No. 67 Chris Guccione and 2011 champion Fritz Wolmarans. Despite being forced to withdraw ahead of his first round match with an abdominal strain, he became the youngest player to qualify for a main draw in ATP Challenger Tour history. It's a fact that Aliassime shares a birthday with Federer (8/8/2000 and 8/8/1981)...especially since he looks up to Roger ;-)

Beijing Olympics 2008 Gold medal match, R. Nadal - F. Gonzalez (Highlights) HQ
Highlights of the 2008 Beijing Olympics men's singles tennis final between Rafael Nadal (ESP) and Fernando González (CHI). On his way to the final Rafa managed to seize victories over Potito Starace (6-2 3-6 6-2), Lleyton Hewitt, Igor Andreev, Jurgen Melzer and Novak Djokovic (6-4 1-6 6-4). Rafa Nadal won Spain's first singles Olympic Games gold medal and ended Roger Federer's 237 week reign at the top of the South African Airways ATP Rankings on the following Monday. Nadal himself had been ranked World No. 2 for 160 weeks befroe mounting to the No. 1 spot. 2008 was one of the best tennis seasons for 22-year-old Rafael Nadal - 8 titles - Monte Carlo (d. Federer), Barcelona (d. Ferrer), Hamburg (d. Federer), Toronto (d. Kiefer), first grasscourt title at Queen's (d. Djokovic), fourth successive Roland Garros title (d. Federer) and an outstanding five-set victory over Federer at Wimbledon. By making his Olympic Games singles debut, Nadal became the highest-ranked player to win an Olympic men’s singles titles, taking over from Andre Agassi who was ranked No. 6 when he won in Atlanta 1996. Tennis came back to being an Olympic sport in 1988 after 64 years. On his road to the final Fernando González acquired wins over Cilic, Olivier Rochus, Mathieu and James Blake, In the semi-final against Blake, Fernando managed to save three match points and won 4-6 7-5 7-6. It was Fernando González's third Olympic Medal - he won bronze in the singles at Athens 2004 and gold in the doubles with Nicolas Massu at Athens 2004. Roger Federer and Stanislas Wawrinka won the gold medal in doubles after defeating the Bryan brothers in the semi-finals and Simon Aspelin/Thomas Johansson in the final. But in the singles draw Federer could only manage to reach the quater-final where he got beaten by James Blake 6-4 7-6. In Athens Federer fell in the second round to Tomas Berdych (4-6 7-5 7-5). The Beijing Olympics Bronze Medal went to Novak Djokovic (SRB) after a 6-3 7-6 win against James Blake (USA).

Who Is Roger Federer?
Who Is Roger Federer?

Tim Henman Biography - Tennis Player
Timothy Henry "Tim" Henman, OBE (born 6 September 1974) is an English retired professional tennis player. Henman played a serve-and-volley style of tennis. He was the first player from the United Kingdom since Roger Taylor in the 1970s to reach the semi-finals of the Wimbledon Men's Singles Championship. Henman never reached the finals of any Grand Slam but reached six Grand Slam semifinals and won 15 career ATP titles (11 in singles and four in doubles) including the Paris Masters in 2003. He was ranked UK number 1 in 1996 and again from 1999 to 2005 from which point he was succeeded by Andy Murray.
