Robert Conquest - Lies about Socialism, Stalin and the USSR
This presentation by Mario Sousa - less than an hour in duration - will change your view of history. "Most sane and educated people accept that there were serious human rights abuses in the Soviet Union, during the Stalin period." he says. The evidence is 'everywhere' - everyone says so, and there's no smoke without fire, after all. But what is the evidence? And where does it come from?

Robert Spencer on ISIS' Intent to Conquer Rome and Behead the Pope
I sat down recently with Robert Spencer, author of The Complete Infidel's Guide to ISIS, to discuss the terror group's plan for Rome. While the idea of ISIS conquering Rome may sound ridiculous, Quranic Muslims --not just in ISIS-- believe the fall of Rome must take place before the final battle against the infidel armies at Dabiq, Syria and the return of the Mahdi, the Muslim "messiah."

The 20th Century has witnessed state-sponsored carnage on an unprecedented scale. What made this era so susceptible to Hitler’s “Final Solution,” Stalin’s Gulag, Mao’s “Great Leap Forward,” Pol Pot’s killing fields, and other atrocities? Does the answer lie in the rogue ideologies that found acceptance among society’s intellectual elites—“isms” that elevated the dictates of the State over the rights of the individual and the institutions of civil society? Celebrated historian Robert Conquest discusses the rise of these ideologies—and how to protect the 21st Century from their destructive grip.

Q: Can Lies become so well sold, that they are 'universally' regarded as as facts?
A: Almost, yes. When the popele selling the lies have very strong interest in peddling them, and powerful means of propagating them.
Such is the nature of the dissemination of information in our modern world, that sometimes fires rage without any smoke reaching our senses - and at other times smoke is amplified and generated so that news of some incident or atrocitiy fills our minds, out of all proportion to the events which are being related. This is the art of mass media, and population control, and British and US capitalists, via political, academic and media institutions have been perfecting their gobbelsian art for decades, and centuries.

Recently, the world learned of the death of Robert Conquest, a 'historian' and author who worked for the Information Research Department (IRD) – an innocuously-named operation set up by the Labour government to produce and spread influential anti-communist propaganda throughout the British media and arts.
Establishment obituaries have been quick to promote Conquest's credentials as a singularly brilliant scholar who was responsible for revealing the 'horrors' of the USSR. They quietly ignore his strong connections with semi-fascist and anti-communist propaganda organisations, the Britisha nd American political police, and his deeply contentious use of - entirely fabricated - 'sources' for his allegations that amount to outright fraud, but are carefully propagated and scarcely challenged by the capitalist academic and political coterie.
In the words of Grover Furr "Robert Conquest, after Leon Trotsky arguably the chief anti-communist and anti-Stalin propagandist of the 20th century, has died. Naturally, the capitalist media are fawning over him.
"A lot could be said about Conquest, but below are some facts (I have checked them) concerning Conquest's most famous book The Great Terror.
"Robert Conquest has been identified as having worked for the Information Research Department (IRD) from when it was set up until 1956. The IRD (originally called the Communist Information Bureau) was a British foreign office section set up in 1947 [under the Labour government of Clem Attlee] whose main task was to combat communist influence throughout the world by planting fabricated stories among politicians, journalists and others in a position to influence public opinion.
"After officially leaving the IRD, Conquest continued to write books on lines suggested by the IRD, with Secret Service support. Perhaps his most well-known book, The Great Terror, is a universally-propagated anti-communist text on the subject of the power struggle that took place in the Soviet Union in 1937. In fact, the book was a re-compilation of articles Conquest had written when working for the secret services.
"The Great Terror was finished and published under the supervision, and with the help of, the IRD – at that time the chief anti-communist propaganda wing of the British political police. A third of the publication run was bought by the Praeger Press, normally associated with the publication of literature originating from CIA sources.
"Conquest's book was intended for presentation to 'useful fools', such as university professors and people working in the press, radio and TV. Yet despite this inherently biased and decidedly dodgy provenance, Conquest's fabrications remain, for most establishment (anti-communist) historians, one of the most important 'primary sources' of material on the Soviet Union! [1][2]"

Oh, and ISIS also plans to behead the Pope. The interview is below.

Bertrand Russell (1872 -- 1970) was a British philosopher, logician, mathematician, historian, and social critic. MONSTER: A PORTRAIT OF STALIN IN BLOOD
1992.
This six part series, produced by Alexandre Ivankin at Contact Studio, Moscow, uses never before released films from the Russian archives and personal interviews to tell the true story of the annihilation of approximately 40 million Russians by Stalin.
Episode 4: The Private Life of Joseph Stalin. Stalin is born of doubtful parenthood and grows up a Marxist and a revolutionary, organizing riots and robbing banks to fund party activities. While Stalin is twice-married, both wives die suspicious deaths, the first of "typhoid" after being kicked in the stomach while pregnant, and the second of "appendicitis" after committing suicide. Stalin then systematically murders or imprisons his many in-laws. Witnesses of these events furnish the horrid details.
Stalin was born Joseph Dzhugashvili in the Georgian town of Gori in 1879. He was an early activist in the Bolshevik movement, where he first assumed the pseudonym Stalin (which means "man of steel"). He was named General Secretary of the Communist Party in 1922, a post Stalin used to fortify his power base. When Vladimir Lenin died in 1924, a struggle for control broke out hat pitted Stalin against his nemesis, Leon Trotsky, and a host of lesser party figures. Stalin's victory was slow and hard-fought, but by1927 he had succeeded in having Trotsky expelled from the party.
By 1928, Stalin was entrenched as supreme Soviet leader, and he wasted little time in launching a series of national campaigns (the so-called Five-Year Plans) aimed at "collectivizing" the peasantry and turning the USSR into a powerful industrial state. Both campaigns featured murder on a massive scale.
The millions of deaths in Stalin's "Gulag Archipelago" (the network of labour camps [gulags] scattered across the length and breath of Russia) were a consequence of Stalin's drive for total control, and his pressing need for convict labour to fuel rapid industrialization.
For Stalin, dissident viewpoints represented an unacceptable threat. This was the origin of the "cult of personality" that permeated Soviet politics and culture, depicting Stalin as infallible, almost deity-like. Beginning in 1935, the series of immense internal purges sent millions of party members and ordinary individuals to their deaths, either through summary executions or in the atrocious conditions of the "Gulag Archipelago." Soviet institutions and sectors like the Communist Party, the Army, the NKVD, and scientists and engineers were decimated by these purges.
The "Old Bolshevik" elite was targeted in three key "show trials" between 1936 and 1938, in which leaders such as Lev Kamenev, Nikolai Bukharin, and Grigori Zinoviev were accused of conspiring with Trotskyite elements to undermine communism in the USSR.
When the "Old Bolsheviks" had been consigned to oblivion, their successors and replacements quickly followed them. The destruction of the officer corps, about 35,000 military officers shot or imprisoned, and, in particula,r the execution of the brilliant chief-of-staff Marshal Tukhachevsky, is considered one of the major reasons for the spectacular Nazi successes in the early months of the German invasion in WWII.
The impetus to "cleanse" the social body rapidly spilled beyond these elite boundaries, and the greatest impact of the Purge was felt in the wider society. Relatives of those accused and arrested, including wives and children down to the age of twelve, were themselves often condemned under the "counter-terrorism" legislation.
With the fall of communism and the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991, Soviet scholars like Edvard Radzinsky and Dmitri Volkogonov have published prominent exposés of Stalinist rule, based on newly-opened archives (see "Further Reading"). And the estimates of the death toll arrived at by Robert Conquest and others, long denounced as craven exaggerations, have been shown instead to be, if anything, understated.

Daniel Bernhardt was born on the 31st August 1965 in Warblaufen, Bern in Switzerland. After finishing high school, he studied architectural design for four years and graduated in Bern. At the same time he opened a martial arts school with his brother. After completing his studies, Daniel moved to Paris and started to work as model. He worked for such designers as Montana, Mugler, Boss,Cerruti, Versace, Jaene Barnes and was published in the magazines Vogue, Elle, Max, Interview, Cosmopolitan and later, he established himself as a international Top Model.
Later, Bernhardt moved to New York where he was cast to co-star with Jean-Claude Van Damme in Bruce Weber's TV spot "Looking for Kicks" for Gianni Versace. Producer Marc Di Salle who launched Van Damme's carrier with Bloodsport and Kickboxer, discovered Daniel Bernhardt and cast him to star in the sequel Bloodsport II (1996) which was his debut, opposite such actors as Pat Morita and James Hong, including comic relief big guy Donald Gibb and Taekwondo champion Philip Tan. The same year, a sequel Bloodsport III (1996) was released, again with Morita and James Hong, including John-Rhys Davies, and 9th degree black belt Taekwondo master Hee II Cho.
From that point, Daniel began his career as action star on low budget films. His next films were Future War (1997), opposite Robert Z'Dar, Black Sea Raid (1997), True Vengance (1997), with Miles O'Keeffe and Beverly Johnson and Perfect Target (1997) with Robert Englund and Brian Thompson. After these films, Daniel's interest in acting became bigger and he started to study acting in Los Angeles under Harry Mastrogeorge. So, he continued with G2 (1998), again with James Hong, Bloodsport 4: The Dark Kumite (1999), the last one in the series, this time against Brazilian JuJutsu champion Stefanos Miltsakakis.
He appeared on TV series "Mortal Kombat: Conquest", as Siro, and it was followed by Global Effect (2002) and a mega hit "Matrix" sequel Matrix Reloaded (2003), where he appeared as upgraded agent Johnson, where he had an awesome fighting scene with Laurence Fishburne on the large truck, he has worked with other great names in this film, such as Keanu Reeves, Carrie-Anne Moss, Hugo Weaving, Monica Bellucci, Lambert Willson and Jada Pinket Smith. He also lent his voice to agent Johnson in Enter The Matrix video game.
The same year he filmed an action independent film, titled The Librarians (2003), where he co-starred with William Forsythe, Burt Reynolds, Erika Eleniak, Andrew Divoff, Amaury Nolasco, Christopher Atkins, Ed Lauter and Matthias Hues (whom he had a fight in the film). He worked on Children of Wax (2005), The Cutter (2005), opposite Chuck Norris and Joana Pacula, Ultimate Champion (2009) and Foodfight! (2009).
