But when her father forbids them from being together, she runs away, and gets trapped in a wildfire at the park. What's with the line at the bottom of the screen? Short answer: These episodes are ripped from old VHS tapes we bought that appear to have been from a rental store in Japan. We did the best that we could given the limitations. We ask for your understanding. ---Why are there no subs? Short answer: This anime was never dubbed or subbed and neither of us know Japanese enough to do it ourselves. ---I'm a huge fan of the Parappa games! Is the anime similar to the games? Short answer: No. Not at all. There is a variety of reasons why they are very different, but the bottom line is that this show was made with no story input from any of the game team and was intended to appeal to young children so as to sell toys. There are some familiar faces that show up in certain episodes, but are very different from their in-game counterparts. There is also a lot of cheap animation and blatant inconsistencies... If you enjoyed the quirkiness and general feeling of the games, be sure to take this show with a grain of salt. Basically, this is an anime about a rapping dog that has no actual rapping in it. If you enjoy it that's great but if you do not like it I do not blame you. ---Are you okay with me downloading this video from youtube and reuploading it? Short answer: I don't mind.
