Best DUI Lawyer Bonaire GA http:www.firstpageofgooglesearch.com Call us TODAY at (407) 744-1047 to have your Law Firm presented on this page.
Are you on the search for the right Lawyer? If so, he following information will help you choose the right lawyer for your needs.
Georgia uses the terms DUI (driving under the influence) and DWI (driving while intoxicated) interchangeably, but the trend is shifting to exclusive use of DUI because that term encompasses drugs as well as alcohol. Either term means that the driver was operating a vehicle while impaired by some type of chemical.
Blood alcohol content (BAC), tested by a breath, urine, or blood sample, will determine the penalties to be charged for an alcohol-related DUI offense. In Georgia a BAC of 0.08% or higher automatically counts as a DUI.
Note, however, that you can get a DUI with a BAC of lower than 0.08%. All the officer has to do is observe that your ability to drive is impaired, and on go the handcuffs.
Also, while alcohol and illegal drugs are clearly grounds for a DUI, legitimately prescribed or over-the counter medications can also get you in trouble. If they affect your ability to drive, and a lot of them do, you could be arrested.
Of course, it helps the State's case if the officer collects chemical evidence that your BAC was over 0.08%. To make it easier for the police to do this, Georgia (like most other states) has a law that punishes drivers who refuse to take a chemical test.
Called the Administrative License Suspension Law (also known as implied consent), it works like this: If you are pulled over and a police officer asks you to submit to a breath, blood, or urine test to determine your BAC, and if you refuse, your license may be suspended for one year.
Just take a look at some of the costs associated with DUI and DWI:
Fines: In addition to a typical (and expensive) DUI or DWI fine, some states charge additional fines and fees. Generally, these go toward drug and alcohol awareness programs, neighborhood programs, and the like. Legal Fees: A DWI lawyer doesn't come cheap. Sure, you could go the public defender route, but if you want the best shot at getting the best possible deal, it's a good idea to seek out a criminal attorney, skilled in DUI cases.
Court Costs: Going to court costs money -- even if you accept a plea agreement up front.
School and Counseling Costs: If your judge orders you to enroll in a certain driver improvement school or alcohol and drug counseling program, you might have to pay for it.
Ignition Interlock Costs: Some states require offenders to pay for ignition interlock devices out of their own pockets.
Public transportation costs: Not lucky enough to get an ignition interlock device? Then you'll have to seek out a friend, take a bus, train, or a taxi to get from Point A to Point B, and those costs add up.
License Reinstatement Fees: Generally, a DUI conviction brings a suspended license (depending on the offense number, the state might revoke your license). You're the one who has to pay to get the license reinstated.
Car Insurance Increases: You can bet your insurance provider will increase your rates once it's time to renew and the company sees a DUI offense. Some states estimate first-time DUI offenses at thousands of dollars.
DUI Costs Go Beyond Fines and Fees.
Below are just a few of the Drunk Driving consequences that can seriously inconvenience (and even change) your life:
You might spend time in jail, leaving your family and occupation hanging. You could lose your job after a drunk driving conviction. A suspended license pretty much means you're not going anywhere unless it's by public transportation or a family member or friend has time to drive you. You now have a criminal record and, depending on the offense number, you could have a felony. Getting a job with a felony is a tough task. You have entered high-risk status, which means car insurance providers are either going to charge monumental rates or deny you coverage altogether. You could take another human being's life. No matter how much money you pay or how much time you spend in jail, that never changes.

The Dutch Caribbean are the six island territories of the Kingdom of the Netherlands that are located in the Caribbean – Aruba, Curaçao, Sint Maarten, Bonaire, Sint Eustatius and Saba – regardless of their legal status in Dutch law. The term may sometimes also be used interchangeably with the term Caribbean Netherlands to refer to just three of those islands which are special municipalities of the Netherlands proper.
All of the islands in the Dutch Caribbean were, at some point in their history, part of the constituent country of the Netherlands Antilles and its predecessor, the colony of Curaçao and its dependencies. By contrast, the former Dutch colony of Suriname was not considered to be part of Dutch Caribbean, although it was relatively close by on the continent of South America.

Entry from: Kralendijk, Netherlands Antilles
Entry Title: "Bonaire, Netherlands Antilles"
Entry:
"Bonaire - Bonaire is a fairly small (116 square miles), sparsely populated (15,000 people) island in the southern Caribbean. It's part of the "ABC Islands" - Aruba, Bonaire, and Curaçao. It sits 50 miles off the coast of Venezuela. The island is very dry (~18 inches of rain per year) and is covered with cacti and thorny plants. It also has no real sand beaches; the shoreline is covered with large chunks of coral. There's only one small casino, and while the pier can accommodate 2 cruise ships, the passengers tend to only go ashore in the main town for 1-2 hours at a time and maybe take a driving tour around the island. There's very little to do, not much shopping or entertainment, and they get few tourists. Have I made it sound unappealing? Good! We like it the way it is. We love the place. It's best known for diving and snorkeling. The conditions are awesome, and the coral reef is in very good condition. The surrounding waters have been a protected marine reserve since 1979. The variety of hard and soft corals, sponges, and gorgonians is fantastic, with a huge variety of colorful fish. We made this trip specifically for diving. We went to Bonaire 5 years ago and thoroughly enjoyed it. Bernd was not certified for SCUBA at the time, so I went on 2-3 dives, but mostly we snorkeled and explored the island. This time we stayed at a dive resort and went on at least one dive every day. Bernd bought an underwater camera, housing, and external flash just before the trip, so we had lots of fun taking underwater photos. See the separate entry for photos. Bonaire lies south of the hurricane belt, so the weather is pretty ideal and they experience few destructive storms. 99% of the time, the steady trade winds blow from east to west across the island. The east, windward coast is extremely rugged and constantly pounded by surf. The west coast is always calm, with no waves and little current - ideal for swimming, snorkeling, and diving. Unfortunately, last year Hurricane Omar, while it didn't hit the island, caused a huge storm surge for several days as big waves pounded the normally calm west coast. It damaged some buildings that sat close to shore (the water came up as high as the deck on the second floor of our hotel restaurant), and damaged some of the coral near shore. Bonaire is part of the Netherlands Antilles; they recently voted to strengthen their ties to the Netherlands and are basically regular Netherlands citizens (as I understand it - their status has changed recently). There are direct flights from Amsterdam. The official language is Dutch, many people speak Spanish, and almost everyone speaks English as well. The local language is a Creole language called Papiamento - a combination of Dutch, Spanish, Portuguese, English, French, and African languages from former slaves. The people are very laid-back and friendly. There is very little crime. The island's physical environment is pretty unfriendly to human habitation and development. It doesn't support much agriculture or industry. There used to be a couple of larger "plantations," growing aloe, divi divi trees (the seed pods were used to tan animal hides), and goats. There are no good fresh water sources on the island; they primarily use desalination to produce drinking water. The biggest export over the years has been salt. There are large, shallow saltpans that flood and then evaporate, leaving behind salt. Originally they used slaves to work the saltpans and load the salt onto ships. They still "mine" salt, and you can see huge mountains of it. They also have a large complex of oil tanks. Oil companies from Venezuela and Mexico store oil there, and then buyers load the oil directly from the storage tanks into their tankers. Apparently it's cheaper ..."
