The North Atlantic Treaty Organization or NATO (/ˈneɪtoʊ/NAY-toh; French: Organisation du traité de l'Atlantique Nord (OTAN)), also called the (North) Atlantic Alliance, is an intergovernmentalmilitary alliance based on the North Atlantic Treaty which was signed on 4 April 1949. The organization constitutes a system of collective defence whereby its member states agree to mutual defense in response to an attack by any external party. NATO's headquarters are in Brussels, Belgium, one of the 28 member states across North America and Europe, the newest of which, Albania and Croatia, joined in April 2009. An additional 22 countries participate in NATO's Partnership for Peace, with 15 other countries involved in institutionalized dialogue programs. The combined military spending of all NATO members constitutes over 70% of the world's defence spending.
For its first few years, NATO was not much more than a political association. However, the Korean War galvanized the member states, and an integrated military structure was built up under the direction of two U.S. supreme commanders. The course of the Cold War led to a rivalry with nations of the Warsaw Pact, which formed in 1955. The first NATO Secretary General, Lord Ismay, stated in 1949 that the organization's goal was "to keep the Russians out, the Americans in, and the Germans down." Doubts over the strength of the relationship between the European states and the United States ebbed and flowed, along with doubts over the credibility of the NATO defence against a prospective Soviet invasion—doubts that led to the development of the independent French nuclear deterrent and the withdrawal of the French from NATO's military structure in 1966.

Keevil airfield is a disused MoD airfield used for occasional air training. Hercules and Globemaster transports practice day dropping and night operations at Keevil. Apache attack helicopters often use the airfield for operations training too.
When this is not happening the Bannerdown Gliding Club, and RAF/public concern flies from Keevil.
The airfield was first taken over by UK troops and then held against hostile forces. Helicopters and C-130s took troops and vehicles to the Castlemarti tank range in Pembrokeshire, Wales, which represented the front-line battle field. Later in the week these assets were re-assigned to Sculthorpe airfield in Suffolk (as similar airfield to Keevil).
Keevil was meant to be a forward air base for helicopter operations with 6 Apaches guarding the airfield and heading to Castlemartin and into the Salisbury Plain to fight alongside NATO ground forces where tank and troop battles raged.
Airfield operations were under war conditions with rotors running refuelling, unloading of cargo planes with engines running at the end of the active runway and troops acting as enemy irregulars who were interdicted by the Apache helicopters.
The Chinooks were most interesting as they flew with underslung loads regularly (USLs) and I was fortunate to watch the lifting Warrior armoured vehicles, as seen in this video.
This movie was taken between Sunday 19th April through to Thursday 23rd of April 2015.

Russia is a country full of adventure, culture and vast distances. A continent, a multi-ethnic country and a vast land unites both Europe and Asia. Moscow is the capital of Russia and the largest city in Europe in which both Tsar rule and soviet communism gave the city its present appearance. The Kremlin is located on a forty metre high hill above the Moskva River and beyond its protective walls are numerous buildings, palaces, towers, squares and churches. The city’s history began with the construction of the Kremlin which lay at the very heart of the city and was for centuries Russia’s spiritual and

Travel video about destination Russia.
The city’s history began with the construction of the Kremlin which lay at the very heart of the city and was for centuries Russia’s spiritual and political centre. A fascinating cruise travels across numerous rivers, canals and lakes within the heart of the former Tsar’s realm, past monasteries and timber built churches. In Uglič the Dimitrijvskaija Church is crowned with blue, onion-shaped domes that are adorned with stars. The red colour of the church is a symbol of bloodshed and the incidents that once occurred at this place of death gave rise to a time of confusion. St. Petersburg, known also as the Venice Of The North, contains splendid buildings such as the Winter Palace and the Eremitage. Twenty four thousand tree stumps were used for the foundation of Isaaks Cathedral that can accommodate a congregation of fourteen thousand. In Port Baikal is the modern Circum-Baikal train that takes a full day to travel around Lake Baikal and is one of the most difficult sections of the Trans-Siberian Railroad that travels from Moscow to as far as Vladivostok. Russia is huge and its nature, culture, immense contrast and dramatic history have formed the fascinating and colourful Russian soul.

I would like to try this again at a longer distance, such as 150 or 200 yards.

The Netherlands (Dutch: Nederland, also commonly, but incorrectly, called Holland in English) is a European country, bordering Germany to the east, Belgium to the south, and France in the Caribbean as the Dutch territory Sint Maarten borders French territory Saint-Martin. The people, language, and culture of the Netherlands are referred to as "Dutch".
With over 16 million people on an area of just 41,543km², it's a densely populated country with its gorgeous capital Amsterdam being just one of many interesting cities. Once a great naval power, this small nation boasts a wealth of cultural heritage and is famous for its painters, windmills, clogs and notoriously flat lands. A modern European country today, it preserved its highly international character and is known for its liberal mentality. As a founding member of EU and NATO, and host to the International Court of Justice in The Hague, the Netherlands is at the heart of international cooperation. Its small size, welcoming attitude to travellers and many sights make it a unique and fairly easy to discover destination and a great addition to any European trip.
=====================
Belgium (Dutch: België, French: Belgique, German: Belgien) is a low-lying country on the North Sea coast in the Benelux. With the majority of West European capitals within 1,000km of the Belgian capital of Brussels, and as a member of the long-standing international Benelux community, Belgium sits at the crossroads of Western Europe. Its immediate neighbours are France to the southwest, Luxembourg to the southeast, Germany to the east and the Netherlands to the north.
Understand
Belgium is a densely populated country trying to balance the conflicting demands of urbanization, transport and industry with commercial and intensive agriculture. It imports large quantities of raw materials and exports a large volume of manufactured goods, mostly to other EU countries.

The Emerging Role of NATO in UN Peace Enforcement Operations
HE RAPID GROWTH OF PEACE ENFORCEMENT REQUIREMENTS
has obliged the United Nations to seek new avenues of cooperation

This restructured participation in international peacekeeping will likely

operations must now comply with the tenets of Presidential Decision Directive

when to participate, when to assign forces, and under what conditions, will
likely preclude U.S. participation in Somalia, style operations in which UN

U.S. Concerns with UN .. Led Peace Operations
Recent U.S. experience with the United Nations suggests that there are a
limited number of States with the experience required to lead peace
enforcement operations effectively. This creates difficulties in two ways. While
the UN must rely upon those states with experienced leadership and highly
trained forces for its more difficult operations to succeed, it must also provide
some opportunity for participation to each of its 188 member States. This
suggests that the UN must be encouraged to increase its capability to conduct
Chapter VI peacekeeping operationss where a cease, fire exists and
enforcement issues are minimal, and that Chapter VII enforcement
operations6 might be better left to regional organizations such as NATO under
Chapter VIII of the UN Charter.

Our guest this week is Swiss historian Dr. Daniele Ganser, author of the seminal book NATO's Secret Armies: Operation GLADIO and Terrorism in Western Europe, who joins us for a fascinating (though at times unsettling) conversation on the subject of Operation GLADIO.
Shortly after WWII a Europe-wide network of secret armies was organised under the aegis of NATO, tasked with providing military and intelligence resistance in the event of a feared Soviet invasion. Modelled on the resistance movements of the war years, many of these "stay behind" units remained faithful to their original mandate. But by the early 1960s - under the pressures of anti-communist politicking and flirtations with the Far Right - some of these groups began to morph into something more sinister, linking up with extreme right-wingers who carried out acts of false-flag terrorism, harassment of left-wing parties and coups d'état.
But was this morphing simply an unforseen consequence of the unaccountability and instability of the network itself? Or was it, at least in part, engineered by the very Anglo-American establishment which gave birth to the project in the first place? And to what extent, therefore, can such acts of terror be seen as manifestations of 'the strategy of tension', carried out by the State against its own citizens for the purposes of control at home and geopolitical gain abroad? (We also discuss: Operation Northwoods, the so-called War on Terror, 9/11 and the recent Charlie Hebdo attacks.)

French intelligence works hand in hand with NATO and other western intelligence agencies, and have been involved in the training of the radical Islamic offshoots of Al Qaeda in attempts to topple Assad, for example. The “Free Syrian Army” has notoriously been armed and funded by Atlanticist power elites since 2012, when the CFR called for more use of Al Qaeda and the FSA, to 2013, when we saw Senator John McCain and others meeting with rebranded Al Qaeda leaders. As we look back on events associated with French and Euro terror, the images converge.
In 1995, Rachid Ramda, a member of radical Islamic organizations predictably titled “Islamic Salvation Front” and the “Armed Islamic Goup”, bombed the French RER subway, killing eight. According to an interview with Liberacion.fr, Ramda described his past involvement with western NGOs and Doctors Without Borders – both classic intelligence covers, casting doubt on the official narrative of Ramda as the typical fundamentalist stage prop of so many mainstream media terror tales. This event recalls the NGO affiliations of the so-called ISIS video victims, as well as Tamerlan Tsarnaev.
In 2004, we saw a similar media fiasco with the agitprop style provocation from the caricatures of Mohammed in Dutch filmmaker Theo van Gogh’s “Submission: Part I,” which led to van Gogh’s retaliatory death. A violent standoff ensued, with a terror cell in The Hague. Then, from 2005-2010 we saw Danish papers create a soap opera scandal with numerous mockings of Mohammed in the Jyllands-Posten paper. We are also reminded of the dubious association of the “Mohammed” film the western establishment attempted to link to the Benghazi incident that curiously occurred on the anniversary of 9/11 in 2012.....
In summary, we find that Euro terror, and in particular, terror events involving in some tangential way connected to France bear all the same patterns and Atlanticist black op power bloc operations that have been at work since the Cold War and Gladio. As new details emerge, a clearer picture can be painted about the new siege, but I feel confident we can expect all the same villains and cast of characters that come to play in the vaudeville variety show that is the global war on terror. The strategy of tension plan of the neocon establishment has long argued for a “clash of civilizations” between the “Judeo-Christian” nations and Islamic civilization to destabilize and remake the Middle East on the long march to the British Fabian great game of global technocratic government.

The NATO intervention against former Yugoslavia was supposed to relieve the agonies and sufferings of the people in the region who were subject to seemingly unending wars. The outcomes of the intervention, however, came to confirm an established truth: West’s multiple standards in its foreign policies to achieve the goals of expanding its military and political hegemony across the globe. 20 years ago, for the first time, the silver bullet, as the inhabitants of Bosnia used to call the ammunition with depleted uranium, was used in the military conflicts at the Balkans. NATO generals were satisfied with the overall trial results. The depleted uranium became a part of everyday life at the Balkans in the years that followed. The story starts since long time ago long time ago when the Americans were preparing for a long period for the war against Slobodan Milosevic. Several years before the war, the Balkan headquarters of CIA was moved from Belgrade to the capital city of Bulgaria, Sofia. Everyone was relieved when the truce was signed in Kumanovo, Macedonia, for the cease of the military operations of NATO. The Serbian army began to withdraw from Kosovo. But the bombs and the consequences of the bombing remained. The depleted uranium started to take its blood tax. People began to die of cancer on a large scale.
15 years after the NATO bombing in Southern and Central Serbia, we are witnessing a real explosion and increase of cancer.

Following the Srebrenica and second Markale massacre, NATO intervened against the Bosnian Serb republic of "Republika Srpska" in late August 1995, with an extensive bombing campaign codenamed "Operation Deliberate Force". The

U.S. & GEORGIA WAR GAMES - Troops Conduct Joint Training Exercises for NATO Response Force
About 600 U.S. and Georgian troops are conducting joint exercises aimed at training the armed forces of the former Soviet republic for participation in the NATO Response Force.
Col. Michael Foster, commander of the U.S. 173rd Airborne Brigade, said the exercises are "an absolutely unique opportunity for us" and "the way we are going to be fighting in the future."
Georgia has aspirations of joining NATO and contributed troops to the NATO-led military operations in Iraq and Afghanistan.
In the field exercise held Sunday on the Vaziani base outside the Georgian capital, troops simulated a mission to drive the enemy from a populated center and an airport.
The exercises began May 11 with theoretical training and end on May 24. Sunday was the first day of field exercises. U.S. and Georgian troops simulate a combined attack on a building occupied by the ''enemy'' during joint military exercises in the South Caucasian republic.
Huge military exercises are underway off and around Britain’s coast, but NATO insists they are not a deliberate response to the Russian military’s increasingly brazen behavior.
The British-led war games are code named Joint Warrior and the numbers are all big: 13,000 personnel from 14 countries operating more than 50 ships and submarines as well as 70 aircraft.
NATO says the planning started long before Russia renewed its status as the alliance’s chief adversary.
For more than a year NATO has been condemning Russia’s actions in Ukraine as well as its frequent, large scale, snap military drills and those long-range Bear bombers repeatedly flying very close to NATO airspace.
So, if Joint Warrior is not a deliberate response, it’s certainly a timely one.
CNN was invited to spend a day aboard one of the vessels taking part — the U.S. Navy’s guided missile cruiser USS Vicksburg. It’s the current flag ship of a standing NATO maritime group.
Commanding officer Rear Adm. Brad Williamson says Russia’s behavior is an added motivation to do well in these exercises. The latest in a series of provocative military exercises conducted by Baltic nations, Lithuania began a new drill on Wednesday. Modeled directly on the West’s imagined “invasion” of Crimea, the exercise is meant as a show of Vilnius flexing its muscles at Moscow, the Lithuanian president said.

“We will not allow ourselves to be taken easily,” Lithuanian President Dalia Grybauskaite told Reuters. “We try to learn from the Ukrainian and Crimean situation…We’re not fearing anybody,” she added, referencing the often cited, though never proven, allegation that Crimea’s reunification with Russia was the result of a military takeover. Lightning Strike is the latest escalation by President Grybauskaite, who has steadily been leading the charge in Baltic Russophobia. Having previously called Russia a terrorist state, she has reestablished her country’s military draft, inciting fears about “Russian aggression.” The Lithuanian government has also reportedly begun teaching citizens what to do in the event of war. Media outlets in Iran are reporting that Iran plans to participate in a war game with Russia, China and Syria in the near future and preparations will be carried out in the next few days.
ShamLife said that China had gained permission to move twelve ships loaded with military equipment through the Suez Canal. The ships will reach the Syrian ports of Tartus and Latakia within two weeks, the website said. Russian amphibious landing ship, the Caesar Kunikov, departed the Black Sea port of Sevastopol on Tuesday for what a Black Sea Fleet officer explained was a routine exercise. British troops are also engaging in Estonia’s largest military exercise since its independence, which will involve over 7,000 reservists. British officials have stated that the war games are meant to reassure Baltic nations of its commitment to assist in the event of hostile “Russian aggression.”

BBC Death of Yugoslavia : NATO Intervention in Bosnia 1995
From the BBC documentary "Death of Yugoslavia"
The NATO intervention in Bosnia and Herzegovina comprised a series of actions undertaken by NATO to establish, and then preserve, peace during and after the Bosnian War. NATO's intervention began as largely political and symbolic, but gradually expanded to include large-scale air operations and the deployment of approximately 60,000 soldiers under Operation Joint Endeavor.
Following the Srebrenica and second Markale massacre, NATO intervened against the Bosnian Serb republic of "Republika Srpska" in late August 1995, with an extensive bombing campaign codenamed "Operation Deliberate Force". The operations objective was to make the Bosnian Serb forces withdraw from Sarajevo and return to peace negotiations. Operation Deliberate Force proved key to ending the war in Bosnia.
The Death of Yugoslavia is a BBC documentary series first broadcast in 1995, and is also the name of a book written by Allan Little and Laura Silber that accompanies the series. It covers the collapse of Yugoslavia and the subsequent wars that followed. It is notable in its combination of never-before-seen archive footage interspersed with interviews of most of the main players in the conflict, including Slobodan Milošević, Radovan Karadžić, Franjo Tuđman and Alija Izetbegović.
The series was awarded with a BAFTA award in 1996 for Best Factual Series.Because of the series large amount of interviews with prominent leaders and commanders of the conflict, it has been frequently used by ICTY in war crimes prosecutions.
All the papers relating to the documentary series, including full transcripts of the many valuable interviews conducted with participants, are lodged at the Liddell Hart Centre for Military Archives at King's College, University of London.
During the trial of Slobodan Milošević before the ICTY, Judge Bonomy called the nature of much of the commentary "tendentious".This was because there were instances in which an interview in the Serbian language was subtitled incorrectly and often in a misleading manner (for example, the subtitling translated an interviewee saying that "Milosevic always won the elections on a nationalistic platform and nothing else", rather than "... on a national platform... ")

NATO Exercise 'Joint Warrior' 2015 - Keevil Air Operations
This is a short movie of air operations at a disused MoD airfield in Wiltshire used as a forward air base for the battle scenario in Wales.
The exercise is a twice a year NATO ex called Joint Warrior. It included tank battles around the country and ship battles off Scotland. The Keevil air base was supporting the ground battlespace in Wales with various helicopters and fixed-wing transports.
This video was taken between Sunday 19th April through to Thursday 23rd of April 2015.

FUTURE TECHNOLOGY aircraft for Nato British Armed Forces
Future Stealth aircraft for nato. Her Majesty's Armed Forces, commonly known as the British Armed Forces, and occasionally the Armed Forces of the Crown, are the armed forces of the United Kingdom. The Armed Forces consists of three professional uniformed services: the Royal Navy and Royal Marine Corps, forming the Naval Service, the British Army and the Royal Air Force.[5][6]
The Commander-in-Chief of Her Majesty's Armed Forces is the British monarch, Queen Elizabeth II, to whom members of the forces swear allegiance.[1] Under British constitutional law, the armed forces are subordinate to the Crown. However under the 1689 Bill of Rights no standing army may be maintained during time of peace without the consent of Parliament; Parliament gives this consent every five years by passing an Armed Forces Act.[7] The armed forces are managed by the Defence Council of the Ministry of Defence, headed by the Secretary of State for Defence.
The British Armed Forces are charged with protecting the United Kingdom, its overseas territories and Crown Dependencies, as well as promoting Britain's wider security interests, and supporting international peacekeeping efforts.[8] They are active and regular participants in NATO and other coalition operations. Britain is also party to the Five Power Defence Arrangements. Recent operations have included wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, the 2000 intervention in Sierra Leone, peacekeeping responsibilities in the Balkans and Cyprus, and participation in the UN-mandated no-fly zone over Libya. Overseas garrisons and facilities are maintained at Ascension Island, Belize, Brunei, Canada, Diego Garcia, the Falkland Islands, Germany, Gibraltar, Kenya, Qatar and the Sovereign Base Areas (Cyprus).[9][10]
The United Kingdom tested its first nuclear weapon under Operation Hurricane in 1952, becoming the third nation in the world to achieve the status of a nuclear power. As of 2012, Britain remains one of five recognised nuclear powers, with a total of 225 nuclear warheads. Of those, no more than 160 are deployed and active. Its nuclear deterrence system is based on Trident missiles onboard nuclear-powered ballistic missile submarines.
Recent history[edit]
Four major reviews of the British Armed Forces have been conducted since the end of the Cold War. All three services experienced considerable reductions in manpower, equipment, and infrastructure during this period[28] while re-structuring to deliver a greater focus on expeditionary warfare.
The Conservative government produced the Options for Change review in the 1990s, seeking to benefit from a perceived post--Cold War "peace dividend".[29] Though the Soviet Union had disintegrated, a presence in Germany was retained in the reduced form of British Forces Germany. Experiences during the First Gulf War prompted renewed efforts to enhance joint operational cohesion and efficiency among the services by establishing a Permanent Joint Headquarters in 1996.[30][31]
An increasingly international role for the British Armed Forces was pursued since the Cold War's end.[32] This entailed the Armed Forces often constituting a major component in peacekeeping missions under the auspices of the United Nations or NATO, and other multinational operations. Consistent under-manning and the reduced size of the Armed Forces highlighted the problem of "overstretch" during the conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan.[33] This reportedly contributed to personnel retention difficulties and challenged the military's ability to sustain its overseas commitments.[33][34][35]
A Strategic Defence Review (SDR)—described as "foreign-policy-led"—was published in 1998.[36][37] Expeditionary warfare and tri-service integration were central to the review, which sought to improve efficiency and reduce expenditure by consolidating resources.[38][39] Most of the Armed Forces' helicopters were collected under a single command and a Joint Force Harrier was established in 2000, containing the Navy and RAF's fleet of Harrier Jump Jets. A Joint Rapid Reaction Force was formed in 1999, with significant tri-service resources at its disposal.[40]
The first major post-11 September restructuring was announced in the 2004 Delivering Security in a Changing World: Future Capabilities review, continuing a vision of "mobility" and "expeditionary warfare" articulated in the SDR.[41][42] Future equipment projects reflecting this direction featured in the review, including the procurement of two large aircraft carriers and a series of medium-sized vehicles for the Army. Reductions in manpower, equipment, and infrastructure were also announced. The decision to reduce the Army's regular infantry to 36 battalions (from 40) and amalgamate the remaining single-battalion regiments was controversial, especially in Scotland and among former soldiers.[43] Envisaging a rebalanced composition of more rapidly deployable light and medium forces,

NATO Secretary General and Prime Minister of Canada - Joint Press Statement, 23 MAR 2015
NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg and Prime Minister of Canada Stephen Harper during their bilateral meeting, 23 March 2015.
Right Honourable Stephen Harper (Prime Minister of Canada): Ready?
Welcome, Secretary General Stoltenberg, a friend of long standing, former Prime Minister of Norway, and more or less the new Secretary General of NATO. This is your first trip here in that capacity.
We have a lot to talk about. Obviously we'll talk about NATO's reassurance mission to Eastern Europe to deal with the aggression we're seeing from the Putin regime and also wider global challenges such as the mission of several NATO allies against the so-called Islamic State, ISIL.
So we have a lot to discuss. NATO is a very important relationship for this country and we're really honoured that you're able to join us, Secretary General.
Secretary General Stoltenberg (NATO): Thank you so much, Mr. Prime Minister Harper. And it's great for me to be back in Canada. This is my first visit to Canada as Secretary General of NATO. And Canada is such a strong and committed ally, and you provide substantial contributions to so many different NATO missions and operations. And I look forward to discuss with you both the challenges we see emanating from a more assertive Russia responsible for aggressive actions in Ukraine, but also the threats we see emanating from the... from ISIL in Iraq and Syria.
And again, Canada is really contributing a lot, both to the assurance measures, the increased military presence of the Alliance in the eastern part of Europe, and we appreciate that very much. You contribute with planes, with ships, and with troops on the ground, taking part in exercises.
But also the work you are doing in fighting ISIL and being a part of the coalition against ISIL. NATO is also doing a lot to fight terror and to try to work with partners in the region to stabilize them because if we are able to make the region of the Middle East more stable, we will become more secure.
So I look forward to discuss this and other issues with you and its great to see you again.

The NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization) is an international alliance that consists of 28 member states from North America and Europe. It was established at the signing of the North Atlantic Treaty on 4 April 1949. Article Five of the treaty states that if an armed attack occurs against one of the member states, it should be considered an attack against all members, and other members shall assist the attacked member, with armed forces if necessary.
Of the 28 member countries, two are located in North America (Canada and the United States) and 25 are European countries while Turkey is in Eurasia. All members have militaries, although Iceland does not have a typical army (it does, however, have a military coast guard and a small unit of soldiers for NATO operations). Three of NATO's members are nuclear weapons states: France, the United Kingdom, and the United States. NATO has 12 original founding member nation states and through April 2009 it has added 16 more member nations.

NATO Exercise 'Joint Warrior' 2015 - Keevil Air Operations
NATO Exercise 'Joint Warrior' 2015 - Keevil Air Operations
This is a short movie of air operations at a disused MoD airfield in Wiltshire used as a forward air base for the battle scenario in Wales.
The exercise is a twice a year NATO ex called Joint Warrior. It included tank battles around the country and ship battles off Scotland. The Keevil air base was supporting the ground battlespace in Wales with various helicopters and fixed-wing transports.

NATO operations have ended in Afghanistan. What and where should its next role be? - the network
Thirteen years after Western allies defeated the Taliban, NATO ended its operations in Afghanistan in December. But the Taliban are taking back territory.
NATO faces new crises, with questions if it should get involved against Islamic extremist rebels in Syria and Iraq.
With fighting near NATO member Turkey's border what should NATO and Europe do to stabilise and restore peace to nearby regions?
Would intervention be a solution to the waves of refugees on European shores?
Or like in Afghani…

Travel video about destination Russia.

=====================

Estonia: NATO troops drill as Victory Day is celebrated across the border
Thousands of service personnel from a variety of NATO and allied countries continued military drills near Johvi, in north-eastern Estonia, on Saturday, as Estonia holds its largest-ever military drills, named Siil-2015 (Hedgehog). The exercises were held at the same time as massive celebrations took place in neighbouring Russia to mark the 70th anniversary of the Soviet victory over Nazi Germany 70 years ago.

The Emerging Role of NATO in UN Peace Enforcement Operations
The Emerging Role of NATO in UN Peace Enforcement Operations
HE RAPID GROWTH OF PEACE ENFORCEMENT REQUIREMENTS
has obliged the United Nations to seek new avenues of cooperation
with groups of member States already organized for joint military action, such
as NA TO.I This fact, coupled with Congressional concern that American
forces serve under responsible leadership and that strict standards are adhered
to in determining whether U.S. forces should participate in any peace
enforcement operation, suggests that U.S. participation in such operations will
be significantly restructured in the future.
This restructured participation in international peacekeeping will likely
drive similar rethinking among our major allies and other regular contributors
to these operations. From the U.S. perspective, participation in these
operations must now comply with the tenets of Presidential Decision Directive
(PDD) 25.2 This directive, which requires clear accountability in deciding
when to participate, when to assign forces, and under what conditions, will
likely preclude U.S. participation in Somalia, style operations in which UN
leadership proved inadequate.3

Dr. Daniele Ganser : NATO's Secret Armies - GLADIO & The Strategy of Tension

AUDIO http://www.radio4all.net/index.php/program/79223

A military exercise or war game is the employment of military resources in training for military operations, either exploring the effects of warfare or testing strategies without actual combat. Exercises in the 20th century have often been identified by a unique codename in the same manner as military operations.
The S-125 Neva / Pechora (Nato designation SA-3 Goa), is a system of surface-to-air missile used for air defense designed by Aleksei Mikhailovich Isaev to complement S-25 and S-75 . It has a shorter effective range and altitude lower attack than their predecessors and also flies slower, but due to its two-stage design is more effective against more maneuverable targets. It is also able to hit targets flying lower than the previous and being more modern systems is much more resistant to electronic countermeasures that the S-75. The 5V24 (V-600) missiles reach around Mach 3 to 3.5 in flight, both stages are powered by rocket engines for solid fuel . The S-125, as the S-75 , used by radio command guidance. The naval version of this system has the NATO designation SA-N-1 Goa and the original designation M-1 Volna (Russian Волна - wave).
The Armed Forces of the Republic of Poland is the name of the military forces of Poland . The name has been used since the early nineteenth century , although it can also refer to earlier formations.

This video was taken between Sunday 19th April through to Thursday 23rd of April 2015.
