First of all, I MUST apologise for this video.....it is PURE self indulgance. As I have acquired my very first model loco ever in my life. It is a Duchess no. 46253 "City of St. Albans" As a result, none of the signals were set, the continuity is all over the place...and some of the scenes the colour balance hasn't been corrected. 46253 was running in for most of the day (4/5 hours), but hopefully next time I take the loco, she will be pulling a nice rake of coaches. This is mainly for my own pleasure, of my own model loco.....so apologise for the poor quality of this video.

St Albans /sɨnt ˈɔːlbənz/ is a city in southern Hertfordshire, England, around 22 miles (35 km) north of central London, which forms the main urban area of the City and District of St Albans.
It is a historic market town, and is now a sought-after dormitory town within the London commuter belt. Property prices are notoriously high within the district, which is one of the most expensive in the UK.
St Albans has two official demonyms: Verulamian and Old Albanian. St Albans was a settlement of pre-Roman origin named Verlamion (or Verulam) by the Ancient British, Catuvellauni tribe. It became the first major town on the old Roman road of Watling Street for travellers heading north and became the Roman city of Verulamium.
Saint Alban, the first British Christian martyr, was beheaded in AD 308 by Maximian on the orders of Emperor Diocletian, who denounced the Christian faith and had ordered the deaths of all subjects and allies of the Roman Empire who refused to give up the faith. Saint Alban consequently gave the town its modern name.
The City of St Albans /sɨnt ˈɔːlbənz/, also known as the City and District of St Albans or District of St Albans, is a local government district, in Hertfordshire, England. It was created in 1974 and since then has held the status of non-metropolitan district and city. The local authority is St Albans City Council. It has routes to the M1 motorway via the A414 road (formerly the M10 motorway), and rail routes to London St Pancras and Watford via St Albans City railway station and St Albans Abbey railway station respectively.
The district includes St Albans (population c. 58,000), Harpenden (population c. 27,600), the parishes of Colney Heath, Harpenden Rural, London Colney, Redbourn, St Michael's, St Stephen's (including the villages of Chiswell Green and Bricket Wood), Sandridge and Wheathampstead. Nearby places outside the district include Hatfield to the east, Welwyn Garden City to the northeast, Luton and Dunstable to the northwest, Hemel Hempstead to the west, Watford to the southwest and Borehamwood to the south.
Tonight you hit Saint Albans
With snot hanging out of your nose
But you don't find out til the hotel,
When you go to change your clothes
You know you're filthy
but you don't have time to shower
Cause you have to meet that Polish girl
You don't even have the sense to get her flowers
You turn up at the café
There's a bloke sat at her side
And you know that something's different 'cause
She looks like someone's died
Still you try to keep it friendly
And imagine you're together, in your head
But the bloke keeps chipping in about
Whatever she just said
No one wants to know you in this town
It's a place that doesn't need you around
Saint Albans wants you to drown
Tomorrow you'll be focused
And heading for the future
With a new-found sense of optimism that
Doesn't fucking suit you
But anything could happen
From one day and the next
And you're only in Saint Albans
Because you thought you were having sex
No one wants to fuck you in this town
It's a place that doesn't lead you around
