Lyrics to 10 Buddhist Cuisine Commandments:
Nick:
First you gotta eat like a vegetarian,
Varying, fruits, and vege-tables, no dairy and,
Meat, or eggs, we suggest, replacing beef with beans,
Cause beans are best
Marcus:
Rule number 2, , all you really gotta do,
Is follow, a daily eat-ing schedule
Your body gets a rhythm, adjusts adapts,
But yo SeeNick tell ‘em what about snacks?
Nick:
No snacking, do and we’ll send ya packing
Snacks what we lacking, laugh but we’re happy,
Don’t eat food, between your meals,
All you can do is drink tea, ya feel?
Marcus:
I gotcha, and while we’re at it no sneaking too,
Eating only with others is the thing to do,
Share your meals, don’t stash a snack
And don’t eat anything behind our backs
Nick:
Now rule number five, listen and I know it hurts
But, you can’t always eat desserts,
Save the sweets, for a special occasion,
Trust me, it’ll be worth the waitin’
Marcus:
This one might have ‘em look at ya wrong,
But only eat meals, been cooked at a home,
We don’t need a restaurant, make things fresh,
Control preparation and they seem best
Nick:
Now this is really simple, but you gotta have hella patience,
Always remember, eat after meditation,
Eat when you’re relaxed, listen to my song,
It’ll feel better if you eat when you’re calm
Marcus:
Just because you follow our rules, you ain’t spineless
So I gotta say, you should always eat in silence,
No chatter, radio or TV,
No distractions, and you’ll love how you eat
Nick:
If you wanna feel good, and not be reckless
You should try to always eat porridge for breakfast,
Mix it up with toppings, like cinnamon or nuts,
It’ll help you get to work instead of sittin on your butt
Marcus:
Now here’s the most important rule, ya feel?
Always help out when they cooking up a meal,
Help them cook, or help them clean,
And you can be a lean, mean Buddhist eating machine
