msnbc.com, a separate company, is the central news website for the NBC News family, featuring interactivity and multimedia plus original stories and video which augment the content from NBC News and partners.
MSNBC and msnbc.com were founded in 1996 as a partnership of Microsoft and General Electric's NBC unit, which is now NBCUniversal. Although Microsoft and NBC shared operations of MSNBC cable at its founding, it was announced on December 23, 2005, that NBCUniversal would purchase a majority stake in the television channel, which left Microsoft with 18%, later reduced to zero. The two companies remain partners in msnbc.com. MSNBC shares the NBC logo of a rainbow peacock with its sister channels NBC, CNBC, NBC Sports Network, and ShopNBC. MSNBC is available in over 78 million households in the United States.
Randal Howard "Rand" Paul (born January 7, 1963) is the juniorUnited States Senator for Kentucky. He is a member of the Republican Party. A member of the Tea Party movement, he describes himself as a "constitutional conservative" and a libertarian. He is the son of Republican Congressman and 2012 Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul of Texas and had never previously held political office. Paul first received national attention in 2008 when making political speeches on behalf of his father. In 2010, Paul ran as the Republican candidate for the United States Senate seat being vacated by retiring Senator Jim Bunning of Kentucky and defeated Kentucky Attorney GeneralJack Conway. As a supporter of the Tea Party movement, Paul has been vocal in advocating for term limits, a balanced budget amendment, and the Read the Bills Act, in addition to the widespread reduction of federal spending and taxation. He has gained prominence for his independent positions on many political issues, often clashing with both Republicans and Democrats.

You worked for John McCain, you were moved off that campaign, and he lost. A Short Bio on Rand Paul
Senator Rand Paul, M.D. is one of the nation’s leading advocates for liberty. Elected to the U.S. Senate in 2010, Dr. Paul has proven to be an outspoken champion for constitutional liberties and fiscal responsibility. As a fierce advocate against government overreach, Rand has fought tirelessly to return government to its limited, constitutional scope.
A devoted husband and father, Dr. Paul and his family live in Bowling Green, Kentucky, where Rand owned his own ophthalmology practice and performed eye surgery for 18 years. As a hard-working and dedicated physician--not a career politician--Rand Paul came to Washington to shake things up and to make a difference.
Dr. Paul has been married for 24 years to Kelley Ashby Paul of Russellville, Kentucky, and together, they have three sons: William, 21; Duncan, 18; and Robert, 15. He regularly volunteered to coach teams for each of his three sons in Little League baseball, soccer, and basketball. Rand and Kelley are both devout Christians and are active in their local church.
Rand is the third of five children born to Carol and Ron Paul. He grew up in Lake Jackson, Texas and attended Baylor University. He graduated from Duke Medical School in 1988. Dr. Paul completed a general surgery internship at Georgia Baptist Medical Center in Atlanta and completed his residency in ophthalmology at Duke University Medical Center. Upon completion of his training in 1993, Rand and Kelley moved to Bowling Green to start their family and begin his ophthalmology practice.
In 1995, Rand founded the Southern Kentucky Lions Eye Clinic, an organization that provides eye exams and surgery to needy families and individuals. Rand is a former president and 17 year member of Lions Clubs International, which is dedicated to preserving sight by providing eyeglasses and surgery to the less fortunate around the world. In recognition of his outstanding and sustained efforts to provide vision care to Kentuckians in need, Lions Clubs International has awarded Rand many of its highest commendations.
A large part of Rand's daily work as an ophthalmologist was dedicated to preserving the vision of our seniors. In 2002, The Twilight Wish Foundation recognized Rand for Outstanding Service and Commitment to Seniors.
During his free time, Dr. Paul performs pro-bono eye surgeries for patients across Kentucky. Additionally, he provides free eye surgery to children from around the world through his participation in the Children of the Americas Program. Most recently, he traveled to Guatemala on a medical mission trip with the University of Utah's Moran Eye Center. During the week over 200 patients, many of them blind with cataracts, had their vision restored by Dr. Paul.
Dr. Paul's entrance into politics is indicative of his life’s work as a surgeon: a desire to diagnose problems and provide practical solutions, whether it be in Bowling Green, Kentucky or Washington, D.C.
Randal Howard "Rand" Paul (born January 7, 1963) is an American physician and politician from Kentucky. In office since 2011, Paul currently serves in the United States Senate as a member of the Republican Party. He is also a trained ophthalmologist, and is the middle son of former U.S. Representative and physician Ron Paul of Texas.
Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Paul attended Baylor University and is a graduate of the Duke University School of Medicine. Paul began practicing ophthalmology in 1993 in Bowling Green, Kentucky, and established his own clinic in December 2007.
Paul has been considered a supporter of the Tea Party movement, and a vocal critic of the Federal Reserve System. He has opposed NSA mass surveillance of Americans and supports reduced government spending and taxation. He describes himself as "100% pro-life" and has cosponsored legislation for equal protection of the right to life from conception. Paul officially announced his candidacy for the 2016 U.S. presidential election on April 7, 2015.

Brave reporter destroys biased MSNBC panel on Obama's Foreign policy
During a segment of Thursday afternoon’s Now on MSNBC, Washington Post reporter Janell Ross intimated that likely GOP presidential candidate Jeb Bush is hiding a major family scandal, causing host Alex Wagner to scramble to distance the network from such unverified claims.
While discussing Bush’s controversial 1995 comments about single mothers, Ross said, “I was rather stunned, I guess, to hear that these things had been written in a book at a time when the governor probably had his own issues that he was struggling with in his personal life.”
She added: “It seems like a strange time in your life to suggest that public shaming is a good way to address problems.”
“Explain,” requested an intrigued Wagner. “You’re intimating something there.”
“I am and I’m trying to be as delicate as possible,” Ross replied, “but, in all honesty, the governor has some own issues in his own family that some might argue are worthy of some public discussion or shaming.”
Wagner immediately clarified for the audience that MSNBC is unaffiliated with any such reports. “To be fair, none of those have been corroborated,” she said. “We have no reporting on that; NBC News cannot report on that. You are a reporter for the Washington Post.”

MSNBC’s Michael Eric Dyson Connects Baltimore RIOTS To LEAD POISONING, WEALTH DISPARITY!!
While discussing the ongoing riots, MSNBC’s Michael Eric Dyson delivered a lengthy sermon Monday evening connecting the violent actions of some protesters to the Baltimore inner-city community’s long struggle with urban blight, lead poisoning, poor schooling, and wealth disparities.
Asked by MSNBC’s Chris Hayes to weigh in on looting and rioting following several days of largely peaceful protests in the name of 25-year-old Freddie Gray, a local resident killed while in police custody, Dyson said all violence is condemnable but added that some context is necessary to understand the current situation.
“The forces of oppression,” Dyson said, “have besieged that urban terrain.” The Baltimore Ravens and Orioles, he added, have contributed to the city’s problem “with their tax exempt status and their being given tremendous goodies to stay in the city” — “the urban blight contrasted to the extraordinary capital for some people.”
Quoting Martin Luther King, Jr.‘s statement that “a riot is the language of the unheard,” Dyson suggested it would be difficult to condemn this riot without also mentioning the broad context for why a local community would destroy itself. Without the current demonstrations, he said, “your cameras, our commentary would not be in Baltimore talking about the slow terror of expulsions from schools, the rising rates of lead poisoning, the export of jobs to places across the waters that have no ability to refuel and recycle that capital back here. So when you put all that together, it’s easy to point a gun of analysis and shoot them with the bullets of our condemnation instead of saying we have to together find a way out of this.”
Dyson later lamented that much of the media coverage will focus on “hooligans” and “thugs,” but will miss larger points he believes need to be heard now that Baltimore is in the spotlight. “What we don’t have commentary about is the theft of capital from these urban post-industrial conditions,” he said. “What we don’t see is the fact that many people live in New York, Pennsylvania, and come to Baltimore and extract revenue from that city and they don’t give back to the communities, and result of there, that’s a sense that these people are disposable.”
So, yes, the violence is unnecessary, Dyson concluded, but what isn’t being said is how if people were to ask the rioters how they could destroy their own buildings, and conceivably their own future prospects, “Many of them would say, ‘We don’t have a future.’”

Guy Lawson Attempts to Explain Pentagon Corruption to Baffled MSNBC Panel
Potential 2016 GOP candidate and former Hewlett-Packard CEO Carly Fiorina has been unrelenting in her attacks on Hillary Clinton, leading a Morning Joe duo of Mika Brzezinski and Steve Rattner to ask her Monday morning whether he own record would withstand such scrutiny.
“You have an amazing round of accomplishments in your life,” Brzezinski said, “but someone could say it like this you ran for Senate and lost. You worked for John McCain, you were moved off that campaign, and he lost. You had a tenure at Hewlett-Packard that a lot of people describe as extremely rocky, destroying jobs, and destroying the company’s reputation. Are you really the right person to be criticizing Hillary Clinton’s accomplishments or lack thereof?”
Fiorina accused Brzezinski of “reading Democratic talking points,” though Brzezinski responded that she was actually reading Fortune and New York Times. Rattner went so far as to remind Fiorina that she’d been fired from Hewlett-Packard after the company’s stock tanked following a merger.
Like a pro, Fiorina turned their criticisms into a soliloquy on le government grand, though she did concede that Clinton had “opened doors for women.”
“If we are going to have a real conversation about tapping the potential of men and women, then we also have to be able to talk beyond gender, and talk about track record and accomplishments and policies,” Fiorina concluded.

MSNBC Guest Suggests Jeb Bush Has Family Scandal; Alex Wagner Distances from Claim
