![Jay Z's Music Streaming Service Tidal Already A 'FLOP' - The Breakfast Club [Full]](http://web.archive.org./web/20150505024259im_/http://i.ytimg.com/vi/fY847FZ-8BA/0.jpg "It was less than a month ago that megastar Jay Z, his equally famous wife Beyonce and several of their musician friends announced the launch of a new music streaming service called Tidal. The service was a bit pricier than competitors like Spotify and Pandora (P) but was said to offer a better deal to artists and give users higher quality audio.
It seems though that music streamers are perfectly happy with the services they have. The buzz around Tidal pushed the app high in the iPhone download rankings when it was first announced. Now, three weeks later it doesn’t even rank in the top 700.
BGR notes that Kanye West, also associated with the service, removed the Tidal logo from his Twitter profile and scrubbed any Tidal related tweets from his feed (he then seemed to see the PR error of his ways and Tweeted about Tidal early this morning).

Tides (from low-German 'tiet' = 'time') are the rise and fall of sea levels caused by the combined effects of the gravitational forces exerted by the Moon and the Sun and the rotation of the Earth.
Most places in the ocean usually experience two high tides and two low tides each day (semi-diurnal tide), but some locations experience only one high and one low tide each day (diurnal tide). The times and amplitude of the tides at the coast are influenced by the alignment of the Sun and Moon, by the pattern of tides in the deep ocean and by the shape of the coastline and near-shore bathymetry (see Timing).
Tides vary on timescales ranging from hours to years due to numerous influences. To make accurate records, tide gauges at fixed stations measure the water level over time. Gauges ignore variations caused by waves with periods shorter than minutes. These data are compared to the reference (or datum) level usually called mean sea level.
While tides are usually the largest source of short-term sea-level fluctuations, sea levels are also subject to forces such as wind and barometric pressure changes, resulting in storm surges, especially in shallow seas and near coasts.

Adam Richard Wiles (born 17 January 1984), better known by his stage name Calvin Harris, is a Scottish DJ, singer, songwriter, and record producer. His gold-selling debut album, I Created Disco, was released in 2007 and contained the top ten singles "Acceptable in the 80s" and "The Girls". His second studio album, Ready for the Weekend (2009), reached number one in the UK Album Chart and includes the chart-topper "I'm Not Alone", the UK top five hit "Ready for the Weekend", and the singles "Flashback" and "You Used to Hold Me".
A remix album titled L.E.D. Festival was released in July 2010 as a free album in the August issue of Mixmag. Harris is currently working on his third studio album—due for release in 2012—which has produced the singles "Awooga", "Bounce", "Feel So Close", and "Let's Go". He has written and produced records for other recording artists including Kylie Minogue, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Dizzee Rascal, Rihanna (on the international chart topper "We Found Love"), and Kesha.

Kanye Omari West (
/ˈkɑːnjeɪ/; born June 8, 1977) is an American musician, film director and fashion designer. West first rose to fame as a producer for Roc-A-Fella Records, where he eventually achieved recognition for his work on Jay-Z's album The Blueprint, as well as hit singles for musical artists including Alicia Keys, Ludacris, and Janet Jackson. His style of production originally used pitched-up vocal samples from soul songs incorporated with his own drums and instruments. However, subsequent productions saw him broadening his musical palette and expressing influences encompassing '70s R&B, baroque pop, trip hop, arena rock, folk, alternative, electronica, synthpop, and classical music.
West released his debut album The College Dropout in 2004, his second album Late Registration in 2005, his third album Graduation in 2007, his fourth album 808s & Heartbreak in 2008, and his fifth album My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy in 2010. West released a collaborative album, Watch the Throne with Jay-Z in 2011, which is the duo's first collaborative album. His five solo albums, all of which have gone platinum, have received numerous awards and critical acclaim. As of 2012, West has won a total of eighteen Grammy Awards, making him one of the most awarded artists of all-time. All albums have been very commercially successful, with My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy becoming his fourth consecutive No. 1 album in the U.S. upon release. West has had 5 songs exceed 3 million in digital sales as of July 2011, with "Gold Digger" selling 3,086,000, "Stronger" selling 4,402,000, "Heartless" selling 3,742,000, "E.T." selling over 4,000,000 and "Love Lockdown" selling over 3,000,000 placing him third in overall digital sales of the past decade. He has sold over 30 million digital songs in the United States making him one of the best-selling digital artists of all-time.

Plot
Teacher, Linda Hayden has taken her all male class on an excursion in Los Angeles. Problems begin when the bus driver gets them lost and the hotel they were supposed to stay at loses their reservations. After driving around they come to an empty hotel. It also being Spring break the boys plan on having a great time. Linda, plans on keeping the boys at arm length. Kanye West's Tidal Tweets Disappear Right As the Company Begins To Tank

Jay Z's streaming service Tidal isn't doing so well. It already bricked on the Apple app store, and it appears that the service has lost the social support of one of its biggest supporters yet: Kanye West has deleted his tweets about the company. Ye, who appears in the multiple commercials for the service and stood on stage next to Jay during the weird press conference, has erased any mention of the company on his Twitter feed. Not only that, but he changed his profile picture back from the Tidal logo to the George Condo, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy picture.
It's worth noting that Kanye did just defend the service and more so the artists involved in his recent Paper Mag feature, where he said that he got upset when people linked them to the illuminati. "Not celebrities that gave their life to music and who are pinpointed as decoys for people who really run the world. I'm tired of people pinpointing musicians as the Illuminati. That's ridiculous," West said.
So, is Kanye just embarrassed about the backlash the site has received since launch or what? Who knows, but it seems like something is up.

It seems though that music streamers are perfectly happy with the services they have. The buzz around Tidal pushed the app high in the iPhone download rankings when it was first announced. Now, three weeks later it doesn’t even rank in the top 700.
BGR notes that Kanye West, also associated with the service, removed the Tidal logo from his Twitter profile and scrubbed any Tidal related tweets from his feed (he then seemed to see the PR error of his ways and Tweeted about Tidal early this morning).

Er, wait. Sorry. What actually happened is, Jay Z introduced a new artist-owned streaming music service to the world via a rather intense press conference (Alicia Keys quoted Nietzsche). This new venture, similar in format and presentation to Spotify, is called Tidal, and Jay purchased it from a Swedish tech company in January. Jay, along with his star-studded list of partners, wants to change the industry, take the power away from records labels, put money back in the pockets of musicians, and give listeners access to music in as hi-def a format as possible. That's one of Tidal's big selling points, sound quality. In fact, there are two levels available to subscribers: $9.99 a month, which gets you sound in standard definition, and then $19.99 a month, which gets you pristine lossless quality.
But who will be able to tell the difference between Tidal's pricey lossless quality and, say, plain old Spotify? To find out, we walked around New York and conducted a blind hearing test. First we played the participant a song on Spotify, then we played a song using Tidal. Could anyone tell the difference?

Jay Z's streaming service Tidal isn't doing so well. It already bricked on the Apple app store, and it appears that the service has lost the social support of one of its biggest supporters yet: Kanye West has deleted his tweets about the company. Ye, who appears in the multiple commercials for the service and stood on stage next to Jay during the weird press conference, has erased any mention of the company on his Twitter feed. Not only that, but he changed his profile picture back from the Tidal logo to the George Condo, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy picture. It's worth noting that Kanye did just defend the service and more so the artists involved in his recent Paper Mag feature, where he said that he got upset when people linked them to the illuminati. "Not celebrities that gave their life to music and who are pinpointed as decoys for people who really run the world. I'm tired of people pinpointing musicians as the Illuminati. That's ridiculous," West said. So, is Kanye just embarrassed about the backlash the site has received since launch or what? Who knows, but it seems like something is up. It was less than a month ago that megastar Jay Z, his equally famous wife Beyonce and several of their musician friends announced the launch of a new music streaming service called Tidal. The service was a bit pricier than competitors like Spotify and Pandora (P) but was said to offer a better deal to artists and give users higher quality audio. It seems though that music streamers are perfectly happy with the services they have. The buzz around Tidal pushed the app high in the iPhone download rankings when it was first announced. Now, three weeks later it doesn’t even rank in the top 700. Earlier this week, Jay Z admitted that the Illuminati is real by hosting a live signing of a new Declaration of Independence. Er, wait. Sorry. What actually happened is, Jay Z introduced a new artist-owned streaming music service to the world via a rather intense press conference (Alicia Keys quoted Nietzsche). This new venture, similar in format and presentation to Spotify, is called Tidal, and Jay purchased it from a Swedish tech company in January. Jay, along with his star-studded list of partners, wants to change the industry, take the power away from records labels, put money back in the pockets of musicians, and give listeners access to music in as hi-def a format as possible. That's one of Tidal's big selling points, sound quality. In fact, there are two levels available to subscribers: $9.99 a month, which gets you sound in standard definition, and then $19.99 a month, which gets you pristine lossless quality. But who will be able to tell the difference between Tidal's pricey lossless quality and, say, plain old Spotify? To find out, we walked around New York and conducted a blind hearing test. First we played the participant a song on Spotify, then we played a song using Tidal. Could anyone tell the difference?
