Besides being Rod's first album on Atlantic, Human is his first album not to feature an original Stewart track. Of note is track 3, "Don't Come Around Here", where Rod is joined by Helicopter Girl. The tracks were recorded at Metropolis Studios, London; Riverside Studios, Fort Lauderdale, Florida; Round One Studios, Los Angeles and Olympic Studios, London. It produced the singles "Run Back Into Your Arms", "I Can't Deny It", and "Don't Come Around Here". "I Can't Deny It" became a moderate hit and the album was certified gold by the British Phonographic Industry.

Canoe 2015-02-10Raúl Francisco Martínez-Malo Jr. (born August 7, 1965, Miami, Florida), known professionally as Raúl Malo, is an American singer, songwriter, guitarist and record producer. He was the lead singer of country music band The Mavericks and the co-writer of many of their singles, as well as Rick Trevino's 2003 single "In My Dreams". Since the disbanding of the Mavericks in the early 2000s, Malo has pursued a solo career. He has also participated from 2001 in the Los Super Seven supergroup.
Malo was born in Miami to middle-class Cuban parents. He is married to Betty and together they have three sons: Dino, Vincent and Max (who sang with him on Marshmallow World & Other Holiday Favorites).
It was announced by Malo, that The Mavericks, with original drummer, Paul Deacon and bass guitarist Robert Reynolds, will be reuniting in 2012 for tours and new album. Eddie Perez will be guitarist. He joined the group for the Live in Austin DVD.
John R. "Johnny" Cash (February 26, 1932 – September 12, 2003), was an American singer-songwriter, actor, and author, who has been called one of the most influential musicians of the 20th century. Although he is primarily remembered as a country music icon, his songs and sound spanned many other genres including rockabilly and rock and roll—especially early in his career—as well as blues, folk, and gospel. This crossover appeal led to Cash being inducted in the Country Music Hall of Fame, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and Gospel Music Hall of Fame.
Cash was known for his deep, distinctive bass-baritone voice; for the "boom-chicka-boom" sound of his Tennessee Three backing band; for his rebelliousness, coupled with an increasingly somber and humble demeanor; for providing free concerts inside prison walls; and for his dark performance clothing, which earned him the nickname "The Man in Black". He traditionally started his concerts by saying, "Hello, I'm Johnny Cash." and usually following it up with his standard "Folsom Prison Blues".
Hammer and a nail
Hammer and a nail
Saint behind the glass

Watches me sleep
Saint behind the glass
Watches me while I sleep
Coffee in the air
Coffee in the air

Mother don't cry
Mother don't cry
Saint behind the glass
Tells mother not to cry
Whenever the game is played you rain on my parade
Darlin' you, you always win
And still I apologize all that twinkle in your eyes
Baby you, you always win
When lovers on high go strollin' by what am I to do?
They start whisperin' nothin's make me think about somethin'
Makin' sweet love to you
I know before we begin and all the results are in
Baby you, you always win
When lovers on high go strollin' by what am I to do?
They start whisperin' nothin's make me think about somethin'
Makin' sweet love to you
I know before we begin and all the results are in
Baby you, you always win
Baby you, you always win, always win
You always win, always win
You always win, always win
When the world is ready to fall on your little shoulders
And when you're feeling lonely and small
You need somebody there to hold you
You can call out my name
When you're only lonely
Now don't you ever be ashamed
You're only lonely
When you need somebody around on the nights that try you
Remember I was there when you were a queen
And I'll be the last one there beside you
So you can call out my name
When you're only lonely
Now don't you ever be ashamed
You're only lonely
You're only lonely
You're only lonely
You're only lonely
When the world is ready to fall on your little shoulders
And when you're feeling lonely and small
You need somebody there to hold you
So don't you ever be ashamed
When you're only lonely
You can call out my name
When you're only lonely
You're only lonely
When you're only lonely
You're only lonely
It's no crime darling, we got lots of time
You're only lonely
You're only lonely
There's nothing wrong with you
Darling, I get lonely too
You're only lonely
You're only lonely
So if you need me, all you gotta do is call me
From backstreets to alleys, hills to valleys./ Whether
you're rich or you're poor we're all addicts./ You
can't escape from it by any means/ cus it gets under
your skin and when you sleep it's in your dreams/ See
we all grew up in the fast lane,/ the fast pace, the
last days, the rat race/ where neon lights tellin' us
to change our lives/ and if we do what they do
everything'll be alright./ Buy this! Do like us and
save time./ Work out and watch Dr. Phil at the same
time./ They keep tellin' us how to stay in line/ and
they know as long as the TV's on we'll stay blind./ Cus
it's a nonstop show straight in to your safe home/ with
no chance and no way for you to say no/ so go with the
flow, continue to consume/ cus the day when all we have
is gone will come soon./
Chorus:
It's too much! - And I can't hide from it./
It's too much! - Got my eyes stuck on it./
It's too much! - And I can't run from it./
It's everywhere, all the time.../ (X2)
...and it's like mindcontrol/
cus everybody is constantly under a microscope./
With signs flashin' n' blinkin in our face/
hundred times a minute, every single day./
And we all loved your promises of fortune and glory./
This is fabulous! The machine does the thinkin' for
me!/
Yeah, and it works in a similar way./
Don't have to be awake for more than five minutes a
day./
It's mass hypnosis, a dream of wealth./
By now the people can't even speak for themselves/
but here's your chance! Open your eyes at me./
Just to show you how dramatic the results can be./
Chorus
...in this race for cash/
the big biz chasin' new place and space for ads./
There's gotta be a way of changin' that./
Eat this! You need this! Who's sayin' that?/
Why is it you're only interested of profits?/
Big companies exploitin' the townships/
from South Africa to Lithuania./
From South America to eastern Asia./
They don't need no lies, they want the truth./
That means they don't need your signs, they want food./
While people starvin' you're promoting garbage./
Makin' slaves out of independent farmers./
Shit, the revolution has finally arrived!/
You can get it right here for 29.95./
So call now! Just give me your heart./
You recieve a special bonus, free of charge./
Well, well, hello again, tell me where you've been
It's been a while oh honey, my old friend
You've been there for me, faithful as you can be
You're the one I count on in the end
I wish it weren't so but that's how it seems to go
One night you're making memories then that's all you are
Well, hello again, tell me where you've been
It's been a while oh honey, my old friend
You've been there for me, faithful as you can be
You're the one I count on in the end
Well, hello again
I wish it weren't so but that's how it seems to go
One night your making memories then that's all you are
Well, hello again, here's to what might have been
We've got no secrets, no reasons to pretend
Talk about old times, laugh until we cry
We haven't done this since I don't know when
Well, hello again, tell me where you've been
Well, hello again, here's to you old friend
Well, hello again, la, la, la, la, la, la
Well, hello again, la, la, la, la, la, la
Well, hello again, la, la, la, la, la, la
Being here is being where I want to be.
I don't suppose you'll ever know how much you mean.
And for all the heartaches we've been through,
I know that I could not forget my time with you.
I'd much rather stay, but I'll be on my way and never again see you smile.
For all that it's worth, I'd move heaven and earth
to just reminisce for a while.
There was a time I had the will to carry on,
but I let go even though you're what I want.
"Could have beens" to keep you warm when I was gone,
I never knew that near to you's where I belong.
I'd much rather stay, but I'll be on my way and never again see you smile.
For all that it's worth, I'd move heaven and earth
to just reminisce for a while.
I'd much rather stay, but I'll be on my way and never again see you smile.
For all that it's worth, I'd move heaven and earth
to just reminisce for a while.
Verse One:
Do you fear this man's invention that they call atomic power?
Are we all in great confusion, do we know the time or hour
When a terrible explosion may ring down upon our land
Leaving horrible destruction blotting out the works of man
Chorus:
Are you ready for that great atomic power?
Will you rise and meet your Savior in the end?
Will you shout or will you cry when the fire rains from on high?
Are you ready for that great atomic power?
Verse Two:
There is one way to escape and be prepared to meet the Lord
Give your heart and soul to Jesus, He will be your shield and sword
He will surely stand beside and you'll never taste of death
For your soul will fly to safety and eternal peace and rest
(repeat chorus)
Verse Three:
There's an army who can conquer all the enemy's great bands
It's a regiment of Christians guided by the Savior's hand
When the mushroom of destruction falls and all it's fury great
God will surely save His children from this awful, awful fate
(repeat chorus)
Don't look so sad, I know it's over
But life goes on and this old world will keep on turning
Let's just be glad we had some time to spend together
There's no need to watch the bridges that we're burning
So lay your head upon my pillow
Hold your warm and tender body close to mine
Hear the whisper of the raindrops bio win' soft against the window
And make believe you love me one more time for the good times
I'll get along, you'll find another
And I'll be here if you should find you ever need me
Don't say a word about tomorrow or forever
There'll be time enough for sadness when you leave me
So lay your head upon my pillow
Hold your warm and tender body close to mine
Hear the whisper of the raindrops bio win' soft against the window
And make believe you love me one more time for the good times
Though you, though you say we're through
I'll always love you
And you can depend on me
Though someone, someone that you've met
Has made you forget
Honey, you know you can count on me
Well, I wish, I wish you success
And loads of happiness
But darlin', I have to confess
I will be lonely
If you ever, oh, if you ever need a friend
I'll be yours until the end
And you can depend on me
Well, I wish, I wish you success
And loads of, loads of happiness
But, darlin', I have to confess
I will be lonely
If you ever, oh, if you ever need a friend
I'll be yours until the end
And you can depend on me
Well you ask me if I'll forget my baby.
I guess I will, someday.
I don't like it but I guess things happen that way.
You ask me if I'll get along.
I guess I will, someway.
I don't like it but I guess things happen that way.
God gave me that girl to lean on,
then he put me on my own.
Heaven help me be a man
and have the strength to stand alone.
I don't like it but I guess things happen that way.
You ask me if I'll miss her kisses.
I guess I will, everyday.
I don't like it but I guess things happen that way.
You ask me if I'll find another.
I don't know. I can't say.
I don't like it but I guess things happen that way.
God gave me that girl to lean on,
then he put me on my own.
Heaven help me be a man
and have the strength to stand alone.
You and I were lovers once upon a time
Now we're both believers in leaving all behind
Did you ever hear the words I meant to say
Or did I wait one too many days
When it's all forgotten please remember me
We went all or nothing we just couldn't see
If nothing else makes sense until we realize
We just have to open up our eyes
It's all so beautiful especially when it rains
It's all so beautiful when nothing stays the same
And in an ever changing world some things never do
As time goes marching on
Take these chains from my heart and set me free
You've grown cold and no longer care for me
All my faith in you is gone but the heartaches linger on
Take these chains from my heart and set me free
And take these tears from my eyes and let me see
Just a spark of the love that used to be
If you love somebody new, let me find a new love too
Take these chains from my heart and set me free
Give my heart just a word of sympathy
Be as fair to my heart as you can be
Then if you no longer care for the love that's beating there
Take these chains from my heart and set me free
Take these chains from my heart and set me free
You've grown cold and no longer care for me
All my faith in you is gone but the heartaches, they linger on
Take these chains from my heart and set me free
Take these chains from my heart and set me free
I had a job, I had a girl
I had something going mister in this world
I got laid off down at the lumber yard
Our love went bad, times got hard
Now I work down at the carwash
Where all it ever does is rain
Dont you feel like youre a rider on a downbound train
She just said joe I gotta go
We had it once we aint got it any more
She packed her bags left me behind
She bought a ticket on the central line
Nights as I sleep, I hear that whistle whining
I feel her kiss in the misty rain
And I feel like Im a rider on a downbound train
Last night I heard your voice
You were crying, crying, you were so alone
You said your love had never died
You were waiting for me at home
Put on my jacket, I ran through the woods
I ran till I thought my chest would explode
There in the clearing, beyond the highway
In the moonlight, our wedding house shone
I rushed through the yard, I burst through the front
door
My head pounding hard, up the stairs I climbed
The room was dark, our bed was empty
Then I heard that long whistle whine
And I dropped to my knees, hung my head and cried
Now I swing a sledge hammer on a railroad gang
Knocking down them cross ties, working in the rain
Now dont it feel like youre a rider on a downbound
If I should live in the past would you think less of me
There's a chance those memories will last for an eternity
I just keep waiting, perhaps even hating to find you gone
How could something so right turn out so wrong?
I still remember the nights in the warm summer breeze
And the words of love we confessed that came out with ease
There was nary a lie, there were tears barely cried, maybe one or two
Now I spend all my time crying for you
This crying for you never ends if tomorrow it happens again
It's not that I'm helpless, I just can't help crying for you
It's sad that we've falling apart, tears pouring down in the dark
I know it's all over but I just keep crying for you
I just keep waiting perhaps even hating to find you gone
How could something so right turn out so wrong?
This crying for you never ends if tomorrow it happens again
It's not that I'm helpless, I just can't help crying for you
It's sad that we've falling apart, tears pouring down in the dark
I know it's all over but I just keep crying for you
Something tells me you don't even know
What I'm feeling somehow doesn't show
Maybe when you're lying next to me
Maybe you are just to close to see
Remember when we said our first hello
Was that just a dream or two ago
Am I hanging to our memory
Are you missing what was meant to be
R: If I could pull you closer I whisper in your ear
All the little nothings you would ever wanna hear
Time will tell me if I'm wrong or wright
I just wanna be with you to night
If I could pull you closer I whisper in your ear
All the little nothings you would ever wanna hear
Something tells me you don't even know
Something tells me you don't even know
Something tells me you don't even know
I won't forget that smile I saw on her every day
As I recollect my world stopped turning and then I prayed
God wanted me to know
He just took her home
One more angel is up in heaven now, heaven now
One more angel is up there looking down, up there looking down
Take all the time
To tell the ones you love how much you really care
So when they're gone
The first thoughts that come to mind
Aren't things should've shared
Don't let memories go in vain
Then they're just teardrops in the rain
One more angel is up in heaven now, heaven now
One more angel is up there looking down, up there looking down
Time passes by you never get it back
Even if, even if you tried
When yours finally comes have all that love is
On your side
When they remember you
Now and then there's a fool such as I
Pardon me, if I'm sentimental when we say goodbye
Don't be angry with me, should I cry?
When you're gone yet I dream a little dream as years go by
Now and then there's a fool such as I
Now and then there's a fool such as I am over you
You taught me how to love and now you say that we are through
I'm a fool, but I love you dear until the day I die
Now and then there's a fool such as I
Now and then there's a fool such as I
Now and then there's a fool such as I am over you
You taught me how to love and now you say that we are through
I'm a fool but I love you, dear, until the day I die
Now and then there's a fool such as I
Now and then there's a fool such as I
Welcome to my world
Won't you come on in
Miracles I guess
Still happen now and then
Step into my heart
Leave your cares behind
Welcome to my world
Built with you in mind
Knock and then door shall be opened
Seek and you will find
Ask and you'll be given
The key to this heart of mine
I'll be waiting there
With my arms unfurled
Waiting just for you
Welcome to my world
Knock and then door shall be opened
Seek and you will find
Ask and you'll be given
The key to this heart of mine
I'll be waiting there
With my arms unfurled
Waiting just for you
Welcome to my world
If you had not have fallen
Then I would not have found you
Angel flying too close to the ground
And I patched up your broken wing
And hung around a while
Tryin' to keep your spirits up
And your fever down
I knew someday that you would fly away
For love's the greatest healer to be found
So leave me if you need to, I will still remember
Angel flying too close to the ground
Fly on, fly on past the speed of sound
I'd rather see you up than see you down
So leave me if you need to, I will still remember
My angel flying too close to the ground
Leave me if you need to, I will still remember
Pardon me if I'm sentimental
When we say goodbye
Don't be angry with me should I cry
When you're gone, yet I dream
A little dream as years go by
Now and then there's a fool such as I
Now and then there's a fool
Such as I am over you
Babe, you taught me how to love
And now you say that we are through
I'm a fool but I'll love you, dear
Until the day I die
Now and then there's a fool such as I
Now and then there's a fool
Such as I am over you
You taught me how to love
And now and you say that we are through
I'm a fool but I love you, dear
Until the day I die
Now and then there's a fool such as I
And now and then there's a fool such as I
Cry tears in the dark, where no one can see you
Eyes, fairytale lies, they're all around you
I call out your name
and I, I wait in vain for you
I wanna be your sunrise
I wanna be your blue eyes
I wanna be the white lies that you can tell another
I wanna be your story
I wanna be your glory
The secret that you're keeping that you can tell no other
Be fair, be wise
Leave all your heartaches behind
Someplace, sometime if stardust should fall, you'll be mine
Sigh, fairytale lies, they're all around you
I call out your name
and I, I wait in vain for you
I wanna be your sunrise
I wanna be your blue eyes
I wanna be the white lies that you can tell another
I wanna be your story
I wanna be your glory
The secret that you're keeping that you can tell no other
Be fair, be wise
Leave all your heartaches behind
Someplace, sometime if stardust should fall, you'll be mine
Be fair, be wise
Leave all your heartaches behind
Someplace, sometime if stardust should fall, you'll be mine
I wanna be your sunrise
I wanna be your blue eyes
I wanna be the white lies that you can tell another
I wanna be your story
I wanna be your glory
The secret that you're keeping that you can tell no other
I wanna be your sunrise
I wanna be your blue eyes
I wanna be the white lies that you can tell another
I wanna be your story
I wanna be your glory
I can't sleep a wink anymore
Ever since you first walked out the door
Then I just started drinking to forget
But I don't think the worst has happened yet
All you ever do is bring me down
Making me a fool all over town
And they all wonder why I wear a frown
That's 'cause honey all you do is bring me down
Bring me down, rock all
It's funny how my whole world fell apart
I think I saw it coming from the start
I tried to tell myself that you'd be true
But I expected way too much of you
You did
All you ever do is bring me down
Making me a fool all over town
And they all wonder why I wear a frown
That's 'cause honey all you do is bring me down
Oh, take it man
All you ever do is bring me down
Making me a fool all over town
And they all wonder why I wear a frown
That's 'cause honey all you do is bring me down
That's 'cause my honey all you do is bring me down
Honey all you ever do is bring me down
Two, three, four
Come on Steve
(Bob Wills - Lee Ross)
George Jones & Gene Pitney
I may say that I don't care and hold up head up in the air
Even tell my friends I'm glad that you don't call
But when the day is through and my heartaches start anew
Well, that's when I miss you most of all.
And my arms keep reaching for you
My eyes keep searching for you
My lips keep calling for you
And my shoes keep walking back to you.
--- Instrumental ---
No matter how much I pretend I wish I had you back again
For nothing else means half as much as you
My world just seemed to die the day you said goodbye
And I can't forget no matter what I do.
And my arms keep reaching for you
My eyes keep searching for you
My lips keep calling for you
And my shoes keep walking back to you.
Twenty days, twenty lonely nights gone by
A million reasons left to cry
Things go wrong, only memories remain
Now you're gone and things have changed
People always wanna know why it is I miss you so
The truth is I don't even know
Every little thing about you
Makes it hard to live without you
I don't wanna think about you, and I try
Can't deny the way I feel about you
I know I'll be alright without you
In time I will forget about you
But I'm still missing every little thing about you
Better days lie ahead 'cause life goes on
Time will heal and make me strong
People still they wanna know why it is I miss you so
The truth is I may never know
Every little thing about you
Makes it hard to live without you
I don't wanna think about you, and I try
Can't deny the way I feel about you
I know I'll be alright without you
In time I will forget about you
But I'm still missing every little thing about you
Every little thing about you
Makes it hard to live without you
I don't wanna think about you, and I try
Can't deny the way I feel about you
I know I'll be alright without you
In time I will forget about you
There are games that many,
Foolish lovers play.
Blindly chasing happy endings,
Come what may.
Never caring,
Who gets hurt,
Along the way.
Let's not play those games,
That lovers play.
Sometimes lovers,
Hurt each other,
Telling lies.
Acting out charades,
Behind their,
Smiling eyes.
If you love me, darling,
You must realize,
We can't play those games,
Log on to Top40db.
That lovers play.
When I whisper,
I'll be yours eternally.
In my heart I feel,
Our love is meant to be.
It's not just to have you share,
One dream with me.
I'm not playing games
That lovers play.
Sometimes lovers hurt each other,
Telling lies.
Acting out charades,
Behind their smiling eyes.
If you love me,
Darling, you must realize,
We can't play those games,
That lovers play.
Let's not play those games,
Where was I when you forgot about me?
Was I with you right there in the room?
Did it happen overnight or a little at a time?
Was it something I did or didn?t do?
And now you?re staring back at me
Still you never see
That I see you never see me
Never hear and never believe
And every night I see you losing me
Why does love get so complicated?
Why do feelings always have to change?
Can?t they last forever, do they fade away with time
Or does it always have to end this way?
Tell me why, if love is really blind
When I close my eyes
Do I see you never see me
Never hear and never believe
And every night I see you losing me
Yeah, I see you never see me
Never hear and never believe
And every night I see you losing me
I see you you, I see you, babe
Never hear and never believe it
Every night I see you losing me
That?s what you do to me
I see you, I see you, I see you, I see you
Never here and never, never, never
Every night I see you losing me
That?s what you do to me
I see you
Never hear and
Every night I see you losing me
Never, never, never, never, never
I see you, I see you
Never hear and
The only time I feel the pain
Is in the sunshine or the rain
And I don't feel no hurt at all
Unless you count when teardrops fall
I tell the truth 'cept when I lie
It only hurts me when I cry
You couldn't tell it by this smile
But my recovery took a while
I worked for days and nights on end
Just to walk and talk again
You can't believe the time it takes
Yeah, to heal a heart once it breaks
The only time I feel the pain
Is in the sunshine or the rain
And I don't feel no hurt at all
Unless you count when teardrops fall
I tell the truth 'cept when I lie
It only hurts me when I cry
Oh, maybe every now and then
I have a small heartache again
You wouldn't know to look at me
Those tiny scars that you can't see
It was a struggle to survive
Yeah, I'm probably lucky I'm alive
The only time I feel the pain
Is in the sunshine or the rain
And I don't feel no hurt at all
Unless you count when teardrops fall
I tell the truth 'cept when I lie
It only hurts me when I cry
I tell the truth 'cept when I lie
The only time I feel the pain

At last
My love has come along
My lonely days are over
And life is like a song
Oh yeah yeah, at last
The skies above are blue
My heart was wrapped up in clover
The night I looked at you
I found a dream that I could speak to
A dream that I can call my own
I found a thrill to press my cheek to
A thrill that I have never known, oh yeah yeah
You smiled, you smiled
And then the spell was cast
And here we are in heaven
For you are mine at last
I found a dream that I could speak to
A dream that I can call my own
I found a thrill to press my cheek to
A thrill that I have never known, oh yeah
You smiled you smiled
And then the spell was cast
And here we are in heaven

Two, three, four
Come on Steve
Bring me down, rock all
We used to have good times together dear
But now, I feel them slip away
It makes me cry to see love die
So sad to watch good love go bad
Remember, how you used to feel dear
You said nothing could change your mind
It breaks my heart to see us part
So sad to watch good love go bad
Is it any wonder that I'm feeling so blue
When I know for certain that I'm losing you?
It breaks my heart to see us part
So sad to watch good love go bad
Secret heart, what are you made of?
What are you so afraid of?
Could it be three simple words
Or the fear of bein' overheard?
What's wrong?
Little man on your secret heart
Secret heart why so mysterious?
Why so sacred, why so serious?
Maybe you're just actin' tough
Maybe you're just not man enough
What's wrong?
Little man on your secret heart
This very secret
That you're tryin' to conceal
Is the very same one
That you're dyin' to reveal
Go tell her how you feel
Secret heart come out and share it
This loneliness, few can bear it
Could it have somethin' to do with
Admitting that you just can't go through it alone
Little man on your secret heart
This very secret
That you're tryin' to conceal
Is the very same one
That you're dyin' to reveal
Go tell her how you feel
This very secret
Go out and share it
If ever you've got rain in your heart
Someone has hurt you, and torn you apart
Am I unwise to open up your eyes to love me?
And let it be like they said it would be
Me loving you girl, and you loving me
Am I unwise to open up your eyes to love me?
Run to me whenever you're lonely
(To love me)
Run to me if you need a shoulder
Now and then, you need someone older
So darling, you run to me
And when you're out in the cold
No one beside you, and no one to hold
Am I unwise to open up your eyes to love me?
And when you've got nothing to lose
Nothing to pay for and nothing to choose
Am I unwise to open up your eyes to love me
Run to me whenever you're lonely
(To love me)
Run to me if you need a shoulder
Now and then, you need someone older
So darling, you run to me
Run to me whenever you're lonely
Run to me if you need a shoulder
Now and then, you need someone older
So darling, you run to me
Run to me whenever you're lonely
Run to me if you need a shoulder
Now and then, you need someone older
It seems like the other day
That my baby went away
Went away across the sea
It seems like a year ago
Since I saw my baby go
And then this letter came for me
It said that we were through
You found somebody new
Lemme think, lemme think, what can I do?
Oh no, oh no, oh no, no, no, no, no
Remember, walkin? in the sand
Remember, walkin? hand in hand
Remember, the night was so exciting
Remember, your smile was so inviting
Remember, then you touched my cheek
Remember, with your fingertips
Remember, softly, softly
We'd meet with our lips, yeah
Whatever happened to
The love that we once knew
The love we swore would be true?
Whatever happened to
The life I gave to you?
Ooh, what can I do with it now?
Oh, I can make it on my own
And if you phone, I won?t be home
It?s not so hard to live alone
Still my house is not a home
Oh no, oh no, oh no, no, no, no, no
Remember, walkin? in the sand
Remember, walkin? hand in hand
Remember, the night was so exciting
Remember, your smile was so inviting
Remember, then you touched my lips
Remember, with your fingertips
Remember, softly, softly
Remember, softly, softly
Remember, remember, remember
Remember, remember, remember
There's a love about you, baby
That brings a grown man to his knees
A love that tastes as sweet as honey
Let me have some, won't you please?
Say the word and I'll come runnin'
On the straight and true
Are you ready for my lovin'
Like I'm ready for you?
If by chance we stay together
You and I can have it all
But I'm afraid you'll find another
Before we've had a chance to fall
You've already got me dreamin'
Of all that we would do
Are you ready for my lovin'
Like I'm ready for you?
I wanna know if you're ready for love this strong
Someone who knows you
On cold nights will hold you
And never ever leave you all alone
You're my million dollar baby
You're the smile that lights the room
You're the fire that burns inside me
Oh, you're the one that hung the moon
You say the word and I'll come runnin'
On the straight and true
Are you ready for my lovin'
Like I'm ready for you? Like I'm ready for you
Inside the pocket of a clown
Is a sad place to hang around
Just watching smiles turn into frowns
Inside the pocket of a clown
Inside the heartache of a fool
You'll learn things they don't teach in school
And lessons there can be real cruel
Inside the heartache of a fool
Hollow lies, they make a thin disguise
As little drops of truth fall from your eyes
Hollow lies, they make a thin disguise
As little drops of truth fall from your eyes
Inside a memory from the past
Lives every love that didn't last
And sweet dreams can start to fade real fast
Inside a memory from the past
It's a real sad place to hang around
Inside the pocket of a clown
Inside the pocket of a clown
Inside the pocket of a clown
Inside the pocket of a clown
Is a sad place to hang around
Just watching smiles turn into frowns
Inside the pocket of a clown
Inside the heartache of a fool
You'll learn things they don't teach in school
And lessons there can be real cruel
Inside the heartache of a fool

Inside the pocket of a clown
Inside the pocket of a clown
All in the love is fair, the same way everywhere
It simply has no rules
I never took the time or paid it any mind
It didn't matter who win or lose
Ever since I met you things have changed
Cloudy skies have brighter days
Even fate has turned my way
I know that I would be a fool not to bet it all on you
And let the chips fall where they may
And now I'm the lucky one, I'll always be the lucky one
As long as you are close to me
Like a gambling man who always holds a winning hand
Losing's just a thought I can't conceive
The worlds a better place, one look at you is all it takes
And I surrender willingly
And now I'm the lucky one, I'll always be the lucky one
Since I have you close to me
Lovers take their vows, many times I've wondered how
Say those words so easily
Did that happiness hide their loneliness
With the things I couldn't see
I may never understand what would make a man
Think he found the one he needs
But I don't question why, I just believe
That I found a love that's meant to be
Now I'm the lucky one, I'll always be the lucky one
As long as you are close to me
Like a gambling man who always holds a winning hand
Losing's just a thought I can't conceive
The world's a better place, one look at you is all it takes
And I surrender willingly
And now I'm the lucky one, I'll always be the lucky one
Since I have you close to me
Now I'm the lucky one, I know that I'm the lucky one
(And now I'm the lucky one, I'll always be the lucky one)
I know, I know, I know, I know, I know, I know, I know
(As long as you are close to me)
Like a gambling man who always holds a winning hand
Losing's just a thought I can't conceive
I'm the lucky one
(The world's a better place, one look at you is all it takes)
And I surrender willingly
(And I surrender willingly)
(And now I'm the lucky one, I'll always be the lucky one)
(Since I have you close to me)
I'm the lucky one
(And now I'm the lucky one, I'll always be the lucky one)
(As long as you are close to me)
Inside the pocket of a clown
Is a sad place to hang around
Just watching smiles turn into frowns
Inside the pocket of a clown
Inside the heartache of a fool
You'll learn things they don't teach in school
And lessons there can be real cruel
Inside the heartache of a fool
Hollow lies, they make a thin disguise
As little drops of truth fall from your eyes
Hollow lies, they make a thin disguise
As little drops of truth fall from your eyes
Inside a memory from the past
Lives every love that didn't last
And sweet dreams can start to fade real fast
Inside a memory from the past
It's a real sad place to hang around
Inside the pocket of a clown
Inside the pocket of a clown
Inside the pocket of a clown
Inside the pocket of a clown
I feel so bad, I got a worried mind
I'm so lonesome all the time
Since I left my baby behind on Blue Bayou
Saving nickels, saving dimes
Working till the sun don't shine
Looking forward to happier times on Blue Bayou
I'm going back someday come what may to Blue Bayou
Where you sleep all day and the catfish play on Blue
Bayou
All those fishing boats with their sails afloat if I
could only see
That familiar sunrise through sleepy eyes how happy I'd
Gonna see my baby again
And to be with some of my friends
Maybe I'd be happier then on Blue Bayou
Saving nickels, saving dimes
Working till the sun don't shine
Looking forward to happier times on Blue Bayou
I'm going back someday gonna stay on Blue Bayou
Where the folks are fine, and the world is mine
On Blue Bayou
And that girl of mine by my side
The silver moon and the evening tide
Some sweet day gonna take away this hurting inside
Where was I when you forgot about me?
Was I with you right there in the room?
Did it happen overnight or a little at a time?
Was it something I did or didn?t do?
And now you?re staring back at me
Still you never see
That I see you never see me
Never hear and never believe
And every night I see you losing me
Why does love get so complicated?
Why do feelings always have to change?
Can?t they last forever, do they fade away with time
Or does it always have to end this way?
Tell me why, if love is really blind
When I close my eyes
Do I see you never see me
Never hear and never believe
And every night I see you losing me
Yeah, I see you never see me
Never hear and never believe
And every night I see you losing me
I see you you, I see you, babe
Never hear and never believe it
Every night I see you losing me
That?s what you do to me
I see you, I see you, I see you, I see you
Never here and never, never, never
Every night I see you losing me
That?s what you do to me
I see you
Never hear and
Every night I see you losing me
Never, never, never, never, never
I see you, I see you
Never hear and
Every night I see you losing me
right from the start, i knew i wanted you;
you pulled me in, into your web, it's true.
i never want out, as long as you're with me, too,
i'd wait around as long as i knew
are we almost there?
are we getting close?
are we getting near?
it's not far to go--
i need to know,
are we almost there?
are we almost there?
maybe tonight, when you're alone with me,
you'll realize some things are meant to be.
just close your eyes, then put your hand in mine,
maybe we'll find our way this time--
are we almost there?
are we getting close?
are we getting near?
there's not far to go--
i need to know,
are we almost there?
are we almost there?
You may be sweet and nice
But that won't keep you warm at night
'Cause I'm the one who showed you how
To do the things you're doing now
He may feel all your charms
He may hold you in his arms
But I'm the one who let you in
I was right beside you in the end
Once upon a time,
You let me feel you deep inside
But nobody knew, nobody saw
Do you remember the way you cried
I'm your toy, I'm your old boy
But I don't want no one but you to love me
No, I wouldn't lie
You know I'm not that kind of guy
Once upon a time
You let me feel you deep inside
But nobody knew, nobody saw
Do you remember the way you cried
I'm your toy, I'm your old boy
But I don't want no one but you to love me
No, I wouldn't lie.
I don't understand what people fuss about
Seems like they're all angry all the time
Mindin' everybody's business like it was their own
I can barely find the time for mine
I believe in love and leavin' well enough alone
You won't catch me castin' that first stone
You may not share my point of view
Or see the world the way I do
I hope that doesn't matter much to you
I don't have to be self righteous even if I'm right
Please excuse me if you think that's wrong
I've been told that I'm a sinner nearly all my life
But so is everyone I've ever known
I believe in leavin' judgment for somebody else
Someone more deserving than myself
You may not share my point of view
Or see the world the way I do
I hope that doesn't matter much to you
I think love is filled
With endless possibilities
Fools can only see
What fools can see
You may not share my point of view
Or see the world the way I do
I hope that doesn't matter much to you
You may not share my point of view
Or see the world the way I do
I hope that doesn't matter much to you
I hope that doesn't matter much to you
Here comes my happiness again
Right back to where it should have been
'Cause now she's gone and I am free
And she can't do a thing to me
I just wanna dance the night away
With senoritas who can sway
Right now tomorrow's lookin' bright
Just like the sunny mornin' light
And if you should see her
Please let her know that I'm well
As you can tell
And if she should tell you
That she wants me back
Tell her no
I gotta go
I just wanna dance the night away
With senoritas who can sway
Right now tomorrow's lookin' bright
Just like the sunny mornin' light
And if you should see her
Please let her know that I'm well
As you can tell
And if she should tell you
That she wants me back
Tell her no
I gotta go
I just wanna dance the night away
With senoritas who can sway
Right now tomorrow's lookin' bright
Just like the sunny mornin' light
I just wanna dance the night away
With senoritas who can sway
Right now tomorrow's lookin' bright
Well, I tried so hard, my dear, to show that you're my every dream
Yet you're afraid each thing I do is just some evil game
A little memory from your lonesome past keeps us so far apart
Why can't I free your doubtful mind and melt your cold, cold heart?
Well, another love before my time made your heart sad and blue
And so my heart is paying now for things I didn't do
Well, in anger unkind words are said that make the teardrops start
Why can't I free your doubtful mind and melt your cold, cold heart?
You'll never know how much it hurts to see you sit and cry
You know you need and want my love yet you're afraid to try
Why do you run and hide from lies? To try it just ain't smart
Why can't I free your doubtful mind and melt your cold, cold heart?
Well, there was a time when I believed that you belonged to me
But now I know your heart is shackled to a memory
The more I learn to care for you, the more we drift apart
Why can't I free your doubtful mind and melt your cold, cold heart?
Why can't I free your doubtful mind and melt your cold, cold heart?
Oh, it's crying time again, you're gonna leave me
I can see that far away look in your eyes
I can tell by the way you hold me, darling
That it won't be long before it's crying time
Well, they say that absence makes the heart grow fonder
And that tears are only rain to make love grow
Well, my love for you could never grow no stronger
If I lived to be a hundred years old
Oh, it's crying time again, you're gonna leave me
I can see that far away look in your eyes
I can tell by the way you hold me, darling
That it won't be long before it's crying time
Now you say you've found someone that you love better
That's the way it's happened every time before
And as sure as the sun comes up tomorrow
Crying time will start when you walk out that door
Oh, it's crying time again, you're gonna leave me
I can see that far away look in your eyes
I can tell by the way you hold me, darling
That it won't be long before it's crying time
I can tell by the way you hold me, darling
Oh, it's crying time again, you're gonna leave me

That it won't be long before it's crying time
I can tell by the way you hold me, darling
Something in your eyes makes me wanna lose myself
Makes me wanna lose myself in your heart
There's something in your voice makes my heart beat fast
Hope this feeling will last the rest of my life
If you knew how lonely my life has been
And how low I've felt for so long
If you knew how I wanted someone to some along
And change my world the way you've done
It feels like home to me feels like home to me
Feels like I'm on my way back where I come from
Feels like home to me feels like home to me
Feels like I'm on my way back where I'm from
With your embrace down a long dark street
And a sigh of wind in the night
But I'm alright 'cause I have you here with me
And I can almost see the dark feels light
If you knew how much this moment means to me
And how long I've waited for your touch
If you knew how I wanted someone to come along
I never thought I'd love anyone so much
Feels like home to me, feels like home to me
Feels like I'm on my way to where I come from
Feels like home to me, feels like home to me
Feels like I'm on my way back to where I belong
Two broken hearts lonely looking like houses
Where nobody lives
Two people each having so much pride inside
Neither side forgives
The angry words spoken in haste
Such a waste of two lives
It's my belief pride's the chief cause in the decline
In the number of husbands and wives
A woman and a man
A man and a woman
Some can, some can't and some can't
Two broken hearts lonely looking like houses
Where nobody lives
Two people each having so much pride inside
Neither side forgives
The angry words spoken in haste
Is such a waste of two lives
It's my belief pride's the chief cause in the decline
In the number of husbands and wives
It's my belief pride's the chief cause in the decline
In the number of husbands and wives

We've been meeting this way for a wile
Always keeping our hearts in denial
But the rules of the game are as such
There are some things you never should rush
With the way that you're looking tonight
It was only a matter of time
Before I got so overwhelmed
And I just could not help myself
I said I love you I didn't mean to
But the moonlight just gave me away
Now that I said it, try to forget it
And pretend it was all a mistake
I'll keep trying, though I'm denying
This feeling that I know is true
Stumbling and falling and still after all
I keep falling in love with you
What's the point of this masquerade
After all of our cards have been played
Now there's nothing for me left to hide
I hope I have fate on my side
Either way I've got nothing to lose
Surrender is all I can do
And if you should be mine in the end
I'll remember it all happened when
I said I love you I didn't mean to
But the moonlight just gave me away
Now that I said it, try to forget it
And pretend it was all a mistake
I'll keep trying, though I'm denying
This feeling that I know is true
Stumbling and falling and still after all
I keep falling in love with you
I said I love you I didn't mean to
But the moonlight just gave me away
Now that I said it, try to forget it
And pretend it was all a mistake

This feeling that I know is true
Stumbling and falling and still after all
I keep falling in love with you
Stumbling and falling and still after all
Where was I when you forgot about me?
Was I with you right there in the room?

Every night I see you losing me

Every night I see you losing me
Never, never, never, never, never
I see you, I see you
Never hear and
I bless the day I found you
I want to stay around you
And so I beg you, let it be me
Don't take this heaven from one
If you must cling to someone
Now and forever, let it be me
Each time we meet love
I find complete love
Without your sweet love what would life be
So never leave me lonely
Tell me you love me only
And that you'll always let it be me
Each time we meet love
I find complete love
Without your sweet love what would life be
So never leave me lonely
Tell me you love me only
Let me tell you about a moonlight kiss
That she gave me on a night like this
Just a little taste of heaven's bliss
That I took away with me
Any time I see the stars above
She's the only one I'm thinking of
I don't know if you can call it love
But it's good enough for me
She's the vision that I can't forget
(Brother you ain't seen nothing yet)
She's the only woman in my dream
(Things ain't always what they seem)
All I wanna do is hold her tight
(What you gonna do when she's out all night?)
I don't remember asking your advice
(Brother go ahead and roll the dice)
That's the trouble with a moonlight kiss
That she gave me on a night like this
Just a little taste of heaven's bliss
That I took away with me
Any time I see the stars above
She's the only one I'm thinking of
I don't know if you can call it love
But it's good enough for me
She's the lover that I won't regret
(Brother how much you wanna make a bet?)
Nothing you say is gonna bring me down
(You should hear the rumors going round)
She makes me feel like I'm the only one
(It won't be long before you're done)
Why you always gonna mess with me?
(Brother the truth shall set you free)
That's the trouble with a moonlight kiss
That she gave me on a night like this
Just a little taste of heaven's bliss
That I took away with me
Any time I see the stars above
She's the only one I'm thinking of
I don't know if you can call it love
But it's good enough for me
That's the trouble with a moonlight kiss
That she gave me on a night like this
Just a little taste of heaven's bliss
That I took away with me
Any time I see the stars above
She's the only one I'm thinking of
I don't know if you can call it love
I can't begin to tell you
What your leavin's done to me
I'm up all night and sleep all day
And now everyone can see
That my yesterdays meant nothing
That was long ago
And if you think that nothing's changed
Well there's something you should know
San Antonio baby, won't you please come back to me
The very thought of losing you has brought me to my
knees
I feel like a king, but no longer royalty
San Antonio baby, won't you please come back to me
And we could start all over
You would love me once again
I'd hold you while I told you
I'd be faithful to the end
No more empty promises
The Devil surely knows
And he would have his way with me
If you leave me all alone
San Antonio baby, won't you please come back to me
The very thought of losing you has brought me to my
knees
I feel like a king, but no longer royalty
San Antonio baby, won't you please come back to me
San Antonio baby, won't you please come back to me
The very thought of losing you has brought me to my
knees
I feel like a king, but no longer royalty
San Antonio baby, won't you please come back to me
I feel like a king, but no longer royalty
San Antonio baby, won't you please come back to me
Here comes my happiness again
Right back to where it should have been
'Cause now she's gone and I am free
And she can't do a thing to me
I just wanna dance the night away
With senoritas who can sway
Right now tomorrow's lookin' bright
Just like the sunny mornin' light
And if you should see her
Please let her know that I'm well
As you can tell
And if she should tell you
That she wants me back
Tell her no
I gotta go
I just wanna dance the night away
With senoritas who can sway
Right now tomorrow's lookin' bright
Just like the sunny mornin' light
And if you should see her
Please let her know that I'm well
As you can tell
And if she should tell you
That she wants me back
Tell her no
I gotta go
I just wanna dance the night away
With senoritas who can sway
Right now tomorrow's lookin' bright
Just like the sunny mornin' light
I just wanna dance the night away
With senoritas who can sway
Right now tomorrow's lookin' bright
Lonely hearts are never broken
Truer words have not been spoken
It was only you and me right from the start
You let her in so say goodbye my lonely heart
You should have known by the way
She was looking that day
That I would fall for her no matter
What you had to say
With her pretty, pretty eyes
Man you should have realized
That there will come a time when there's a price to pay
But if what you say is true then I'll come back to you
Hammer and a nail
Hammer and a nail
Saint behind the glass
Holds a hammer and a nail
Baby in his arms
Baby in his arms
Saint behind the glass
Has a baby in his arms
Watches me sleep
Watches me sleep
Saint behind the glass
Watches me while I sleep
Coffee in the air
Coffee in the air
Saint behind the glass
Smells coffee in the air
Curtains blowing 'round
Curtains blowing 'round
Saint behind the glass
Sees curtains blowing 'round
Night upon my head
Night upon my head
Saint behind the glass
Lays night upon my head
Mother don't cry
Mother don't cry
Saint behind the glass
In the early morning rain, with a dollar in my hand
With an aching in my heart and my pockets full of sand
I'm a long way from home, and I miss my loved one so
In the early morning rain with no place to go
Out on runway number nine, big 707 set to go
But I'm stuck here on the ground where the cold winds
blow
Well the liquor tasted good and the women were all fast
There she goes my friend, o she's rolling now at last
Here the mighty engines roar, see the silver bird on high
She's away and westward bound, high above the clouds
she'll fly
Where the early rain don't fall and the sun always shines
She'll be flying o'er my home in about three hours time
This old airport's got me down, it's no earthly use to me
Cause I'm stuck here on the ground, cold and drunk as I
might be
You can't jump a jet plane like you can a freight train
Well, I tried so hard, my dear, to show that you're my every dream
Yet you're afraid each thing I do is just some evil game
A little memory from your lonesome past keeps us so far apart
Why can't I free your doubtful mind and melt your cold, cold heart?

Well, in anger unkind words are said that make the teardrops start
