*Mitra (Proto-Indo-Iranian, nominative *Mitras) was an important Indo-Iranian divinity. Following the prehistoric cultural split of Indo-Aryan and Iranian cultures, names descended from *mitra were used for the following religious entities:
Both Vedic Mitra and Avestan Mithra derive from an Indo-Iranian common noun *mitra-, generally reconstructed to have meant "covenant, treaty, agreement, promise." This meaning is preserved in Avestan miθra "covenant." In Sanskrit and modern Indo-Aryan languages, mitra means "friend," one of the aspects of binding[disambiguation needed 
] and alliance
The Indo-Iranian reconstruction is attributed to Christian Bartholomae, and was subsequently refined by A. Meillet (1907), who suggested derivation from the Proto-Indo-European root *mei "to exchange."
A suggested alternative derivation was *meh "to measure" (Gray 1929). Pokorny (IEW 1959) refined Meillet's *mei as "to bind." Combining the root *mei with the "tool suffix" -tra- "that which [causes] ..." (also found in man-tra-, "that which causes to think"), then literally means "that which binds," and thus "covenant, treaty, agreement, promise, oath" etc. Pokorny's interpretation also supports "to fasten, strengthen", which may be found in Latin moenia "city wall, fortification", and in an antonymic form, Old English (ge)maere "border, boundary-post".

Plot
Kolkata-based Sheela Bhowmik feels isolated and neglected, and decides to leave her busy film-maker husband, Raja, to spend sometime with her friend, Renu, her mom, and then subsequently travels to Kashmir to spend some time by herself. Raja gets involved in a new movie depicting the life of Gautam Buddh, and is on the look-out for a male child to play the character. He does find one, a young school-going lad, Abhirup Mitra; introduces him to the Producer, Vikram; as well as other crew including beautiful Anjali, who has a crush on Raja. Neither Vikram, Anjali nor any of the crew are aware that Raja is the prime suspect in the abduction of Abhirup.

Plot

O dízimo no Novo Testamento
Todas as pessoas agora vivem sob a autoridade de Cristo, como foi revelada no Novo Testamento (Mateus 28:18-20; João 12:48; Atos 17:30- 31). Sua vontade entrou em vigor depois de sua morte (Hebreus 9:16-28). Estes fatos nos ajudarão a entender as passagens do Novo Testamento, a respeito do dízimo.
Durante sua vida, Jesus reconheceu a autoridade da lei de Moisés. Ele era um judeu, nascido sob a lei (Gálatas 4:4) e com a missão de cumprir essa lei (Mateus 5:17-18). Jesus criticou os judeus hipócritas, que negligenciavam outros mandamentos divinos, enquanto zelosamente aplicavam a lei do dízimo (Mateus 23:23; Lucas 11:42; 18:9-14). Jesus não ensinou que a lei do dízimo seria uma parte de sua nova aliança, que entraria em vigor após sua morte.
O livro de Hebreus fala do dízimo, para mostrar a superioridade do sacerdócio de Jesus, quando comparado com o sacerdócio levítico da Velha Lei (Hebreus 7:1-10). Esta passagem não está ordenando o dízimo para hoje em dia. De fato, o mesmo capítulo afirma claramente que Jesus mudou ou revogou a lei de Moisés (Hebreus 7:11-19). O dízimo não é ordenado na lei de Cristo, que é o Novo Testamento.
Que lei se aplica hoje?
Não vivemos sob a lei de Moisés, hoje em dia. Jesus aboliu essa lei por sua morte (Efésios 2:14-15). Estamos mortos para essa lei para que possamos estar vivos para Cristo (Romanos 7:4-7). A lei gravada nas pedras, no Monte Sinai, extinguiu-se e a nova aliança permanece (2 Coríntios 3:6-11). A lei funcionou como um tutor para trazer o povo a Cristo, mas não estamos mais sob esse tutor (Gálatas 3:22-25). Aqueles que desejam estar sob a lei estão abandonando a liberdade em Cristo e retornando à escravidão (Gálatas 4:21-31). As pessoas que voltam a essa lei estão decaindo da graça e se separando de Cristo (Gálatas 5:1-6). Não temos o direito de retornar a essa lei, para obrigar que guardem o sábado, a circuncisão, os sacrifícios de animais, as regras especiais sobre roupas, a pena de morte para os filhos rebeldes, o dízimo e qualquer outro mandamento da lei de Moisés.
Vivemos sob a autoridade de Cristo e temos que encontrar a autoridade religiosa na nova aliança que ele nos deu através de sua morte. Ele é o mediador desta nova aliança (Hebreus 9:15). Seremos julgados por suas palavras (João 12:48-50). Desde que Jesus tem toda a autoridade, temos a responsabilidade de obedecer tudo o que ele ordena (Mateus 28:18-20).

O dízimo no Novo Testamento Todas as pessoas agora vivem sob a autoridade de Cristo, como foi revelada no Novo Testamento (Mateus 28:18-20; João 12:48; Atos 17:30- 31). Sua vontade entrou em vigor depois de sua morte (Hebreus 9:16-28). Estes fatos nos ajudarão a entender as passagens do Novo Testamento, a respeito do dízimo. Durante sua vida, Jesus reconheceu a autoridade da lei de Moisés. Ele era um judeu, nascido sob a lei (Gálatas 4:4) e com a missão de cumprir essa lei (Mateus 5:17-18). Jesus criticou os judeus hipócritas, que negligenciavam outros mandamentos divinos, enquanto zelosamente aplicavam a lei do dízimo (Mateus 23:23; Lucas 11:42; 18:9-14). Jesus não ensinou que a lei do dízimo seria uma parte de sua nova aliança, que entraria em vigor após sua morte. O livro de Hebreus fala do dízimo, para mostrar a superioridade do sacerdócio de Jesus, quando comparado com o sacerdócio levítico da Velha Lei (Hebreus 7:1-10). Esta passagem não está ordenando o dízimo para hoje em dia. De fato, o mesmo capítulo afirma claramente que Jesus mudou ou revogou a lei de Moisés (Hebreus 7:11-19). O dízimo não é ordenado na lei de Cristo, que é o Novo Testamento. Que lei se aplica hoje? Não vivemos sob a lei de Moisés, hoje em dia. Jesus aboliu essa lei por sua morte (Efésios 2:14-15). Estamos mortos para essa lei para que possamos estar vivos para Cristo (Romanos 7:4-7). A lei gravada nas pedras, no Monte Sinai, extinguiu-se e a nova aliança permanece (2 Coríntios 3:6-11). A lei funcionou como um tutor para trazer o povo a Cristo, mas não estamos mais sob esse tutor (Gálatas 3:22-25). Aqueles que desejam estar sob a lei estão abandonando a liberdade em Cristo e retornando à escravidão (Gálatas 4:21-31). As pessoas que voltam a essa lei estão decaindo da graça e se separando de Cristo (Gálatas 5:1-6). Não temos o direito de retornar a essa lei, para obrigar que guardem o sábado, a circuncisão, os sacrifícios de animais, as regras especiais sobre roupas, a pena de morte para os filhos rebeldes, o dízimo e qualquer outro mandamento da lei de Moisés. Vivemos sob a autoridade de Cristo e temos que encontrar a autoridade religiosa na nova aliança que ele nos deu através de sua morte. Ele é o mediador desta nova aliança (Hebreus 9:15). Seremos julgados por suas palavras (João 12:48-50). Desde que Jesus tem toda a autoridade, temos a responsabilidade de obedecer tudo o que ele ordena (Mateus 28:18-20).
