I fix the Google Account Storage is Full problem by using the "Clean up space" options to clear my Google Drive storage using my desktop, but if you use the links below you can clear Google Photos storage in phone. Then I use a "Recover Storage" option to reduce ALL the photos and videos in my Google Photos to Storage Saver Size. There is no option to see what photos & videos are in my Drive at Original Size, so the only way is to compress all the photos and videos to free up some storage. Finally, I show a way to create a Google Account for storage JUST for Google photos... and set up my phone to upload and sync photos and videos with this new Google Account. The photos that you save won't count towards your storage, as long as your partner continues to share them with you through Partner Sharing." Choose what to auto-save - Save all Photos - Only save photos of selected people - Don't save any photos. I select Save all photos. I think then you can delete photos in your new account, and they're still kept in your first account without taking up storage space quota. Back up to a hard drive to be safe. Also if I backup to my computer and delete from my phone then the photos will delete from my accounts. You can only be logged into one account at a time if that helps. This is what I would do if it were me: If you can backup to a computer, thats safest to keep them safe. Turn off backup on both accounts. Go into your old account and delete what you need to bring you under 15gb so that account works again - either from your phone or directly in Google Photos. Don't switch on backup on your old account again In the New account, delete everything or start a new new account. Delete pictures from your phone, while logged into the new account. Turn on backup so new photos are backed up to new account. Unhelpfully google photos offers option to just backup or backup & sync (so deletions are mirrored in Google Photos and your phone) and it's hard for me to see which has been selected.
