The village of Beer is in south-east Devon, England, on Lyme Bay. It is situated on the 95-mile long Jurassic Coast, England's first natural World Heritage Site and its picturesque cliffs, including Beer Head, form part of the South West Coast Path. The name is not derived from the drink but from the old Anglo-Saxon word "bearu" ("grove"), referring to the original forestation that surrounded the town. It is a pretty coastal village, 25 miles from Exeter, that grew up around a smugglers' cove and caves which were once used[citation needed] to store contraband goods. These are now part of the attraction of the village. Many of the buildings are faced with flint, a hard glassy stone found in the local chalk rock.

"The president of the Cleveland Patrolmen's Association on Monday refused to back down from criticizing a Cleveland Browns player as "pathetic" for wearing a shirt calling for justice for two unarmed black males who were killed by police officers in Ohio. Cleveland Patrolmen's Association President Jeffrey Follmer on Sunday issued a statement criticizing Browns wide receiver Andrew Hawkins for wearing a shirt saying, "Justice For Tamir Rice and John Crawford," before the team's game. Tamir Rice, 12, was shot to death by Cleveland police last month while carrying a pellet gun. Crawford, 22, was killed by police officers in August while holding a toy rifle in a Walmart in Dayton, Ohio. "It's pretty pathetic when athletes think they know the law," Follmer said on Sunday. "They should stick to what they know best on the field. The Cleveland Police protect and serve the Browns stadium and the Browns organization owes us an apology." After Hawkins explained on Monday that he wore the shirt thinking of what could happen to his 2-year-old son, Follmer refused to back down."* The Young Turks hosts Cenk Uygur breaks it down. *Read more here: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/12/15/jeffrey-follmer-cleveland-browns_n_6330990.html Support TYT for FREE by doing your Amazon shopping through this link (bookmark it!) http://www.amazon.com/?tag=theyoungturks-20

U.S Coalition ( Iraq, Syria, Jordan, Egypt ) AirStrike Islamic State ( ISIS/ISIL ) 2015 - The Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) is a jihadist rebel group that controls territory in Iraq and Syria and also operates in eastern Libya, the Sinai Peninsula of Egypt, and other areas of the Middle East, North Africa, South Asia, and Southeast Asia. The group's Arabic name is transliterated as ad-Dawlah al-Islāmīyah fī al-‘Irāq wash-Shām leading to the Arabic acronym Da‘ish or DAESH. The name is also commonly translated as the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria or Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham (ISIS). On 29 June 2014, the group proclaimed itself to be a Worldwide Caliphate and renamed itself to the Islamic State (IS), but the new name has been widely criticized and condemned, with the UN, various governments, and mainstream Muslim groups refusing to acknowledge it. # US AirStrike ISIS / ISIL / Islamic State 2015 # Iraq AirStrike ISIS / ISIL / Islamic State 2015 # Syria AirStrike ISIS / ISIL / Islamic State 2015 # Jordan AirStrike ISIS / ISIL / Islamic State 2015 # Egypt AirStrike ISIS / ISIL / Islamic State 2015 airstrikes against isis, airstrike on isis, airstrike footage, airstrike in syria, airstrike in iraq, us airstrike against isis, news isis today, airstrike on isil, airstrike compilations 2015,

Pope Francis Meets Russian President Putin

Pope Francis and Russian President Vladimir Putin met on Monday (November 25) and discussed the Middle East and problems faced by Christians in various parts of the world but did not touch on the strained relationship between the Vatican and the Orthodox Church. The 35-minute meeting at the Vatican was the first between Pope Francis and Putin, who met the pontiff's two immediate predecessors, Benedict and John Paul II. "It was quite a cordial and constructive meeting," Vatican spokesman Father Federico Lombardi told reporters after the encounter to which Putin arrived around 45 minutes late because of transport problems. Relations between the Catholic Church and Russia have long been uneasy because of accusations that the Vatican has tried to poach believers from the Orthodox Church, a charge it denies. Putin brought a greeting to the pope from Patriarch Kirill, the head of the Russian Orthodox Church, but did not talk about inter-church matters, Lombardi said. There was also no discussion of a possible visit to Russia by Francis. The two leaders discussed the civil war in Syria and the pope stressed the need to end violence and bring assistance to the civilian population. The Russian President, accompanied by ministers and business leaders, is due to meet Italian Prime Minister Enrico Letta and members of the government in the northeastern port city of Trieste on Tuesday (November 26).

Emergency law requiring data to be stored for 12 months is announced, amid fears over Britons fighting in Syria and Iraq. MI5 and the police will be able to read people's emails and listen to people's mobile phone conversations under emergency laws, David Cameron has said. The Prime Minister said the measures were needed to "maintain powers to help keep us safe from those who would harm UK citizens", which was essential given the threat from unrest in Syria and Iraq. The laws will mean internet firms and other companies will be required to store data on "who contacted whom and when" for 12 months. And he said security services would be able to listen to phone calls or read emails, although they would need to request a warrant, which would have to be signed off by a secretary of state, to do so. Monitoring emails and phone calls has helped stop terror plots, says PM Announcing the move alongside Nick Clegg, who had been staunchly against a previously suggested "snooper's charter", he conceded the measures would only be temporary and the public would be given access to details of warrants requested for the first time. Under plans detailed in the Data Retention and Investigation Powers Bill: :: Firms will have to retain phone and email detail for 12 months. :: The number of public bodies allowed to request phone and email details will be limited - Royal Mail, pensions bodies and charities no longer given access. :: Councils will be banned from asking for information directly from internet and phone providers.

The group\'s Arabic name is transliterated as ad-Dawlah al-Islāmīyah fī al-‘Irāq wash-Shām leading to the Arabic acronym Da‘ish or DAESH.
