Here it is! My new favourite toy... In all honesty, I think this is probably the best model train I have ever bought (except perhaps Silver Link). I highly recommend it in this review, and show some of it's incredible new features - directional DCC lighting, cab lighting, destination board lighting, and interior lighting!

While at Birmingham New Street on the 0914 to London Euston because i was travelling to Lea Hall, there was an announcement by the guard about this service but he said first time, if you left your railcard in your other jacket you will not be discounted so he did the announcement again a few minutes later after the 0910 Virgin Trains service left, hoping to catch the sameish announcement but got more than i bargain for, have to listen to this!

At the end of last year London Midland lost their final class 321's to replace them with even older class 319's. The 321's went to Doncaster to be modified and made ready for use with ScotRail on suburban Glasgow services. The modifications included a refurbishment inside (however some of the sets are still the same) adding electronic displays inside and the removal of one coach making them 3 car units, this resulting in their renumbering to class 320's. The ex. London Midland units now in Scotland haven't yet been repainted, so still wear the full LM green livery, just without the branding, which certainly turns a few heads in Glasgow.
This video includes some footage of the class 321's in the final few months of their operation for London Midland and some footage I got of them recently around Scotland as renumbered class 320's!

A business man can't find his ticket when challenged by Mike the inspector, but can produce his receipt bought 10 minutes before.
The ticket inspector "MIKE" tells the traveler to buy a new ticket or get off. The traveler reluctantly agrees to and hands the Ticket Inspector his rail card before reaching for his wallet.
The ticket inspector says "that is of no interest to me" and pushes the railcard away
Other passengers now speak between themselves at how unfair it is and the ticket inspector NEARLY DOUBLES the price of the ticket to a more expensive ticket type and says to the traveler "I don't like your attitude so you can't have that ticket any more"
The ticket inspector had originally offered £28 but this went to £55 , then to £52 with the inspector proudly saying "I can do what I want" . . when challenged about London Midlands passenger charter and his obligation to sell the cheapest ticket he can, he proudly says "the man should have bought a ticket before he traveled", which resulted in all passengers exclaiming "he did and YOU are making him buy a new one".
The inspector grinned and said "you either pay £52 or get off"

London Midland is a train operating company in the United Kingdom. Legally named London and Birmingham Railway Ltd, it is a subsidiary of Govia, and has operated the West Midlands franchise since 11 November 2007.
Its services operate primarily on the West Coast Main Line from London Euston and in the West Midlands region, replacing previous operators Central Trains and Silverlink (both subsidiaries of the National Express Group).
The company has stated that it experienced many breakdowns due to the outdated rolling stock it inherited and which it has now replaced. The services to London have received more attention,[citation needed] although the neglect of the local Midland services outside of Birmingham[citation needed] has led to the company having some of the lowest performance rates of any British rail franchise. The company has seen marked improvements in customer satisfaction rates during 2010, with train frequency, reliability and value all rising by 11% in the customers' eyes. The state of onboard toilet facilities, however, showed no marked improvement.

A people mover or automated people mover (APM) is a fully automated, grade-separated mass transit system.
The term is generally used only to describe systems serving relatively small areas such as airports, downtown districts or theme parks, but is sometimes applied to considerably more complex automated systems.
The term was originally applied to three different systems, developed roughly at the same time. One was Skybus, an automated mass transit system prototyped by the Westinghouse Electric Corporation beginning in 1964. The second, alternately called the People Mover and Minirail, opened in Montreal at Expo 67. Finally the last, called PeopleMover or Goodyear PeopleMover, was an attraction sponsored by the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company which opened at Disneyland in 1967. Now, however, the term "people mover" is generic, and may use technologies such as monorail, duorail, automated guideway transit or maglev. Propulsion may involve conventional on-board electric motors, linear motors or cable traction.

Here it is! My new favourite toy... In all honesty, I think this is probably the best model train I have ever bought (except perhaps Silver Link). I highly recommend it in this review, and show some of it's incredible new features - directional DCC lighting, cab lighting, destination board lighting, and interior lighting! Enjoy! This video is property of Train_PlaneHub, "RachaelMatt" 1080p HD! At the end of last year London Midland lost their final class 321's to replace them with even older class 319's. The 321's went to Doncaster to be modified and made ready for use with ScotRail on suburban Glasgow services. The modifications included a refurbishment inside (however some of the sets are still the same) adding electronic displays inside and the removal of one coach making them 3 car units, this resulting in their renumbering to class 320's. The ex. London Midland units now in Scotland haven't yet been repainted, so still wear the full LM green livery, just without the branding, which certainly turns a few heads in Glasgow. Thameslink units in replacement of 7x class 321's they previously had. However seeing actually run is something of a rarity as they seem to fail daily and the services they're scheduled to operate are cancelled or covered by a 350. But this day all was well and I planned a ride on the only diagrammed 319 service from Euston, which is the 17:05 to Milton Keynes. This video includes various shots of the units and some onboard footage showing you just how loud they are! I say new. They're new for London Midland. They're certainly not new trains...
London Midland have recently acquired some ex. Thameslink units in replacement of 7x class 321's they previously had. However seeing actually run is something of a rarity as they seem to fail daily and the services they're scheduled to operate are cancelled or covered by a 350. But this day all was well and I planned a ride on the only diagrammed 319 service from Euston, which is the 17:05 to Milton Keynes. This video includes various shots of the units and some onboard footage showing you just how loud they are! The 321's will certainly be missed but at least there's another type of old unit in their replacement. In fact 319's are older, but much less reliable.
London Midland currently use the 319's on the St Albans Abby Branch line & they *should* operate the 07:14 from Bletchley to Euston then the 17:05 from Euston back to Milton Keynes in the evening.
