Muhammad Adamu Aliero (born 1 January 1957) was governor of Kebbi State in Nigeria from 29 May 1999 to 29 May 2007. He is a member of the People's Democratic Party (PDP). He became Senator for Kebbi Central from June 5, 2007 till December 18, 2008.

Aleru was appointed Minister of the Federal Capital Territory by President Umaru Musa Yar'Adua in December 2008. He left office in March 2010 when Acting President Goodluck Jonathan dissolved his cabinet.

He is married and the father of eight children.

Born in Aliero, Aliero Local Government Area of Kebbi State (then part of the Northern Region, Adamu received his primary education at an Islamic school. His elementary education commenced in 1965 at Aliero Town Planning School. He then attended the Government Secondary School in Koko and graduated in 1976.

This was followed by admission into the School of Basic Studies at Ahmadu Bello University, where he enrolled in the Interim Joint Matriculation Board (IJMB) certificate program. He began undergraduate studies in 1977 and graduated with a Bachelors of Science degree Political Science in 1980.

Grace Jackson (born 14 June 1961 in St. Ann, Jamaica ) is a retired Jamaican athlete, who competed mainly in the 100 and 200 metres.

Jackson reached the 100 and 200 m finals in the 1984 and 1988 Summer Olympic Games and the 200 m final in Barcelona in 1992.

Her breakthrough performance was at the 1988 Summer Olympics, held in Seoul, South Korea. She won a silver medal over 200 m behind Florence Griffith-Joyner, beating then 200 m World Champion Silke Moller, Heike Drechsler and team mate Merlene Ottey. She also won a bronze medal at the 1987 IAAF World Indoor Championships and a silver medal at the 1989 IAAF World Indoor Championships.

Samuel Oluyemisi Falae (born September 21, 1938), simply known as Olu Falae, is a Nigerian politician from Akure, Ondo State. A Yale University-trained banker, he served as the Federal Minister of Finance in the military regime of Ibrahim Babangida in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Falae was a prominent member of the National Democratic Coalition (NADECO) during the quest for the restoration of democracy in Nigeria. He unsuccessfully contested the 1999 Nigerian presidential elections on the joint platform of the Alliance for Democracy (AD) and the All People's Party (APP) against Olusegun Obasanjo, the presidential candidate for the People's Democratic Party (PDP). A Yoruba Christian, he swept the southwest, the Yoruba heartland, but proved unable to attract significant support elsewhere. Since then the Oloye Falae has lived in semi-retirement as a large scale farmer in Ago Abo, Akure, where he holds the chieftaincy title of the viceroyal Abo of Ilu Abo.

He is currently also the protem Chairman of the Democratic Peoples Alliance or DPA, a progressive party allied with the All Progressive Grand Alliance or APGA.

Mr Femi Falana is a Nigerian lawyer and human rights activist. He was the former president of the National Association of Democratic Lawyers and he is also a former chairman of the West African Bar Association, WABA. He contested and lost the governorship election of Ekiti State in 2007 on the ticket of the National Conscience Party; as of 2011 he was the national chairman of the party.

Mr Falana was born on 20 May 1958 at Ilawe, Ekiti state, Nigeria. He had his primary schooling at St. Michael’s Primary School, Ilawe, between 1963 and 1968, his secondary education was at Sacred Heart Catholic Seminary between 1971 and 1975. Mr Falana enrolled at the University of Ife, now Obafemi Awolowo University to study law in 1977 and he completed his studies there in 1981. He proceeded to the Nigeria Law School, Lagos in 1981 and was called to the bar in 1982. In 1983 after his youth service, he joined the Chambers of Alao Aka-Bashorun, a renowned legal activist. In 1991, Mr Falana started his own Chambers, Femi Falana, which later became Falana and Falana Chambers.

Jerry Gana (born 30 November 1945) is a Nigerian scholar, politician and former Minister for Information under Ernest Shonekan. He was the director of the Mass Mobilization for Social Justice and Economic Recovery, popularly known as MAMSER. Later he became Minister of Information in the cabinet of President Olusegun Obasanjo, and in June 2006 announced plans to run for President.

Jerry Gana was born on 30 November 1945, at Busu in Doko LGA, Niger State. He attended Government College, Bida and Okene Secondary School before being admitted to Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria. He graduated in 1970 and went on for his Masters and Ph.D four years later at Aberdeen University. He was appointed Geography lecturer at ABU in 1973, senior lecturer in 1976, reader in 1980 and professor in 1985.

Gana ran unsuccessfully for president in 1992 on the Social Democratic Party platform. He was elected Senator in 1983, serving briefly until the military coup that brought General Muhammadu Buhari to power. He was appointed chairman of Mass Mobilisation for Social and Economic Recovery under General Ibrahim Babangida's government. He subsequently became a cabinet minister for Agriculture and Natural Resources, Information and Culture, Cooperation and Integration in Africa and again for Information and National Orientation.
