Colin Fox (actor)

Colin Fox (born November 20, 1938) is a Canadian actor.

Career

His acting credits include playing Jean Paul Desmond and Jacques Eloi Des Mondes (the latter speaking to his descendant from the portrait) in Strange Paradise (CBC/Syndicated, 1969–70), as well as voice work in various animated series, and in other roles in film, television and on the stage. He created the role of Walter Telford, an attorney on the series High Hopes. His most famous role may be that of Anton Hendricks in the TV series PSI Factor: Chronicles of the Paranormal. He also appeared in Shining Time Station episode, "Schemer's Special Club" as the misogynistic and racist Nicklear Club President and owner Mr. Hobart Hume III.

Fox is well known for his portrayal of Swiss chef Fritz Brenner in the A&E TV original series, A Nero Wolfe Mystery (2001–2002), and the series pilot, The Golden Spiders: A Nero Wolfe Mystery (2000).

He played cunning, ruthless villains in three episodes of the Canadian TV show Friday the 13th: The Series. One of them actually killed Micki, one of the lead characters, in the episode "Tails I live, heads you die".

Colin Fox (political activist)

Colin Fox (born 17 June 1959, Motherwell) is the national co-spokesperson of the Scottish Socialist Party (SSP) and a former Member of the Scottish Parliament for the Lothians (2003-07).

Described in The Herald as "one of Scotland's most prominent socialists", he is a founding member of the SSP and Scotland's longest-serving party leader or spokesperson, having been originally elected as the SSP's convener in February 2005. He was a member of the Yes Scotland Advisory Board.

Personal life

Fox was born in Motherwell. Both of his grandfathers were steelworkers, his mother was a nurse and his father an insurance salesman with the Co-operative Insurance Society. He attended Our Lady's High School before studying mathematics at Strathclyde University and accountancy at Bell's College, Hamilton (now part of the University of the West of Scotland). He graduated with a BSc (Hons) in social sciences from the Open University in 2013.

Colin currently lives in the Inch, Edinburgh, with his partner Zillah and their two children.

A Nero Wolfe Mystery

A Nero Wolfe Mystery is a television series adapted from Rex Stout's classic series of detective stories that aired for two seasons (2001–2002) on A&E. Set in New York City sometime in the 1940s–1950s, the stylized period drama stars Maury Chaykin as Nero Wolfe and Timothy Hutton as Archie Goodwin. A distinguishing feature of the series is its use of a repertory cast to play non-recurring roles. A Nero Wolfe Mystery was one of the Top 10 Basic Cable Dramas for 2002.

The series won praise for its high production values and jazzy score by Michael Small, and for preserving the language and spirit of the original stories. Most of the teleplays were written by consulting producer Sharon Elizabeth Doyle and the team of William Rabkin and Lee Goldberg, whose "Prisoner's Base" was nominated for an Edgar Award by the Mystery Writers of America.

Nero Wolfe was produced for A&E by Jaffe/Braunstein Films, one of the first production companies to use high-definition video for television. Although the second season was shot in HD, none of the several home video releases of the series has been issued in HD, and only one of the 20 episodes ("The Silent Speaker") has been issued in 16:9 widescreen format.

Milo Yiannopoulos

Milo Yiannopoulos (Greek: Μίλων Γιαννόπουλος, born 18 October 1983) is a British journalist and entrepreneur. Education

Yiannopoulos was born in Greece, but was raised by a middle-class family in Kent. His mother is Jewish, and his stepfather is an architect. Yiannopoulos attended the University of Manchester, dropping out without graduating. He then attended Wolfson College, Cambridge where he studied English literature for two years before dropping out. Regarding dropping out of university, in 2012 he told Forbes, "I try to tell myself I'm in good company, but ultimately it doesn't say great things about you unless you go on to terrific success in your own right." In 2015, in an article titled "I dropped out of Manchester and Cambridge but it’s honestly fine", he wrote that he didn't believe a college degree was necessary for success, and that he believed he had achieved success without one.

Nero Julius Caesar

Nero Julius Caesar Germanicus (c. AD 6–AD 31) was a close relative of the Roman emperors of the Julio-Claudian dynasty.

Nero was born around AD 6, to Germanicus and Agrippina the Elder. His paternal grandparents were Nero Claudius Drusus and Antonia Minor, daughter of Mark Antony and Octavia Minor. His maternal grandparents were Marcus Vipsanius Agrippa and Julia the Elder, daughter of Augustus.

Nero's siblings included four brothers (Tiberius and Gaius Julius, who died young; Drusus Caesar; and the future Emperor Caligula) and three sisters (Agrippina the Younger, Julia Drusilla, and Julia Livilla). In 20, he married Julia (daughter of Drusus the Younger), daughter of Livilla and Drusus "Castor" (Tiberius' only son by Vipsania Agrippina). Though earlier he was betrothed to the daughter of Creticus Silanus, one-time governor of Syria.

His father Germanicus was heir apparent to his own adoptive father Emperor Tiberius, but Germanicus predeceased the Emperor in 19. He was replaced as heir by Drusus, his father-in-law. But he too predeceased the Emperor on September 14, 23.
