Shepherd Entertainment takes you on a tour of Xian, which was the first capital and the 10 biggest cities of China.
Xian was the first capital of China. The heart of the enormous empire once throbbed here. Rows of
imperial dynasties ruled from here over 11 centuries. This was the starting point of the famous Silk
Road and the city with its 1 million residents was considered a huge metropolis at that time. Although
the city lost its rank and influence after the revolution of Huang Chao in 875, it still belongs to the 10
biggest cities of China.
The Asian countries have always been famous for their handicrafts and China is no exception to this.
The making, coloring and processing of silk looks back on such ancient traditions as paper cutting, paper
folding or the making of --. Chinese calligraphy and wooden engravings are also famous together with
porcelain painting. In Xian, almost all fields of handicrafts are practiced, however the most well known
are the carvings made of semiprecious stones. From light green jade and deep green nephrite, mostly
little sculptures and ornaments are carved. The decorations and patterns of which imitate ancient
statues. There are many dragon representations but of course Buddha sculptures are also made in large
numbers.
China joined the monument and landscape protection program of the UNESCO in 1985. From 1987 until
these days, more than 10000 buildings have been declared monuments, 63 settlements have received
cityscape protection and 27 treasures have been recorded in the world heritage list. The long list
includes the imperial palace of Beijing, the summer palace, the temple of heaven, the Ming tombs, the
sections of the Great Wall around the capital and of course the terracotta army. This spectacle can be
found 1.5km east of the burial hill of Qin Shi Huang Di. The tomb of the strict ruler unifying China is 221

decades.
A farmer named Yang Gi Fa drilled a well from which water always escaped so he went down to the well
to check the reason. Do there, he found himself face to face with a frightful figure. However this figure
was not a monster or a ghost or even a skeleton or mummy but a clay statue which looked very real. In
communist China in 1974, people had to be very careful about what they should report to the
authorities and what not. After long pondering the farmer reported his finding to the museum of Xian
and he got 30 yuan as a reward. Archeologists found one of the most significant artifacts of the world
here, under the agricultural land.
In several cultures, for instance in Egypt or South America, it was a custom to bury the dead lord
together with all his people so that they could serve him even in the afterlife. From this custom, came
the -- in Egypt which is a little sculpture who works in place of his lord in the afterlife. Probably it was a
similar reason why this huge clay army followed their master to the grave. During the first excavations,
some three enormous chambers were found deep into the ground. The biggest of them is more than
14000 square meters. Inside this, the 6000 armed men stood ordered in military formation. The man
sized figures bore real weapons and accessories. Their makers didn't choose the easy way. They didn't
just pour clay into forms. They formed them individually by hand which is evident by the fact that the
face of all the figures have individual features. Maybe they really represented the actual people of the
army of that time.

Shepherd Entertainment takes you on a tour of Saqqara, which was the burial mound of Memphis. There are monuments from at
least 3000 years on this 7 kilometer long limestone plateau, from the earliest graves to the monastery of the Copt Christians.
Saqqara was the burial mound of Memphis. There are monuments from at least 3000 years on this 7 kilometer long limestone plateau, from the earliest graves to the monastery of the Copt Christians. These buildings, which were covered by sand, were excavated by Auguste Mariette, but there are new findings even today.
Imhotep surrounded the Djoser Pyramid with a 10 meter wall with false doors. There were bastions and tabernacles while within the wall were shrines, halls and chapels. The wall was ornamented by a cobras head. The corridor leading to the yard is bordered by 40 pillars, imitating palm trees. The largest and well know monument of Saqqara is the pyramid of the Pharaoh Djoser. This is the first such structure to be called pyramid, before that, people bury their dead in mastabas. The design of the pyramid is associated with Imhotep, who was not only the greatest Architect of the 3rd dynasty, but also a high priest and a General of the Pharaoh. It was probably his idea to put 6 smaller and smaller square mastabas on top of each other, which led to the shape of the pyramid. His works set an example for Royal Architects for several centuries. Later the stairs of the pyramid were filles up and its size was covered to achieve a perfect pyramid shape.
In a northeastern corner of the area, an extremely deep cistern was discovered. From the bastion above it, the burial ground of the Saint -- bowls, the Serapium, can be seen perfectly, as well as the distant Pyramids of Giza.
It's widely known that all European power, the Germans, the Italians, but mostly the French and the British were present at the rediscovery of Egypt.
Those who are interested in Egyptology might know the names of Denon, Shante Leon, Lazoni, Mariette, Broch, Lepzius, Gaston Maspereau, and of course Howard Carter. Let's not forget the Italian, Girolamo Zagato, who found the entrance of the pyramid in 1820 while drawing a map.
The oldest graffiti in the world originates from the 12th century B.C. It can be found on the wall of one of the side buildings under the protection of a glass case. If one were to do something like this today, it is possible that the author would visit the local jail sooner than his graffiti would be protected by a glass case, the guards are there to prevent any kind of disruption.
The serdab is the close statue chamber of tomb chapels or mastabas from where the Pharaohs statue looks out to the outside world, this is how his soul preserved his relationship with the living. There is the original entrance on the southern side of the pyramid while on the northern one, there is new one, cut by Archaeologists. The burial chambers found beneath the pyramid around the middle of the building. The maze of corridors and chambers is almost 5 kilometers long and is probably connected to the cistern. There are lots of corridors which have not been fully discovered.
The Pyramid of Teti looks like a piece of rubble on the outside but is very interesting on the inside. There aren't too many pyramids which are open to the public. The walls are covered with texts and the ceiling depicts the night sky. The greatest mastaba is the one of Mereruka and his wife, the son in law, and daughter of Teti. One can even see Meruruka himself in the complicated mastaba, which has more than 30 rooms, as his life size statue steps out of a door. There were several claims which stated that grave robbers instantly fled as they saw the statue in the dim light. Almost square meter of the walls is covered by engraving, pictures or hieroglyphs, which introduce viewers to life in ancient times, hunting, fishing, agriculture and animal husbandry. In other pictures, one can see the scenes of raising a child, celebrations, and potters at work.

Travel video about destination Venezia Mystica in Italy.
During the Middle Ages, Venice was the most powerful trading metropolis in the Adriatic and Eastern Mediterranean and also a mystical place with a fascinating charisma. Several times a year the sea penetrates the city and overflows onto the Piazza San Marco in which the Basilica, with its Oriental and Byzantine influences, is an impressive sight. Famous personalities such as Casanova and Cagliostro lived in Venice and their decadent lives made a unique contribution to the city's historic reputation. Standing proudly above the Grand Canal is the world famous Rialto Bridge that is supported by 12 thousand pillars and measures 48 metres long and 22 metres wide. The most prosperous of the city's families erected their palaces on the city's canal banks and the foundations of these buildings are supported by thousands of pillars. They also donated lavishly furnished churches and promoted the arts, thus artists such as Giorgione and Tizian became world famous. In earlier times, gravediggers travelled on black veiled gondolas to the small island of San Michele. Flickering lights on wooden poles still illuminate the way to the island cemetery. The humidity of the soil forced the Venetians to bury their dead in the honeycombed alcoves of cemetery walls. During carnival time, the city takes on a special charm when, for ten days prior to Lent, enchanting, colourful costumes and masks dominate the lagoon city. During carnival the melancholic splendour of past centuries awakes and each year the extravagant spectacle attracts large numbers of tourists from all over the world. For mystical delight with a good serving of history, Venice is without equal!

Trevor visits Michael at his house and plans to bust Brad Snider out of prison. Michael, however, is reluctant to discuss Brad and this soon leads to a debate. While initially friendly, the two soon get into an argument about their respective futures. Michael intends to retire in peace, while Trevor accepts that a life of crime is all he has. Eventually, their dispute brings Trevor to the one question Michael hoped he would never ask, and Trevor asks Michael who was buried in his grave in North Yankton. Michael claims he never "gave it much thought". Trevor, becoming ever more suspicious, threatens Michael, claiming he is a "dead man", and storms out of the house. Michael, realizing what Trevor might be thinking, attempts to follow, but finds that Trevor has stolen his car. While Trevor is en route to Sandy Shores Airfield, Michael calls him and attempts to talk him out of flying to North Yankton, but Trevor refuses and hangs up.
Both men travel back to Ludendorff, Trevor via his plane at Sandy Shores (where he receives a call from Michael, and calls Ron) and Michael through Los Santos International Airport, (during the drive Michael calls Trevor to convince him to stop, and to warn Dave Norton that Trevor knows about their secret). Michael arrives at the airport, where some henchmen watch him check in. Once in North Yankton, Michael drives to the cemetery. Along the way, he has flashbacks about the events that took place in 2004, including convincing Amanda that they must accept the FIB's deal and move to Los Santos, as well as memories of the set up heist. Trevor calls Ron asking for a plane to use to take him across country, and Ron confirms a plane is at the Airfield fueled up and ready to use. Trevor arrives at the Airfield and boards the plane to fly to North Yankton. While en route, he recieves a text message from Ron warning him that Wei Cheng's men are looking for him. Trevor arrives at the graveyard, finds "Michael"'s grave and starts digging it up. Michael finally arrives and finds Trevor digging up the grave. He attempts to talk him out of digging up the grave again, but the efforts proved to be fruitless. When Trevor digs up the grave and opens up the coffin his suspicions are confirmed: Brad was killed and buried in Michael's place.
Through Michael's confession and a flashback scene (if played from Michael's perspective), the true events of the Prologue come to light: the FIB caught up to Michael and made him a deal to surrender Trevor and Brad in exchange for protection. The heist in turn was a set-up to lure the crew into the FIB. Brad was shot and killed, while Michael play-acted to convince Trevor he was wounded as well.
Trevor and Michael aim pistols at each other and have another argument over the grave, but before either one can shoot, the Triads arrive to capture Trevor. Trevor throws his gun at Michael and escapes through the cemetery's main gate, whilst Michael shoots at Trevor. Michael must now return to his car whilst fighting off the henchman. He eventually reaches his car, but finds it has been immobilized by Trevor. Some Triads arrive and order Michael out of the car at gunpoint. With no other option, Michael surrenders.
The scene switches to Trevor flying back to Los Santos. During the flight, he receives a call from Wei Cheng. Cheng states he has captured Michael and is prepared to kill him unless Trevor surrenders of his control of criminal activities in Blaine County to the Triads. Cheng thinks this threat will work because he and his men mistakenly believe that Trevor and Michael are "ji laos" (lovers). Trevor laughs and mocks Cheng about his assumption and hangs up. Once Trevor lands back at Sandy Shores Airfield, he receives another call from Patricia Madrazo, to his shock. He tells her that his time with her was something he will never forget, before she says goodbye and hangs up.

Ayurvedic Spa - See how ayurveda massage is performed in an ayurvedic resort in New Delhi, India.
Kairali Resorts, just outside Delhi, provides ayurvedic services to its customers. "Ayurveda is an Indian traditional science, it is a science where it treats the body. It does not treat the disease, it treats the body as a whole. It has two aspects in it, the wellness, that is the preventive aspect of Ayurveda, and the curative aspect."
Ayurveda is a form of an alternative medicine that has been used in parts of India for over centuries now. The emphasis is on physical, mental and spiritual harmony. I am now going to start the treatments and the first one they are going to begin with is Abhyangam, followed by the two that is bundle massage and Shirodhara.
"Simple treatment like Abhyangam which is a general body massage. It starts from top to toe massaging the body with two people synchronizingly massaging the body for a period of 45 minutes. Followed by Shirodhara. That is a popular treatment." And now I will be going for my head massage which is basically very imperative even for any treatment, be it Abhyangam, be it the Bundle massage or be it Shirodhara.
"The next of it Shirodhara, which is pouring of the oil on the forehead continuously and your body is take care of." You do not know how they work it, but it is such a beautiful sensation on your forehead, must try for everybody visiting India, especially Delhi. I am Pinky Nigam showing you Delhi.

Tour guide Christos Bakoyannis takes his tour group down an Athens backstreet and shows them a state charity that helps the homeless. In front of the entrance, a homeless men lies on the sidewalk covered in a blanket.
Bakoyannis will also show his group the corners of the city where he himself used to sleep and do drugs, and where he would try to find something to eat, unravelling a tale of his life as a homeless person.
This tour through Athens is like no other that any tourist has been on. Once a week, Christos and other homeless people like him take visitors through the capital's alleys and backstreets. But they will not see the Acropolis, instead they will visit soup kitchens and shelters, and hear the shocking stories of their own tour guide's experiences on the street.
The "Invisible Routes" tour is an initiative by Shedia, Greece's version of the international streetpaper organisation for the homeless, to integrate them back into society with a paying job that will also bring them into contact with others. It is also to sensitise the public to their lives.
"If my experience influences someone to help, to provide care to someone, if it touches their heart and makes them want to give something, this will be a great satisfaction to me," said 50-year-old Bakoyannis, who has been homeless on and off since he was 16 after his parents died. The streets led him to drugs, jail, and other dangers, but he went through rehabilitation and says he has been clean for the last seven years. He currently sleeps in a friend's shop storeroom.
Labros Moustakis, another tour guide, shows the group the Ionis Hotel, which has been converted by the city into a shelter for the homeless. Moustakis, 52, a Greek from Brazil, lives here. It is an ironic image, as he used to be a hotel employee before he lost his job due to the economic crisis in 2011 and he could not pay his rent. His wife and teenage children left him and he was left alone in the country.
"My first fear was whether I was going to be able to speak to people," he said about being a guide. "But from the first moment I felt like a new door was opening for me, a new opportunity in my life. I am homeless, I live in a shelter, the crisis was a slap in the face and it made me fall to my knees. But I said damn it, I have to fight, I cannot let them cripple me and bury me," he added.
During Greece's financial crisis, the number of homeless increased 25-30 percent, as people began to lose their jobs and finding new ones was impossible under the dire economic climate.
Shedia director, Christos Alefantis, said it was all about changing people's perception of who the homeless are, but also bringing the homeless back from being outcasts.
"They will all say to you how important it is to feel included, to have someone to talk to, to have this exchange of thoughts, experiences, ideas," he said. "I think this is a major step not only towards self inclusion but self appreciation, self respect, self confidence."
The homeless guides were coached by the Athens tour guide association on how to present to groups. Local writers and historians also taught them the history of the capital's buildings. Part of the tour includes the National Theatre, one of Athens' oldest buildings. Christos tells the tour the theatre has dark memories for him, as before renovation, it was a rundown building where he sheltered in its shadows at night and injected drugs. He now wants to see a performance there.
"I think it is a very commendable effort. For me, what I realised was that these people have many capabilities and can do great things if someone supports them," said Vicky Pasomenou, 59, a retired teacher, who took the tour.
Each guest on the tour is charged a ticket of six euros, of which three euros go to the tour guide as a wage. The tours also have translators for foreign guests who take the tour.
