The End of Antifa?

Despite the bleakness of the situation in Ukraine, at least I was amused by the fact that Nazis were fighting on both sides of the front, killing each other.

Anarchism in the context of civil war

On Friday, the 2nd of May, the House of Trade Unions in Odessa caught on fire. Altogether at least 42 people lost their lives during the clashes in the city, most of them in the fire and the others in streetfights. There is an excellent Russian language, eyewitness account of the events available here. Events began to unfold when armed pro-Russian AntiMaidan fighters attacked a demonstration organised by football hooligans with nationalist sympathies. This attack resulted in lethalities, but soon the pro-Russians were overpowered. They escaped back to their protest camp in the Kulikovo field, but pro-Kiev demonstrators followed and lit the protest camp on fire. The pro-Russians then escaped to the House of the Trade Unions, which soon caught on fire. The fire spreading, is visible in this...

My article “On anarchism and violence” is now banned in Russia

28th of November Lenin district court of the city of Tyumen uphold a request of the prosecutor of the Lenin district on recognition a text I wrote two years ago as “extremist”. My article “on anarchism and violence” was published in issue 33 of Avtonom journal in autumn of 2011, and also in 5th issue of Finnish anarchist journal Väärinajattelija. I published both of these texts with a pseudonyme, as I did not want Russian authorities to pay unsoliticed attention to my person. Now I have translated this text to English, as I would like as many people as possible to make conclusion on justification of the decision of the Lenin district court of Tyumen.

Migrants: “Come out, children, and brush your teeth”

http://www.colta.ru/docs/29793 Morning Visitors The windows of the pricey Finnish supermarket Prisma, in Saint Petersburg’s former Warsaw Station, look out onto a structure with a half-collapsed roof and scruffy walls. People live there, however. They pay rent to the mysterious “proprietor” of the resettled residential building. He probably managed to “come to terms” with local “law enforcement” for a time, but the building is slated for demolition. Early in the morning of August 13, uniformed OMON riot police and plainclothes officers raided the homes of migrant workers in this building on the city’s Obvodny Canal. Human rights activist and sociologist Andrei Yakimov, from the Memorial Anti-Discrimination Center, recounts what happened....

A letter from Alexey Sutuga

Hello everyone!   Yet another period of our remand imprisonment is approaching its end, but I am certain, that we will be kept locked up a few months more, even without any developments whatsoever in the fabricated criminal case against us.     You already know the details of our arrest and the violations connected to it, but now I want to share with you my thoughts regarding the political context surrounding our case.

Enough of people

who are sorry with the fact I got kicked out from Russia. You know nothing about it, you have never been in the same situation and you will never be. I do not want to think about the whole issue, so do not say anything.  Consider a situation, when your feet got torn off in some accident. Would peoples condolences bring your feet back? No they would not.

A trip to the anarchist book fair in Croatia

My friends from Hamburg wrote me that at the end of March, they would be going to the anarchist book fair in Zagreb. There was still space in the car and I decided to offer up my company, and at the same time make a presentation about repressions in Russia. The Swedish “activity money” which I get for studying is only enough to pay for a room and some food.

Exiled

In the far North-West of a once mighty empire, there is a distant province, mostly known due to the sluggishness of its inhabitants. They have still not gotten rid of the statue of a czar, who ruled 150 years ago, in the central square of their capital.

Twice a year, the State deprives the freedom to choose the new generation of young people. Each year from hazing suffered thousands. Someone dies. Authorities publicly stated that during 2010 seriously injured in the army of more than 100 people. This article does not build speculative designs, there is only a strong desire to save young people from bondage. It only calls for a boycott call.

Ultra-Anarchist bigotry, or as a "labor" with no "no labor" struggled.

We live in a world full of myths and false stereotypes that already understand what is truth and what is fiction. The concepts of this world are illusory, the boundaries are blurred, and everyone understands any thing as he pleases. So-called "anarchist community" is, unfortunately, is no exception.
