Robocop Vs The Terminator (Genesis/Mega Drive) Killer No Damage Run

Another pretty hard No Damage Run, but I prevailed and I finally did it!! This run is mainly dedicated to Clonekrizalid, who somehow (I bet you didn't have that intention eh) inspired me to do a No Damage Run on this game. Thanks for the idea!!! Maybe what makes Robocop Vs The Terminator so hard to think of a No Damage is the lots of probabilities of getting hit (bullets everywhere, for example). But after all the practice, and all the effort, I can say that I'm still learning something very deep about the essence of challenging a game: "With the right strategies and the right knowledge, essentially everything can be achieved on a game". With that in mind, I look forward to even greater projects =) . Well, that's enough for the introduction I guess. I'll talk about the run: General tricks: -Camera: Here, the camera plays an important role for some strategies. In simple words, if you jump, stop moving, or change Robocop's direction (from left to right for example), you can force spawns so that they are far enough from Robocop. Also, like at 09:29, you can make only one enemy appear on screen, thus making sure you'll face one at a time. -Forcing spawns: Well, this is a derivation of the camera trick really. If you enter the spawning 'radio' of an enemy, then you'll force it to spawn. This was really useful at the Skynet level, at 56:29, but I used it in different parts of the run too. -Making enemies 'dissappear': Another derivation of the camera trick. In fact, most of my most helpful strategies are based on it haha. This basically consists in crouching so that the camera doesn't show what's upper, therefore making enemies bullets unreachable (they'll shoot but their bullets will never get to you as long as the camera is down enough). You can see it at the first section of the first secret level, or at 33:29. -'Rapid fire': Robocop Vs The Terminator doesn't have an automatic mode in weapons (save for the ED-209 Gun of course), but a 'manual' one. This means that the faster your fingers are, the faster you will shoot. At some parts, it's very important to shoot as fast as possible. Weapons have a limit though: if there are too many bullets at once, you won't shoot anymore. But as soon as one of the bullets dissappear, you'll shoot again. Now, some words about some parts: 04:04 I include the main secret levels of the game, yes. I say 'main' since there's actually a secret level on first stage, which I decided to avoid because I considered it nothing more than a mere skip. It doesn't even have enemies: just lives (useless for the run, as I won't need them anyway). 06:14 Here you can see an example of the camera trick. It's just a 'reference' to my 'old' work though. You see, at first I wasn't going to include secret levels, so the Flamethrower was unnecessary for this stage: with just the Handgun I was fine. But then, when I crossed through this little 'hall of enemies', one bullet would always reach me. So, I found out that if Robocop is close enough to the right side of the screen, the bullet would go towards me but it wouldn't hit me. A pretty good example about how useful the camera trick is haha :D . But anyway, like I said before, with the Flamethrower you don't have to worry about this issue :P . 06:55 Here try to go as fast as possible. There's an enemy that should spawn above you, on one of the buldings, but he won't if you're fast. It is camera that allows this by the way :) . 07:20 Yeah, I like to make things more complicated, specially at first levels ;) . 17:55 Be careful here! If you move more than two times, you'll recieve a nice present from that 'spider thing' (I never really thought about its name haha). 18:57 Don't worry, it's an easy trick, no risks at all! Just make sure you're shooting up and NOT diagonally up. My problem with this tactic was precisely that, but once I found out how this weapon worked, surviving this was a simple task. 23:27 Clone used a similar approach on his No Death Run, so consider this a tribute to him =) . ED-209 isn't as random as it might seem: if you do exactly what I did on the video (staying on the left side of the screen), he'll ALWAYS do the same. He'll attack you in the same times and in the same ways. The only random factor is his rush attack: sometimes he'll do it fast, sometimes he'll take its time, and sometimes he'll even play with it (yeah, he loves to troll you LOL, sometimes he'll start his rush but just for half a second, then he'll continue it after some seconds. But even if he does this, you can still survive damage, although you'll have to be more accurate with your jump, as he'll be closer to you). I do know he doesn't recieve damage for the first missiles by the way :P . I'd like to write more but I already exceeded the characters limit, and I even had to delete some things... *sigh*...
