The 24-hour hometime display at 12 o’clock indicates not only the time at home, but also the course of day and night. It is linked to a blued hour hand in central position, whereas the central, red gold- plated hour and minute hands indicate the local time. While travelling, the hours can be adjusted via the crown – without losing the home- time or the minutes. Inspired by Vasco da Gama’s voyage, the 24-hour hometime display depicts the night sky with the Southern Cross constellation above the Cape of Good Hope.
