The Himba (singular: Omuhimba, plural: Ovahimba) are an ethnic group of about 20,000 to 50,000 people living in northern Namibia, in the Kunene region (formerly Kaokoland). Recently they have built two villages in Kamanjab which have become tourist destinations. They are mostly a semi-nomadic, pastoral people, closely related to the Herero, and speak Otjihimba, a dialect of the Herero language.
The Himba breed cattle and goats. The responsibility for milking the cows lies with the women. Women take care of the children, and one woman will take care of another woman's children. Women tend to perform more labor-intensive work than men do, such as carrying water to the village and building homes. Men handle the political tasks and legal trials.[citation needed]
Members of an extended family typically dwell in a homestead, "a small, circular hamlet of huts and work shelters" that surrounds "an okuruwo (ancestral fire) and a central livestock enclosure." Both the fire and the livestock are closely tied to their belief in ancestor worship, the fire representing ancestral protection and the livestock allowing "proper relations between human and ancestor."

Kemet (Egypt) and saharan North africa - A black civilization 1
Another video designed to show you that the "Nilo-saharan" black man is not only native to "sub-saharan" Africa, However is indigenous to ALL of africa, including the sahara where the indigenous black natives have been outnumbered and systematically erased from HIS-story , via enslavement and colonization. When we examine regions of North africa, like the Ahaggar region of southern Algeria, it show and proves who the indigenous "Saharawi" people truly were, even before the drastic climatic change in the North african region, where most whites claim that no black man is indigenous to.
Extensive, breakthrough Research throughout Kemet (Egypt), Algeria,"Subsaharan" Darfur / Sudan, and zimbabwe, reveals the relation between "subsaharan africa" and the saharan north africa, which changed that mis-conception for many who did not know that we are the orignal north africans, due to the implementation of systematic brainwashing perpetuated throughout the world, as told by the honest white, world renowned african historian, Basil davidson.

Note: At 5:28 of the vid, he states that the ancient egyptians depicted themselves for the most part, as reddish pink. The indigenous "somali" and some oromo people (kushites) are a perfect example of Ancient Afrikan people, that contain a reddish/pinkish "ruddy" tone and aren't mixed though some oromo are known to have mixed with others nevertheless.

CARTA: The Origin of Us -- Christopher Ehret: Relationships of Ancient African Languages
(Visit: http://www.uctv.tv/) CARTA: Behaviorally Modern Humans: The Origin of Us -- Christopher Ehret: Relationships of Ancient African Languages
Almost all of the more than 1,000 African languages spoken today belong to just four families -- Afroasiatic, Niger-Kordofanian, Nilo-Saharan, and Khoesan. As these language families spread out across the continent in the early Holocene, they gradually drove out hundreds of other languages that used to be spoken in Africa. Christopher Ehret (UCLA) reflects on the relationships of these languages to the existing African families and to the language families of the rest of the world, and asks what this information can tell us about human origins and early human history. Series: "CARTA - Center for Academic Research and Training in Anthropogeny" [Science] [Show ID: 25397]

The Mursi Tribe lives in the Lower Omo Valley, with a territory spanning roughly between the Omo River and the Mago River.
The language spoken by the Mursi is the Mursi language, which is a Surmic branch of the Nilo-Saharan language family.
The Mursi people are pastoralists, raising cattle for their meat and milk. In addition, they also grow sorghum, corn, and other crops.
A famous characteristic of the Mursi people is the lip-plates worn by the women - which symbolises the connection between them and the society they live in. Girls have their lips cut at the age of 15 or 16, and bigger and bigger clay plates are added over the years to cause the lips to expand.
Another famous characteristic of the Mursi is the ceremonial duels by young men who fight to impress unmarried girls.
Currently, the Mursi way of life is under threat from land eviction and irrigation projects.
Please do support causes that protect the rights of these indigenous people, and others who live in the Omo Valley of Ethiopia.

The Maasai are a Nilotic group. They inhabit the African Great Lakes region. Nilotes speak Nilo-Saharan language, and came to Southeast Africa by way of South Sudan. Most Nilotes in the area are pastoralists and are famous for their fearsome reputations as warriors and cattle-rustlers.

The Mursi are an ethnic group of Nilo-Saharan origin, and which belong to the Surma group.
Their land is located at the northern end of the Mago national park in the south east of Ethiopia, near the Sudanese border. Their villages are between the Maki and Mago rivers, tributaries of the Omo. They live in a territory that is remote, green and lush. And it is surrounded by mountains to the north and east; by the river Omo to the west; and to the south, by large stretches of tree-covered, dry and dusty savannah.

Charles A. Chepkwony (Kenya) - Magtalena (Kipsigis Benga - Kenya)
The late Charles ‘Oriango’ Arap Chepkwony was a Kenyan musician of the Kipsigis ethnic group.
The Kipsigis are a Nilotic ethnic group inhabiting Kenya. They speak Kipsigis as a mother tongue, which belongs to the Nilo-Saharan language family. Traditionally, they practiced herding but are presently known for cultivating "green gold" tea. They inhabit the highlands of Kericho from Timboroa to the Mara River in the south & in the west from Mau Escarpment to Kebeneti. The Kipsigis are the most populous sub-group of the Kalenjin, itself a subdivision of Nilotes who originated in the South Sudan region. In the 1700s, the Kipsigis migrated to Kericho. By the end of the 18th century, the Kipsigis were living in the Rift Valley province of Kenya.
Chepkwony played electric guitar in the Koilong’et Band with the legendary Kalenjin singer & guitarist Kipchamba arap Tapotuk. He also had his own group, the Kolu Band. They both recorded in Kericho, Kenya in the 1970s with the famous Chandarana Recording Company out of the Chandarana Music stores in Kericho & Nairobi. His songs were great hits in the 70s & 80s. The late Chepkwony’s compositions are still popular among the wider Kalenjin people of Kenya.
The singer & guitarist Kipchamba arap Tapotuk was born Kipkemoi Taguto in 1937, in Bomet, northwest of Nairobi in the Great Rift Valley of Kenya. His parents moved to Mau Narok & settled there for a while. He died in early April 2007.
Kipchamba played the traditional guitar. His career spanned more than half a century, usually playing with his own group, Koilong'et Band with Oriango arap Chepkwony, Francis Lang'at, Moris Mainek, & Sekeri Tallam. Their first recording was in Kisumu. They then moved to Kericho, then to Nairobi to record with Chandarana Music Stores, then back to Kericho.
His songs struck a chord across generations & made immense contributions to the literature 7 the preservation of the culture of the Kalenjin. The songs were heavily laden with the Kalenjin idiom.

The Himba are a tribe of nomadic pastoralists who inhabit the Kaokoland area of Namibia. The Himba are actually descendants of a group of Herero herders who fled into the remote north-west after been displaced by the Nama. The Himba have clung to their traditions and the beautiful Himba women are noted for their intricate hairstyles which and traditional jewellery.
As Himba men and woman wear few clothes apart from a loin cloth or goat skinned mini-skirt, they rub their bodies with red ochre and fat to protect themselves from the sun and also gives their appearance a rich red colour.

The Maasai are a Nilotic ethnic group of semi-nomadic people inhabiting southern Kenya and northern Tanzania. Travel Planet - Ethiopia - Mursi People (Tribe) Lives and Tradition (Culture)
The Mursi (or Mun as they refer to themselves) are a Nilotic pastoralist ethnic group in Ethiopia. They principally reside in the Debub Omo Zone of the Southern Nations, Nationalities, and People's Region, close to the border with South Sudan. According to the 2007 national census, there are 7,500 Mursi, 448 of whom live in urban areas; of the total number, 92.25% live in the Southern Nations, Nationalities, and People's Region (SNNPR).
Surrounded by mountains between the Omo River and its tributary the Mago, the home of the Mursi is one of the most isolated regions of the country. Their neighbors include the Aari, the Banna, the Bodi, the Karo, the Kwegu, the Nyangatom and the Suri. They are grouped together with the Me'en and Suri by the Ethiopian government under the name Surma.
The Mursi speak the Mursi language as a mother tongue. It is classified as Surmic, which is a branch of the Nilo-Saharan language family. Mursi is closely related (over 80% cognate) to Me'en and Suri, as well as Kwegu. According to the 1994 national census, there were 3,163 people who were identified as Mursi in the SNNPR; 3,158 spoke Mursi as their first language, while 31 spoke it as their second language.According to the analytical volume of the 1994 national census, where Mursi was grouped under Me'en, 89.7% were monolingual, and the second languages spoken were Bench (4.2%), Amharic, the official language of Ethiopia (3.5%), and Kafa (1.1%).
Two orthographies for the Mursi language exist. One is the Amharic-based, although the Mursi language is one the Surmic languages with incompatible vowel structures and stressed and unstressed consonants compared to Amharic. The second is the more suitable Latin-based alphabet. The Latin-based orthography was developed by David Turton and Moges Yigezu of Addis Ababa University.
Like many agro-pastoralists in East Africa, the Mursi experience a force greater than themselves, which they call Tumwi. This is usually located in the Sky, although sometimes Tumwi manifests itself as a thing of the sky (ahi a tumwin), such as a rainbow or a bird. The principal religious and ritual office in the society is that of Kômoru, or Priest. This is an inherited office, unlike the more informal political role of the Jalaba. The Priest embodies in his person the well-being of the group as a whole and acts as a means of communication between the community and God (Tumwi), especially when it is threatened by such events as drought, crop pests and disease. His role is characterized by the performance of public rituals to bring rain, to protect men, cattle and crops from disease, to ward off threatened attacks from other tribes, to safeguard the fertility of the soil, of men and of the cattle. Ideally, in order to preserve this link between the people and God, the Priest should not leave Mursiland or even his local group (bhuran). One clan in particular, Komortê, is considered to be, par excellence, the priestly clan, but there are priestly families in two other clans, namely Garikuli and Bumai.
The religion of the Mursi people is classified as Animism, although there is a Serving in Mission Station in the northeastern corner of Mursiland, which provides education, basic medical care and instruction in Christianity.
The Mursi undergo various rites of passage, educational or disciplinary processes. Lip plates are a well known aspect of the Mursi and Surma, who are probably the last groups in Africa amongst whom it is still the norm for women to wear large pottery or wooden discs, or ‘plates,’ in their lower lips. Girls' lips are pierced at the age of 15 or 16. Occasionally lip plates are worn to a dance by unmarried women, and increasingly they are worn to attract tourists in order to earn some extra money. Similar body ornaments are worn by both sexes of the Suyá people, a Brazilian tribe, and by men among the Kayapo.
Ceremonial duelling (thagine), a form of ritualised male violence, is a highly valued and popular activity of Mursi men, especially unmarried men, and a key marker of Mursi identity. Age sets are an important political feature, where men are formed into named "age sets" and pass through a number of "age grades" during the course of their lives; married women have the same age grade status as their husbands.
The African Parks Foundation and government park officials are accused of coercing Mursi into giving up their land within the boundaries of the Omo National Park without compensation. The documents are being used to legalize the boundaries of the park, which African Parks has taken over.
A group called "Native Solutions to Conservation Refugees" says that the documents will make the Mursi 'illegal squatters' on their own land and that a similar fate is befalling the Suri, Dizi, Me'en, and Nyangatom, who also live within the park.

Ethnic groups in Africa number in the thousands, each generally having its own language (or dialect of a language) and culture. The ethnolinguistic groups include various Afro-Asiatic, Indo-European, Khoisan, Niger-Congo and Nilo-Saharan populations.
Overview
For more details on this topic, see Demographics of Africa.
The official population count of the various ethnic groups in Africa has in some instances been controversial because certain groups believe populations are fixed to give other ethnicities numerical superiority (as in the case of Nigeria's Hausa, Fulani, Yoruba and Igbo people). The following ethnic groups number 10 million people or more:

Crocodile Documentary: The Deadly Nile Crocodiles
This is one of the best free animal documentaries you could watch for crocodiles.
The Nile crocodile has a somewhat deserved reputation as a vicious man-eater. The proximity of much of its habitat to people means run-ins are frequent. And its virtually indiscriminate diet means a villager washing clothes by a riverbank might look just as tasty as a migrating wildebeest.
Firm numbers are sketchy, but estimates are that up to 200 people may die each year in the jaws of a Nile crocodile.
Africa's largest crocodile reach a maximum size of about 20 feet (6 meters) and can weigh up to 1,650 pounds (730 kilograms). Average sizes, though, are more in the range of 16 feet (5 meters) and 500 pounds (225 kilograms).
They live throughout sub-Saharan Africa, the Nile Basin, and Madagascar in rivers, freshwater marshes, and mangrove swamps.
The diet of the Nile crocodile is mainly fish, but it will attack almost anything unfortunate enough to cross its path, including zebras, small hippos, porcupines, birds, and other crocodiles. It will also scavenge carrion, and can eat up to half its body weight at a feeding.
One unusual characteristic of this fearsome predator is its caring nature as a parent. Where most reptiles lay their eggs and move on, mother and father Nile crocs ferociously guard their nests until the eggs hatch, and they will often roll the eggs gently in their mouths to help hatching babies emerge.
A documentary film is a nonfictional motion picture intended to document some aspect of reality, primarily for the purposes of instruction or maintaining a historical record. Here is how
documentary is translated into some other languages: ντοκυμαντερ , 记录片, documentaire, dokumentarfilm, dokumentar, ドキュメンタリー, documental, документальный, documentario, belgesel and وثائقي
The word "crocodile" comes from the Ancient Greek κροκόδιλος (crocodilos), "lizard," used in the phrase ho krokódilos tou potamoú, "the lizard of the (Nile) river". There are several variant Greek forms of the word attested, including the later form κροκόδειλος (crocodeilos) found cited in many English reference works. Here is how crocodile is written in some languages: κροκοδειλος, Krokodil, ワニ, cocodrilo, 鳄鱼, timsah and crocodilo

African Languages Genetic Diversity Nilo Saharan Edition #1
Nilo-Saharan languages are explored through means of DNA evidence, archaeological evidence, and anthropological evidence. Like all main African language families Nilo-Saharan originated in Northeast Africa..
And like many African language families it has shared common ancestry and admixture with various different groups. The main component or signature of Nilo-Saharan expansion is Y-lineages A3b2-M13, B2a, E2a lineages and mtDNA lineages L3h, L5.
Nilo-Saharan is the second oldest language family in Africa (behind Khoisan), and is firmly nested in African genetic diversity.

The Nilo-Saharan languages are a proposed family of African languages spoken by some 50 million people, mainly in the upper parts of the Chari and Nile rivers, including historic Nubia, north of where the two tributaries of the Nile meet. The languages extend through 17 nations in the northern half of Africa: from Algeria to Benin in west; from Libya to the Democratic Republic of the Congo in the center; and from Egypt to Tanzania in the east.

Mursi Tribe of the Omo Valley, South Ethiopia

Indigenous Himba Tribes mama no baby carrier

All About - Maasai people (Extended)
All About - Maasai people (Extended)
What is Maasai people?
A documentary report all about Maasai people for the blind and visually impaired or for homework/assignment.
The Maasai are a Nilotic ethnic group of semi-nomadic people inhabiting southern Kenya and northern Tanzania. They are among the best known local populations due to their residence near the many game parks of the African Great Lakes, and their distinctive customs and dress. The Maasai speak Maa (ɔl Maa), a member of the Nilo-Saharan language family that is related to Dinka and Nuer. They are also educated in the official languages of Kenya and Tanzania, Swahili and English. The Maasai population has been reported as numbering 841,622 in Kenya in the 2009 census, compared to 377,089 in the 1989 census.
