Silver Buying and Selling. Do you want to run your own silver business?
The American Silver Eagle is a good investment to make in Silver every year for a silver coin collector, buyer and seller.
To Invest in precious metals or not? The cheapest most efficient way to invest in precious metals is either in silver or copper.
Silver coins dated from 1964 or older Dime and higer or 90% Silver; whereas pennies from 1983 and older or 97 percent copper.
Now you can melt silver, but you can not melt the penny ... how does that make any sense? But you do not want to melt these items, because the Numismatic value is greater than the melt value.
It's pretty easy to start a coin collection for a kid. Have them start with pennies and get them a book to put them in.
Gold buying and selling is another precious metal, but this is not a good learning vehicle for a newbie investor in the coin collection, because you can lose your shirt on a wrong or fake investment.

The Series II, 2015 Australian Chinese Lunar Calendar is the Year of the Goat. The Chinese year, four thousand, seven hundred and thirteen starts on February 19th, 2015.
The goat or sheep is the 8th animal in the Lunar cycle. It is seen as particularly lucky as the number 8 symbolises peace and prosperity in Chinese culture. The goat is also thought to bring harmony and growth.
The obverse features the fourth UK definitive coin portrait by Ian Rank-Broadley, while the reverse design features a family of goats in a field with the Chinese character for goat as well as the inscription Year of the Goat. A maximum of 150 10 kilo coins are produced annually on a mint to order basis.
Struck to a 0.999 fineness, this coin contains 321.51 troy ounces of silver. Both the design and finish of this uncirculated coin are superb.
The monetary denomination of 300 Australian dollars is inscribed on the obverse. The diameter of the coin measures 221 millimeters and the thickness of the coin is 33 millimeters.

The earliest coins of the western world were minted in the kingdom of Lydia in Asia Minor around 600 BCE. The coins of Lydia were made of electrum, which is a naturally occurring alloy of gold and silver, that was available within the territory of Lydia. The concept of coinage, i.e. stamped lumps of metal of a specified weight, quickly spread to adjacent regions, such as Aegina. In these neighbouring regions, inhabited by Greeks, coins were mostly made of silver. Most countries issue a bullion coin which is to be sold at a low premium over the intrinsic metal value. The American version is the Eagle.
Following the success of the Krugerrand, in 1986, America introduced the bullion Eagle coins in gold and silver.
The platinum coins were introduced a year later in 1987. As with all bullion coins the idea was to provide an easy way to purchase in the convenient form of coins.
The modern bullion gold Eagle was based on the historic twenty US dollar Double Eagle which was issued as currency in America between 1849 and 1933.
The design of the new Gold Eagles has remained the same every year. The heraldic eagle behind a shield holds an olive branch in its right talon and arrows in its left. The thirteen five-pointed stars represent the Thirteen Colonies.
Whilst the design has remained consistent there have been a number of special edition Eagles, for example the Four Seasons, the Coloured Eagle, the Hologram, privy marks and special editions such as the Titanic.

Following the success of the Krugerrand, in 1986, America introduced the bullion Eagle coins in gold and silver.
The platinum coins were introduced a year later in 1987. As with all bullion coins the idea was to provide an easy way to purchase in the convenient form of coins.
The modern bullion gold Eagle was based on the historic twenty US dollar Double Eagle which was issued as currency in America between 1849 and 1933.
