Europe's disastrous migrant policy may be its undoing, says UKIP leader Nigel Farage. Irresponsible interventions in Iraq and Libya have produced instability that leads to the crisis, then the EU offers an open door to migrants. Is it any wonder they are streaming in? Meanwhile Hungary is being demonized for hesitating to take in tens of thousands of economic migrants. Also, a coming UK referendum on EU membership could be the final nail in the corrupt EU coffin.

Will Migrant Crisis Kill EU? - With Guest Nigel Farage

Steven Woolfe Visits Calais Unofficial Migrant Squatter Camp 11June2015
Port of Calais, France, Friday 11June2015:
Steven Woolfe, UKIP's Migration Spokesman, is the first British politician to visit the unofficial migrant camp that growing numbers of economic migrants who have travelled across Europe, having successfully completed Mediterranean crossings, are building adjacent to the French authorities ‘official one’. Steven was also the first UK politician to visit that EU funded staging post in Calais in January of this year (see video). These migrants are not seeking political asylum in France. They have not claimed asylum in the first country in Europe in which they landed. They are determined to make it to the UK to work and live and, as the population grows in this squatter camp, their desperation and determination to get there increases. Check out this video blog to get a flavour of what Steven found…

The Death of Germany | European Migrant Crisis
MP3 Download: http://www.fdrpodcasts.com/#/3076/death-by-multiculturalism-call-in-show-september-9th-2015
Question: "I’m a German citizen. Is there a solution to the Immigrant crisis in Germany/Europe - or is history repeating itself and we are on the brink of a new European war?"
The European migrant crisis arose through the rising number of migrant arrivals seeking asylum – a combination of economic migrants and refugees – to the European Union (EU) across the Mediterranean Sea and the Balkans from Africa, the Middle East, and South Asia.
German Chancellor Angela Merkel said that Germany expected over 800,000 asylum seekers to come this year - over four times more than in 2014. European Union member states agreed in July to take in more than 32,000 migrants to “ease the burden” on Italy and Greece, where the largest numbers have arrived. Another eight-thousand should be allocated by the end of the year, according to the European Union's commissioner for migration.

The European Refugee and Migrant Crisis | The Forum at HSPH
Staggering numbers of refugees and migrants are flooding into Europe, fleeing war and political instability and seeking safe haven and economic opportunity. They are risking their lives on perilous journeys into an uncertain future. Who are the refugees and migrants, and what forces are driving them from their homes? What will it take to meet their urgent and immediate needs for food and shelter, and what will be the long-term economic impact of the migration on the cities and countries where the displaced ultimately settle? To understand this crisis, and accompanying public health challenges, this Forum brought together experts in human rights, international relations, and humanitarian response.
Presented October 6, 2015 in collaboration with PRI's The World & WGBH.

My Thoughts…..
A few weeks ago I was in southern Germany—just south of Munich of all places—when I learned about the tens of thousands of refugees from Syria and Africa who were pouring into Germany. At first I was captivated by the harrowing scenes of untold numbers of suffering migrants as depicted on the news. They had made a long and arduous journey to the European continent in efforts to find a better life. We encountered plenty of Syrian migrants while in southern Germany and all of them—based on apparel—looked Muslim; one cannot say for certain.
I don’t blame them for their choice of places to go—while they could have gone to other peaceful African nations or other wealthy Arab countries, they chose Europe as their destination. The continents/countries of Europe (and America—for that matter) are some of the richest places in the world, with a comparatively lower unemployment rate and ample government benefits to help the citizens within their respective populations. Additionally, Europe and America have fairly stable governments; at least compared to countries in Africa and the Middle East, Europe and America have populations that value democracy, freedom of expression, the right to practice a variety of religions and even gay rights. At a rough glance, it appears that Western civilization is built on an entirely different set of principles than what is embraced by those living in Africa and the Middle East.
When I first learned about the influx of migrants into Europe, I thought that this situation would be tightly regulated and that a limited number of individuals having refugee status would be permitted over the German border. I soon learned that not only were a good portion of these refugees “economic migrants” or “opportunity seekers” but there would be far, far more than tens of thousands coming into Germany over the next few years. I learned that Germany would be willing to accept as many as a one million migrants.
While I find this to be a humanitarian crisis that all countries in the world should be contributing to—(why isn’t the most Islamic country in the world stepping up….ahem.. Indonesia???….) I see this more as a disturbing trend that will ultimately change the landscape of Europe forever. I predict that European values will soon be replaced by the values of Muslim migrants. Sure, perhaps this will bring about a temporary (or even long-term) economic boost to Germany (and the aging population here) but I think the consequences of inviting undocumented immigrants from a war torn nation will by far outweigh these economic benefits. We shall see.

People smugglers using Facebook to sell fake Syrian passports to economic migrants
Genuine Syrian refugees angry that people from other countries are taking advantage of their plight to get into Europe
Migrants from north Africa and the Middle East are using fake Syrian passports bought via Facebook to pose as refugees and enter Europe, The Telegraph can disclose.
Thousands of fraudulent documents are in circulation in Turkey and other migration routes into the EU, which the head of Europe’s border police described as a “windfall” for economic migrants.
An undercover Telegraph reporter posing as an Egyptian migrant called a number left on an Arabic language Facebook site and spoke to a people-smuggler who offered to arrange fake Syrian documents for £1,000, with passage from Turkey to Greece costing another £800.

Europe Divided Over Migrant Influx
European Union foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini is urging the 28-nation bloc to quit quarreling over how to relocate the thousands of asylum-seekers
"Our internal unity strengthens our external action or weakens it," she told reporters in the Lithuanian capital, Vilnius.
European Parliament President Martin Schulz said he fears the EU summit will end in discord. He met Monday with French President Francois Holland to try to "avoid widening differences and gaps that are existing already" among EU countries.
Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, Europe's most outspoken migrant foe, told his parliament in Budapest, "They are overrunning us. They're not just banging on the door, they're breaking the door down on top of us."
At Orban's request, the parliament handed the Hungarian army sweeping new authority to control the migrants at the border and police the right to search homes for migrants who have entered the country illegally.
Croatia demanded Greece stop sending refugees on to the rest of Europe, even as it opened a refugee center for 27,000 migrants and promised them help in getting to other countries.
"It is absolutely unacceptable to have Greece emptying its refugee camps and sending people towards Croatia via Macedonia and Serbia," Interior Minister Ranko Ostojic said.
Croatia said the migrants had arrived in its territory after Hungary blocked its border last week. Croatia at first welcomed the migrants, but quickly reversed itself.
Poland's Foreign Minister Grzegorz Schetyna says Europe needs a united plan to address the ongoing refugee crisis, but not one that imposes quotas for individual countries stating how many people they should admit.
In an opinion piece published Monday by the newspaper Politico Europe, Schetyna said the first EU priority should be to seal its borders, and that the bloc should set up refugee reception centers to identify those who are refugees and those who are economic migrants.
"We cannot allow the refugee crisis to divide and antagonize Europe," he wrote. "That is why we view the challenge put before us not in terms of compulsory quotas, which are probably outdated and insufficient by now, but in terms of solidarity."
Schetyna said Poland is not opposed to taking in refugees, but the proposal for EU nations to divide 120,000 people would not fully address the problem.
"Instead we should be jumping into action with a broad plan that tackles the causes of the exodus as well as the symptoms. And we need to strike the right balance between helping those in need and guaranteeing the security of our citizens."
He told reporters Sunday that nations such as Sweden, Germany and Austria have experience taking in migrants, while others in the EU do not.
On Sunday, U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry said the United States would increase the number of refugee visas it issues from 70,000 a year now to 85,000 in 2016 and 100,000 in 2017.
Kerry, speaking in Berlin, called the decision by the Obama administration a "step in keeping with America's best tradition as a land of second chances and a beacon of hope."
He also said the government will explore ways to boost the refugee visa limit beyond the 100,000 ceiling in future years.

The European Migrant Crisis | Migrant crisis splits European countries
The 2015 European migrant crisis[1][2][3][4][5] or European refugee crisis[6][7] arose through the rising number of refugees and economic migrants,[8] from areas such as the Middle East, Africa, the Balkans and South Asia[9], coming to the European Union across the Mediterranean Sea and Southeast Europe,[10][11] and applying for asylum. The majority of the refugees come from Syria, Afghanistan and Eritrea.[12]
The term has been used since April 2015,[13] when at least five boats carrying almost two thousand migrants to Europe sank in the Mediterranean Sea, with a combined death toll estimated at more than 1,200 people.
The shipwrecks took place in a context of ongoing conflicts in several North African and Middle Eastern countries as well as the refusal by several European Union governments to fund the Italian-run rescue option Operation Mare Nostrum, which was replaced by Frontex's Operation Triton in November 2014. On 23 April 2015, EU governments agreed to triple funding for border patrol operations in the Mediterranean so that they would be equal to the previous capabilities of Operation Mare Nostrum, but Amnesty International immediately criticized the EU's decision not "to extend Triton's operational area" to the area previously covered by Mare Nostrum.[14] Some weeks later, the European Union decided to launch a new operation based in Rome, called EU Navfor Med, under the command of the Italian Admiral Enrico Credendino.[15]
According to Eurostat, EU member states received 626,000 asylum applications in 2014, the highest number since the 672,000 applications received in 1992.[16] In 2014, decisions on asylum applications in the EU made at the first instance resulted in more than 160,000 asylum seekers being granted protection status, while a further 23,000 received protection status on appeal. The rate of recognition of asylum applicants was 45% at the first instance and 18% on appeal.[17] Four states – Germany, Sweden, Italy and France– received around two-thirds of the EU's asylum applications and granted almost two-thirds of protection status in 2014; while Sweden, Hungary and Austria were among the top recipients of EU asylum applications per capita, when adjusted for their own populations

Counting the Cost - The deadly business of migrant smuggling
Thousands have died on the perilous journey from Africa to Europe and with every boat that leaves Africa's shores, the situation gets worse. The migrants, who want a better shot at life in Europe, are risking their lives because legal channels just are not open to them.
Their misery creates an illicit market for people smugglers - with millions in profits taken in, often for the ultimate price. It is estimated that the human trafficking industry as a whole produces almost $26bn a year. Smuggling is part of that - though not typically a part which would continue to exploit people in the way human trafficking does.

Lampedusa: Way to Paradise or Hell for African migrants? (RT Documentary)
As the turmoil of revolutions brought economic instability to many African countries, their citizens began to look across the sea, to Europe, for a chance to improve their lives. The Italian island of Lampedusa is often seen as “a gateway” to the EU paradise. Getting there, though, can be sheer hell. The journey is hard to arrange: it’s costly and travelers are at the mercy of boatmen, often unscrupulous traffickers. The waters are treacherous and have already claimed hundreds of lives. The authorities are determined to intercept would-be illegal immigrants before they can reach the EU border. Yet, in spite of all the hardship and danger, des

As well, the impact of recent progress on the international level in developing a comprehensive global migration governance framework are discussed.

Greece has always been a gateway for immigrants searching for what they assumed would be a better life in Europe. But many of those who've crossed illegally into Greece have found that they have traded one bad situation for another. Refugees from war-torn countries like Syria and Afghanistan are finding themselves stuck in a country that is not only battling an economic crisis but is witnessing a rise in anti-immigrant violence, exemplified by the a nationalist political party known as the Golden Dawn.

CIA Insider Interview,
Project Prophecy 2.0 Predicts Terrorist Attacks , Fall of Dollar...
And what many Americans do not know is that their findings were dramatically different than the conclusions reached by the government's 9/11 Commission.
The CIA determined that bets against the stocks of American and United Airlines reached dramatically heightened levels in the days before Al-Qaeda operatives hijacked the three planes that would be used in the attacks on the Twin Towers and Pentagon.
The fourth plane was downed near Shanksville, Pennsylvania after passengers overtook the terrorists.
From their investigation, the CIA came to an important conclusion.
Using the financial markets, they could identify imminent threats to our national security from terrorists, rival nations, and from internal weaknesses lurking inside our economy.
This led to the launch of a sensitive operation called Project Prophecy. And its mission was clear.
Prevent another 9/11. And it may have done just that.
The system built from Project Prophecy proved its accuracy on August 7, 2006 when it detected the warning signs of an impending terrorist attack.
Three days later in London, a plot to blow up 10 U.S. passenger jets was thwarted. And 24 Pakistani extremists were arrested.
However, one of Project Prophecy's architects is now warning that the next attack is about to strike us.
Only this time it is going to come from within.
Jim Rickards is a 3-decade veteran of Wall Street's biggest investment firms and hedge funds. He also helped build the technology infrastructure known as "the brains" of the NASDAQ.

In an exclusive interview with Money Morning, Rickards revealed that he and his team have detected a series of dangerous economic signals that predict a fast-approaching $100 trillion meltdown.
And they believe it will lead to an event more severe than the 1930s.

"Everybody knows we have a dangerous level of debt. Everybody knows the Fed has recklessly printed trillions of dollars. These are secrets to no one," Rickards said in the interview.

Most journeys happen across the Mediterranean Sea - with more than 200,000 crossings and over 3,000 deaths in 2014. But it is a global phenomenon, and it happens in the Gulf of Aden, the Bay of Bengal, and over in the Caribbean Sea too in significant numbers.
Technology is exacerbating the problem. Some of the smugglers are openly advertising their services on Facebook. The Financial Times managed to snap an add before it was removed. A trip to Italy can cost $1,000, but if you are travelling from, say, Sudan to Libya, first of all you pay another $1,700 on top of that. There was a WhatsApp and Viber contact available.
It is a business as well as a human tragedy. So who are the migrants and what are they hoping for? Who benefits from their desperate search for a better life? And what is the cost of migrant smuggling?
Tarek Osman, from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, joins us from London to talk about the cost of migration, the deadly business of peopel smuggling, and whether there is a potential Marshall Plan for North Africa.
Also on Counting the Cost:
Vitali Klitschko: Ukraine's way forward; and Iran's economic revival: how will lifted sanctions benefit Iran's crippled economy?

Yet, in spite of all the hardship and danger, desperate African men and women continue to take their chances. Those who survive and reach the island for which they risked their lives, soon discover that, without papers or knowing the language, the future in a foreign country may be even more uncertain than in their own.

Between Myths and Crises: Rethinking Migration Policies
François Crépeau, United Nations Special Rapporteur on the Human Rights of Migrants, examines the discourses surrounding the level of engagement (political, economic, etc.) of migrants, the role that migrants play in the political landscapes of their adopted countries, and the corresponding impact this has on the rights of the migrants themselves (and the enforcement thereof). As well, the impact of recent progress on the international level in developing a comprehensive global migration governance framework are discussed.
