WARSAW: Conservative opposition challenger Andrzej Duda on Sunday won Poland's presidential run-off, exit polls showed, trumping incumbent centrist Bronislaw Komorowski on promises of generous social spending. An MEP and lawyer with a populist streak, Duda scored 53 percent support ahead of Komorowski, who mustered 47 percent, exit polls showed, giving a key indicator of the national mood ahead of an autumn parliamentary election. Analysts said voters hungry for change in the EU and NATO member state could oust the governing centrist Civic Platform (PO) in this year's parliamentary polls and return the controversial Jaroslaw Kaczynski and his conservative Law and Justice (PiS) party to power after eight years.

Face of Terror: Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) - ISIL Terrorists Everyone who is not us is the enemy and should be branded as infidel. This seems to be the prevailing ideology of the extreme Takfiri terrorists known as the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL). Their aim is said to be the establishment of an Islamic Caliphate. Shias, Christians, Sunnis, Yazidies, and whomsoever who dares to question them or raise his voice of dissent are persecuted under their highly distorted version of Islamic Sharia. Gruesome beheadings, crucifixions and mass executions are openly carried out under their iconic black flag which is more like a modern day equivalent of a Jolly Roger. At times, it seems like their victims are whoever who is unlucky enough to be in their path during their killing sprees. And yet they know how to manipulate social media and have succeeded in brainwashing some to join them in their “fight for justice”. To learn who these people are, what they are fighting for, and who funds them, PRESS TV goes deep into their camps and brings you face to face interviews and exclusive footage. Many of those who were initially infatuated by the group’s promise of justice seem to be horrified and utterly disillusioned today. PRESS TV Documentaries: http://www.presstvdoc.com/

Manufacturing Consent - Noam Chomsky and the Media (1992) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Manufacturing_Consent:_Noam_Chomsky_and_the_Media Manufacturing Consent: Noam Chomsky and the Media (1992) is a documentary film that explores the political life and ideas of Noam Chomsky, a linguist, intellectual, and political activist. Created by two Canadian filmmakers, Mark Achbar and Peter Wintonick, it expands on the ideas of Chomsky's earlier book, Manufacturing Consent: The Political Economy of the Mass Media, which he co-wrote with Edward S. Herman. The film presents and illustrates Chomsky's and Herman's thesis that corporate media, as profit-driven institutions, tend to serve and further the agendas of the interests of dominant, elite groups in the society. A centerpiece of the film is a long examination of the history of The New York Times' coverage of the Indonesian occupation of East Timor, which Chomsky says exemplifies the media's unwillingness to criticize an ally of the elite. Until the release of The Corporation (2003), made by Mark Achbar, Jennifer Abbott and Joel Bakan, it was the most successful feature documentary in Canadian history, played theatrically in over 300 cities around the world; won 22 awards; appeared in more than 50 international film festivals; and was broadcast in over 30 markets. It has also been translated into a dozen languages. Chomsky's response to the film was mixed; in a published conversation with Achbar and several activists, he stated that film simply doesn't communicate his message, leading people to believe that he is the leader of some movement that they should join. In the same conversation, he criticizes The New York Times review of the film, which mistakes his message for being a call for voter organizing rather than media critique.[1]

Israel’s new deputy foreign minister says Tel Aviv owes no apologies for its policies in the occupied Palestinian territories. In a defiant message to the international community, Tzipi Hotovely said Israel has tried too hard to appease the world and must now stand up for itself. She said this land belongs to Israelis and they did not go there to apologize for that. Hotovely signaled that she would try to rally recognition for Israeli settlements in the occupied West Bank. Tel Aviv’s settlement policy has been widely opposed and criticized worldwide as such activities are illegal under international law. Hotovely is among young hard-liners in Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s Likud Party, who support settlement construction and oppose ceding captured land to the Palestinians. WACO, TEXAS — Around 170 members of rival motorcycle gangs were arrested after a shootout at Twin Peaks "breastaurant" in Waco, Texas on Sunday afternoon. The Bandidos, a "Tier 2" gang threat on par with the Bloods, Crips and Aryan Brotherhood, met with other biker gangs in the area, including the Cossacks, in a bid to discuss turf and recruitment issues. As a fight erupted between the gangs, restaurant patrons scampered and hid. Some reportedly hid in the restaurant's freezer. Nine people were killed and 18 injured in the resulting fight. All nine killed belonged to either the Bandidos or the Cossacks gangs. The gang members turned their weapons on responding police officers, who returned fire. According to preliminary findings, four of the nine people killed in Sunday's brawl are said to have been killed by police officers. Police recovered some 100 weapons from the parking lot after the shootout. The approximately 170 biker gang members arrested were held in Waco's Convention Center overnight before being booked into McLennan County Jail. ------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to TomoNews, where we animate the most entertaining news on the internets. Face of Terror: Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) - ISIL Terrorists

Everyone who is not us is the enemy and should be branded as infidel.

Manufacturing Consent - Noam Chomsky and the Media (1992)

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Manufacturing_Consent:_Noam_Chomsky_and_the_Media

Manufacturing Consent: Noam Chomsky and the Media (1992) is a documentary film that explores the political life and ideas of Noam Chomsky, a linguist, intellectual, and political activist. Created by two Canadian filmmakers, Mark Achbar and Peter Wintonick, it expands on the ideas of Chomsky\'s earlier book, Manufacturing Consent: The Political Economy of the Mass Media, which he co-wrote with Edward S. Herman.

The film presents and illustrates Chomsky\'s and Herman\'s thesis that corporate media, as profit-driven institutions, tend to serve and further the agendas of the interests of dominant, elite groups in the society. A centerpiece of the film is a long examination of the history of The New York Times\' coverage of the Indonesian occupation of East Timor, which Chomsky says exemplifies the media\'s unwillingness to criticize an ally of the elite.

Chomsky\'s response to the film was mixed; in a published conversation with Achbar and several activists, he stated that film simply doesn\'t communicate his message, leading people to believe that he is the leader of some movement that they should join.
