THIS GREAT 12IN 45RPM OF SPECIAL FORCES VERY UNIQUE WITH A STYLE OF GUITAR AND GUITAR SOLOS COMPLETELY ORIGINAL, AND A BASSY SOUND LIKE A INFLUENCE OF 60S POGO IN A STYLE THATS OVER THE TOP HARDCORE AT IT’S FINEST. I THOUGHT VERY UNFAIR THAT CAN’T FIND IT ON YOUTUBE AND SEARCH BRINGS MOSTLY ALICE COOPER OR SOMETHING DIFFERENT . GLAD I FOUND THIS SITE TO PLAY GREAT OLD PUNK AND HOPE OTHERS DISCOVER A GREAT BAND.
NOW I DON’T FEEL SO GUILTY NOT PUTTING UP MY S/F LP ON YOUTUBE. AND ANOTHER PHENOMINAL BAND, NO NOT “THE GRADUATES ” FROM THE 60S, YET ITS “THE GRADUATES’ FROM THE EARLY 90S CD THAT I TALKING ABOUT, THAT IS VERY UNDERRATED, YET EASILY FOUND ON AMAZON, IT’S A NEO JAZZY WITH A HARDCORE TWIST, AND SO FAR I NEVER HEARD ANYTHING LIKE THEM. COMPLETELY ORIGINAL AND VERY UNDERATED AND UNKOWN.

      Yop,

You guys rule!!! I’ve never been able to spend much money on rare records (and don’t think I’d do if I had the possibility), but always wanted to listen to all those obscure bands. I’m definitely in love with true DIY music, and I just feel like home here. My favorite discoverys until now: the Raw records, the aussie wild bands (Psycho Surgeons, The Leftovers…), No Threes records…

      Cheers from France!

Just found this site via a recommendation by Mickey Bradley (Undertone and Radio Ulster punk DJ) on his After Midnight show and am very pleased that I have…

“I don’t appreciate Peter Swedenhammer AKA Martin dissing Punk Not Profit when he posts CDR’s on his blog and most of the records he’s sold on Ebay are bootlegs!”

Hey, Pete. I wanted to take this opportunity to make a public apology: I have read several times of this new group in which you play the drums (i mean Pusrad, of course), but I never bothered to listen to it. I had dismissed the whole thing as an attempt by some veterans to have fun playing the music of their salad days, without proposing anything particularly exciting or fresh. God, how I was wrong to think that way! Pusrad are fuckin’ amazingly GREAT!!! It was really a long time since I could get goosebumps listening to a modern HC band. I’m listening to your band almost continuously for about 4 hours! My most sincere congratulations and thanks, Pete. First Raped Teenagers, then the KBD blog and now Pusrad… Someone should build a monument in your honor! :-)

I’ve been trying to find the name of two songs from the cult film Whatever Happened To Susan Jane? from 1982. Both have female vocals. IMDb has no music listed and the end credits list a bunch of bands/songs, but I’ve checked ‘em all except for two that I can’t find any info on. Does anyone know who these bands are and/or what the name of the songs are? First one is a Synthpunk tune, the second sounds like an offbeat Post-Punk/No Wave tune.

    Thanks!
