"Standing There" is a song recorded by English band The Creatures (aka singer Siouxsie Sioux and drummer Budgie). It was co-produced by Mike Hedges and featured Gary Barnacle on saxophone and Peter Thoms on trombone.
It was the lead single of Boomerang, the second album by The Creatures. Melody Maker wrote:
The lyrics are about a strong issue. Budgie commented: "It's about the direct contact you get on the street, it's not just verbal abuse anymore. You see them up ahead and wonder, 'Should I cross over the road or turn around and go back?' They're making you think about regular things, you're walking round with your guard up all the time. You'll always get it if you look a bit different, they go 'Are you a boy or a girl, darling?' I used to get beaten up and pushed through shop windows in Liverpool in 1977, and nothing's changed."
The first B-side, "Divided", was not included on the album. However, additional B-side "Solar Choir" was added to the CD release.
"I Saw Her Standing There" is a song written by Paul McCartney and John Lennon, and is the opening track on the Beatles' debut album, Please Please Me, released in the United Kingdom by Parlophone on 22 March 1963.
In December 1963, Capitol Records released the song in the United States as the B-side on the label's first single by the Beatles, "I Want to Hold Your Hand". While the A-side topped the US Billboard charts for seven weeks starting 18 January 1964, "I Saw Her Standing There" entered the Billboard Hot 100 on 8 February 1964, remaining there for 11 weeks, peaking at #14. The song placed on the Cashbox charts for only one week at #100 on the same day of its Billboard debut. In 2004, "I Saw Her Standing There" was ranked #139 on Rolling Stone's list of the 500 Greatest Songs of All Time.
The song was mainly written by Paul McCartney. Originally titled "Seventeen", the song was apparently conceived by McCartney while driving home from a Beatles' concert in Southport, Lancashire as a modern take on the traditional song "As I Roved Out", a version of "Seventeen Come Sunday" that he had heard in Liverpool in 1960. According to Beatles biographer Mark Lewisohn, McCartney worked out chords and changes for the song on an acoustic guitar, at the family home of his Liverpool friend and fellow musician Rory Storm, on the same night, 22 October 1962. Two days later, McCartney was writing lines for the song during a visit to London with his then-girlfriend Celia Mortimer, who was seventeen at the time herself. The song was completed about a month later at McCartney's Forthlin Road home with Lennon.

The Lookouts was an American punk rock band that existed from 1985 to 1990 on Iron Peak, a remote rural mountain community outside of Laytonville, California, United States. The members were Larry Livermore on guitar and vocals, Kain Kong (Kain Hanschke) on bass and vocals, and Tré Cool on drums and vocals. All three contributed on songwriting.
The band is most famous for being Tré Cool's first band before joining Green Day.
Looking to start a punk band, Livermore had trouble finding members, citing the majority of the local musicians being hippies and "completely uninterested in the music we wanted to make." Eventually, Livermore recruited 14-year-old Kain Hanschke on bass and 12-year-old Frank Edwin "Tré" Wright III on drums. Although he had never before played drums before, young Tré showed an instant affinity for them, likely because, as Livermore said, "he loved making a lot of noise and getting everyone to look at him."
I Saw Her Standing There is a compilation album by the English rock band the Beatles. Available as both a 2-CD and a 2-LP set, it is a collection of their early recordings, featuring songs from the band's Decca audition and performances from the Cavern Club, as well as their first ever radio interview. The album also includes the instrumental track "Cry for a Shadow", the only Beatles composition to be credited to "Harrison/Lennon".
The CD version of the album contains 49 songs, 29 of which are previously unreleased on any official Beatles album.
Disc 1 is mainly compiled from recordings credited to rock and roll singer Tony Sheridan and the Beat Brothers, the name the Beatles used for their early Hamburg recordings as Sheridan's backing group. However, other Sheridan backing groups in the early 1960s also used the Beat Brothers name, and Beatles participation can only be positively confirmed for tracks 1, 7, 10, 12, 13, and 19-21 from that group of recordings as presented on the first CD.

well she was just seventeen
you know whot I mean
and the woy she looked was way beyond compare
so how could I sleep with another
when I saw her standing there
well she looked at me
and I could see that
before too long I'd fall in love with her
she wouldn't kiss with another
when I saw her dancing there
well my prick went zoom
when I crossed that room
and I shaked her tits with no mercy
(oh) we fucked through the night
and we held each other tight
and before too long I fell in love with her
now I'll never screw with another
