A painting from Pablo Picasso set a world record for artwork at auction, selling for $179.4 million on Monday evening. A sculpture by Alberto Giacometti set a record for most expensive sculpture, at $141.3 million. Picasso’s ‘Women of Algiers (Version O)’ and Giacometti's life-size ‘Pointing Man’ were among dozens of masterpieces from the 20th century Christie's offered in a curated sale titled ‘Looking Forward to the Past.’ The Picasso price, $179,365,000, and the Giacometti price, $141,285,000, included the auction house's premium. The buyers elected to remain anonymous. Overall, 34 of 35 lots sold for an auction total of $706 million. Experts say the high sale prices were driven by artworks' investment value and by wealthy collectors seeking out the very best works. The White House dismissed a report by Pulitzer-Prize winning journalist Seymour Hersh as baseless and having too many inaccuracies to check each one. No wonder - it accused Washington of lying about Osama bin Laden's assassination. He claims Pakistan knew about the plan to kill bin Laden - it wasn't a unilateral US mission. The number one terrorist was in fact a Pakistani prisoner at Abbottabad since 2006. A former Pakistani intelligence official told the US where he was - in exchange for 25 million dollars. Some huge accusations about something the whole American population took as national victory. Hersh was accused of fanning conspiracies. Afshin Rattansi, host of Going Underground, is In the Now. Thai authorities dug up the decomposed bodies of six suspected Rohingya migrants at the Malaysian-Thai border on Wednesday. The decomposed remains of four women and two men were discovered at a rubber plantation in Thailand’s Songkhla province. The bodies are thought to be the bodies of Rohingya Muslims who traveled from western Myanmar via the sea. Villagers living nearby the site told Reuters that the migrants are from nearby trafficking camps. Thousands of Rohingya migrants travel to Thailand every year with the help of smugglers who often inflict horrific abuse on them. Thai police speculate that the migrants died from malnutrition or disease. Wednesday’s discovery is around four kilometres from the site where 26 bodies were found last weekend. ------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to TomoNews, where we animate the most entertaining news on the internets. Greek politicians say they are hopeful that Eurozone ministers will recognise the fiscal progress that the country has made. Eurozone finance ministers are meeting in Brussels on Monday to continue negotiations on a deal to release a portion of billions of bailout funds. Greek ministers says they will honour a payment of €750m (£544m, $834m) to the IMF due on Tuesday. No breakthrough is expected at Monday's talks, with many issues unresolved. Greece's left-wing government has said it will not break anti-austerity electoral promises, something that has put the country at odds with European creditors. Greece has until June to agree a new reform deal with its creditors. Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras is reported to have told his cabinet that Europe needs to acknowledge the economic reforms that Greece has made. "We want a clear confirmation of the progress that has been made," he told a meeting on Sunday, Greece's Ana state news agency reported. Eurozone ministers are not hopeful of a deal being struck. "We have made progress, but we are not very close to an agreement," Eurogroup chair Jeroen Dijsselbloem told the Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera. "It will surely not be reached at the Eurogroup meeting on Monday," he said. MORE VIDEOS: http://reblop.com/raw-footage-baltimore-riots-looting-protesters-over-freddy-gray-death-erupts-in-chaos/ Several thousand protesters have converged in the US city of Baltimore to protest over the death of 25-year-old black man Freddie Gray while in police custody. Gray died on Sunday after sustaining multiple injuries which included three fractures in his neck vertebrae, a smashed voicebox and the severing of 80 per cent of his spine from his neck. Gray had been in police custody for a week, having been arrested in a high-crime neighbourhood after he made eye contact with police and fled. After he was caught he was found to be carrying a knife. Melissa Ealey, Gray’s cousin, told Al Jazeera that no crime perpetrated could warrant such abuse. “There is no reason the police had to conduct themselves in a manner to where…it cost him his life," Ealey said. "I can understand breaking the law is wrong but the way they apprehended him and the things they did were completely against protocol and just inhumane as a whole." 'National epidemic' of violence Signs in hand, with slogans such as "Jail Killer Police" and "Unite Here," demonstrators from different racial backgrounds flooded two city blocks and marched to city hall, where the crowd overtook a plaza. March organiser and lawyer Malik Shabazz described violence against by American police officers as "a national epidemic against black men". Al Jazeera's Shihab Rattansi, who was reporting from Baltimore's city hall, said the marchers had converged on the city centre and were now headed towards Baltimore's Oriole Park Major League Baseball stadium at Camden Yards where Baltimore's Orioles were later set to take on the Boston Red Sox. Rattansi said police had attended the protest but were keeping a safe distance, as the protesters called for sweeping national policy changes on how cases of police brutality should be dealt with. Their demands included the establishment of an independent civilian review board in every city to review the cases, immediate suspension without pay for police officers accused of violence and protection for whistleblowers so they could freely speak about police brutality without retaliation. "Speaker after speakers keep saying here, when a genocide is happening against you, why would you ask the people committing it what is going on," our reporter said. Stafford Sutton, an activist who attended the march, said changes to federal policies were required to defuse anger after a spate of recent cases of police brutality. "I've seen a lot of individuals who have been done wrong. A federal mandate needs to be brought down. We have to go through the process, we have to follow it through and go to Washington," Sutton said. Demonstrators have flooded the streets of Baltimore almost every day since Gray's death, although Saturday's rally was the largest. Gray's death has been compared to those of other unarmed black men who died at the hands of police in New York City and Ferguson, Missouri, and has intensified a national debate over police treatment of African-Americans. The US Department of Justice is conducting a separate probe into Gray's death. A wake for Gray is scheduled for Sunday, with his funeral to be held on Monday.

Post-Fight Lawsuits Against Mayweather & Pacquiao -- Millions On The Line!

The White House dismissed a report by Pulitzer-Prize winning journalist Seymour Hersh as baseless and having too many inaccuracies to check each one. No wonder - it accused Washington of lying about Osama bin Laden\'s assassination. He claims Pakistan knew about the plan to kill bin Laden - it wasn\'t a unilateral US mission.

No breakthrough is expected at Monday\'s talks, with many issues unresolved.
Greece\'s left-wing government has said it will not break anti-austerity electoral promises, something that has put the country at odds with European creditors.
Greece has until June to agree a new reform deal with its creditors.
Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras is reported to have told his cabinet that Europe needs to acknowledge the economic reforms that Greece has made.

Several thousand protesters have converged in the US city of Baltimore to protest over the death of 25-year-old black man Freddie Gray while in police custody.
“There is no reason the police had to conduct themselves in a manner to where…it cost him his life,\
