Exclusive HD video interview with Air Macau's Chairman of the Board and President of Executive Committee, Mr. Zheng Yan. In this interview, filmed at the Global Tourism Economy Forum 2015 (GTEF) in Macau on 12 October, we discuss Air Macau's route and fleet expansion plans. We talk about whether the airline has any plans to establish a luxury private jet company similar to Qatar Executive in the Middle East, or perhaps even go the other way and establish a low cost airline. We discuss ancillary revenue and what Air Macau is doing to increase its revenue from things such as charging for certain seat selection, premium adds on etc. We also talk about Air Macau's plans for the region and whether it has been considering moving from Suvarnabhumi Airport in the south of Bangkok to the older Don Mueang Airport which is towards the north of Bangkok. All this and much, much more in the interview.

After 466 years, Portugal handed back the city of Macau to China. It is small and museum-like, a fine example of colonial Portugal on the South China Sea.
The Fortaleza Do Monte is a typical Portuguese fortified complex strategically located on a hill above the old cathedral in the heart of the city. Its many old canons and mighty fortress walls are reminders of those times when invasion was a constant threat.
The old centre of the city is the triangular Largo Do Senado, Senate Square. Its wonderful colonial buildings with their light-colored facades were built at the end of the 19th century and completely renovated in the final decade of the 20th.
Macau's largest Buddhist temple, Templo de Kun Iam Tong, dates back 400 years to the Ming Dynasty when its original foundations were built. Beyond its main gate, just off a busy street in the north of the city, is a peaceful oasis of silence and contemplation, a mystic place in which stone lions, golden Buddhas and all who visit are surrounded by serene, aromatic wisps of smoke.
The beautiful Jardim de Lou Lim Ioc Park is situated in the northern less touristy business district of the city. It was designed in the 19th century by a wealthy Chinese trader, Lou Kau. This marvelous oasis is an idyllic setting with a lotus pond, rocks, grottos and waterfalls.
Excursions are available on restored motorized junks that leave from the City's harbor several times a day.
Taipa is the larger of the two islands that belong to Macau. The tangled and narrow alleys in the centre of Vila da Taipa abound with rural character and Portuguese street signs are painted on azulejos. The island's shops and light-colored houses would be equally at home in Portugal.
Although the Macau of today has much contemporary flair, it continues to enjoy a rich colonial inheritance that is well worth seeing.

Macau, considered by many to be the Las Vegas of the Far East, is only a short ferry ride away from Hong Kong, China. When we decided to visit we thought we'd spend most of our time checking out casino; however, what we discovered was a city with a unique colonial history (Portuguese) and some of the best street food in all of Asia. In terms of attractions, most people who come to visit Macau may only come for the gambling. That's a shame. Attractions such as Senado Square and the ruins of Saint Paul Cathedral await those who explore its old city quarters. With architecture that seems as though it belongs more in Portugal or Brazil you'll find this city is east meets west in many regards. For those with adventurous taste buds regional culinary delights such as Macau egg tarts, pork chop buns and almond cookie are on plentiful display. We simply couldn't stop eating Macanese street delights during our brief stay in Macao. The following is a top attractions travel guide offering a snapshot of the best things to do in Macau in terms of cuisine and travel:

https://www.expedia.com/Hong-Kong.d178263.Destination-Travel-Guides
Hong Kong, a former British territory, is one of the most densely populated places in China and in the world. You’ll find quiet neighborhoods full of temples and a dazzling skyline loaded with shopping and dining opportunities.
Your Hong Kong tour must include visits to the many religious sites scattered around the city, where incense wafts from shrines and monasteries take over entire hillsides. You’ll have a marvelous time shopping in tax-free Hong Kong, where you’ll be able to find clothing, jewelry, furniture, and everything else under the sun.
Don’t forget about Tsim Sha Tsui Promenade, which overlooks the stunning Victoria Harbor. From there, your Hong Kong sightseeing may detour to Central, the city’s main business district, which looks like something out of a sci-fi film. The observation deck atop the International Commerce Centre will show you fantastic views of the city.
Hong Kong isn’t all cityscape, of course; there are many gardens, parks, and other green spaces for you to explore. You’ll also find beaches, national parks, and quiet islands for you to indulge in natural beauty and serenity. This city truly has everything.

https://www.expedia.com/Seoul.d178308.Destination-Travel-Guides
Watch our video highlighting some of the best things to do in Seoul, but beware—it just might cause you to start planning your next Korean vacation!
Join us in Seoul, the capital of South Korea. This intriguing destination boasts an innovative, forward-thinking culture, but it’s also steeped in history. While traveling around this northwestern city, you’ll come across massive shopping complexes just on the outskirts of ancient temples and palaces.
Take a trip back in time at the Changdeokgung Palace, which was built in 1405 as one of the Five Grand Palaces established by the Joseon Dynasty. Though all the city’s palaces were burned down during the 1592 Japanese invasion, Changdeokgung was the first to be reconstructed. Venture around Injeongjeon, the throne hall, and step across the Geumcheongyo Bridge, which is considered one of the city’s oldest bridges. Deoksugung is another one of the Five Grand Palaces, and it’s unique in that it incorporates a Western-style garden. Don’t miss the other royal grounds, including Changgyeonggung Palace, Gyeongbokgung Palace, and Unhyeongung Palace.
If you’re really looking to get a sense of the more modern, Seoul tourism scene, prepare to shop ’til you drop! This city takes shopping seriously, as you can find stores and markets scattered all around town. COEX Mall is Korea’s largest underground shopping mall, while Namdaemun Market features hundreds of vendors selling almost anything you can imagine, from kimchi to kitchenware. In the mood for some late-night shopping? Discover some of the best finds in fashion at Dongdaemun Market, which is open all through the night, closing around 7 a.m.
Continue your Seoul city tour by making your way to the theaters to witness some marvelous performances. These theaters know how to put on a show–Korean martial artists, dazzling dancers, and talented musicians take the stage at the Korea House, Jeongdong Theater, and Seoul Arts Center. Next, visit the Gyeongbokgung Palace to catch the opening and closing of the royal palace gates and the royal guard changing, or check out the Bosingak daily bell-ringing ceremony.
Whether you decide to join guided Seoul tours or prefer to venture around the Korean destination on your own terms, you won’t be disappointed. From royal grounds to theater productions, the entertainment is endless. Press play on our travel guide video to get inspiration for your next trip to South Korea.

wn.com/Seoul City Tour A Guide To Things To Do In Seoul
https://www.expedia.com/Seoul.d178308.Destination-Travel-Guides
The Macau we know today has built up world class tourism industry with a wide choice of hotels, resorts, shopping malls, restaurants and casinos. Macau is a Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China, and, like Hong Kong, benefits from the principle of "one country, two systems".
Here's your essential Macau Travel Guide this June 2015 – Dino and Julio of Soler tour us around the best places to eat, drink, shop, and play in Macau.
Explore Macau anyway you want! Be it on a bus, on a train, or on foot - the choice is yours! Macau is rich in attractions that should not be missed. But for a memorable sightseeing, board a rickshaw and be on your way to a day of exploration.
While in Macau, make sure you also check out these places and attractions:
* Fisherman's Wharf: https://youtu.be/Fa-_JVsXWTU
Set on the waterfront, next to the Hong Kong-Macau ferry, Macau's first theme park is split into a number of themed areas, recreating architecture from Old England, Rome, 18th century Portugal and others.
* The House of Dancing Water: https://youtu.be/cx4FgV2gEwg
A never-been-seen-before production that combines theater, dance, gymnastic artistry and high-performance diving, all of which push the physical boundaries of human performance and which leave audiences amazed and astounded.
* Guincho a Galera: https://youtu.be/SqMV9Tsb4-w
Guincho a Galera is the first international branch of Michelin-starred restaurant, Fortaleza do Guincho in Portugal. This restaurant offers authentic Portuguese cuisine where delicacies are prepared in the most skillful and innovative style.
* Choi Heong Yuen Bakery: https://youtu.be/8AiToU9BFDg
Choi Heong Yuen Bakery is one of Macau's best-known bakery chains, specializing in traditional pastries, particularly the almond cookie.
If you're in town this month, don't miss the following events:
* Chick Corea & Herbie Hancock — 5 June
* Cesar Milan LIVE – Love your Dogs Tour 2015 — 6 June
* Macau International Dragon Boat Races - 13, 14, and 20 June
* Disney’s Beauty and the Beast — 13 - 26 June

http://www.expedia.com/Dubai-Emirate.d1079.Destination-Travel-Guides
Come to Dubai, the ancient City of Gold, for your next vacation.
Modernity and antiquity collide in this vibrant city. Shop at the same spice market locals have been visiting for generations, then visit the stores in the Gold Souk, a jewelry-centered traditional marketplace. For a more modern shopping experience, go to the Dubai Mall, home to over 1200 stores, an underwater zoo, and KidZania®, a “city” where children can roleplay various careers.
To soak up some of the legendary Dubai sunshine, simply step outside. Take in the view of the city from the observation deck of the Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world. Continue your Dubai tour by wandering through the exotic buildings and resorts, or visit some of the public beaches. If you’d like to try something a little different and don’t mind paying a small fee, you can also attend local hotel beaches even if you aren’t staying there.
You can’t finish your Dubai sightseeing without a trip into the desert itself. Ride a camel, go sandboarding, or just stand out on the dunes and marvel at the beauty of it all.
Visit our Dubai travel guide page for more information or to plan your next vacation!

Man/Eng/Nat
Air Macau has begun indirect flights from Taiwan into China via the Portuguese enclave.
The Macau-based airline is the only one presently allowed to fly between Taiwan and the Chinese mainland.
But Taiwanese airlines are eager to carve out their share of this potentially lucrative market in the near future.
Air Macau's transit flights between Taiwan and China began on the same day as the official inauguration of Macau's first international airport.
There had been a growing demand in both countries for such a service.
Air Macau was finally able to take off after months of negotiations between the Macau Aviation Authority, the China Aviation Administration and the Taiwan Airline Association.
The airline is understandably happy that it currently holds a monopoly over the lucrative China/Taiwan flight market, even if it is an indirect route.
SOUNDBITE:
"With the linkage of Taiwan/Macau three times a day from here to Taipei, we expect more traffic flow from Taiwan to come to Macau and onward continue the journey to Beijing, Shanghai and subsequently to Xiamen."
SUPER CAPTION: NG Kian Wah, Chief Executive Officer Air Macau
But other airlines, such as Taiwan-based Eva Air, are keen to add similar - and potentially lucrative- routes to their flight schedules.
SOUNDBITE: (In Mandarin)
"Currently, we only have direct flights from Taipei into Macau, but no flights into the Mainland. But we're communicating with Chinese officials in order to have special permission to establish routes into China in the near future."
SUPER CAPTION: Sam Yan, General Manager Eva Air
While the Chinese government has received Eva Air's applications for air routes, they are unlikely to respond before March's presidential election in Taiwan.
Chinese authorities, who regard Taiwan as a breakaway province, have been cautious about boosting Taiwan's international image.
Eva Airlines will launch its first direct flights into Hong Kong early next year. That route is currently dominated by Cathay Pacific airlines.
The Chinese foreign ministry recently said it would take control over air routes in and out of Hong Kong after Chinese takeover in 1997.
But Eva Air officials say they are not worried as negotiations with the mainland's authorities have so far been cordial.
Both Air Macau and Eva Air seem confident their new and potential future business expansion will stay on track despite any changes in the local political climate.

Manny Pacquiao’s aura of invincibility and dominance in the sport of boxing continues after his outstanding performance in Macau, China. Chris Algieri did provide Pacquiao with a bit of a puzzle to solve in the early rounds, but eventually Pacquiao made the necessary adjustments to completely outclass his opponent.
From the opening bell Algieri remained tentative of avoiding any of Pacquiao’s power shots. He constantly used lateral movement, and Pacquiao had a difficult time cutting off the ring. Algieri was trying to get in a rhythm but accidentally slipped and the referee counted it as a knockdown. Algieri seemed flustered, but this was just the start of bad things to come. Leg 4 (Macau, China → South Africa)
During the break at the Pit Stop, all teams were moved from A Ma Cultural Village to the Pit Start at Ruins of St. Paul's, teams instructing to head to Port Elizabeth, South Africa. Upon arriving in Port Elizabeth, they had to search a marked vehicle from the airport car park and find a hidden clue inside the windscreen. Telling them to head to Camdeboo National Park outside of the city and they must find The Valley of Desolation to locate a "sheer-cliff face" to find their next clue.
The clue turned out to be the Detour, a choice between Smash and Bash. Both Detours would require teams to drive to Kragga Kamma Game Park. In Smash, from a distance, teams would have to throw a traditional South African club called a knobkierie at four vases suspended in the air. Once all four vases were shattered, teams would receive their next clue. In Bash, teams had to build a large giraffe feeder, only using the tools and materials provided. If the feeder had been assembled according to the park ranger's preference, he would hand the teams their next clue.
The post-Detour clues told there is a U-Turn on this leg, and their next clue. Tyler & Nathan chose to U-Turn Richard & Joey. The clue was eventually discovered a Roadblock, the teams asking "Who wants to take the plunge?". One team member would have to perform and endure the world's largest bungee jump off the Bloukrans Bridge at a height of 216 metres (709 ft). After the team member completed the traumatizing fall, teams would receive their next clue. The clue sending teams to a healer in Nomathamsanqa where they had to collect a goat from a pen and transport it to a witch doctor known as a sangoma to receive their next clue, directing them to the Pit Stop at Addo Elephant National Park.
