The story begins with unemployed Manu (Ajay Devgan), from Bhagalpur in search of money to finance his new business as he has lost his earlier job at a jute mill. On his quest, he visits Neeru (Aishwarya Rai) in Calcutta, to whom he was engaged six years ago. During the rainy evening, the couple reminisce about their former love and how each ended up in their current situation.
They may be headed nowhere... but they're havin' a helluva time gettin' there.

William 'Weasel' Weasler: Like I was saying the other day, only steal cars you know how to drive.
T Bone: I'm serious, Weasel. You better ease up and lay off before I cloud up and rain all over you.::William 'Weasel' Weasler: I hear a lot of thunder, but I don't feel a drop.
Plot
A few years from now, Earth will have the first contact with an alien civilisation. These aliens, known as Newcomers, slowly begin to be integrated into human society after years of quarantine but are victims of a new type of discrimination. When the first Newcomer police officer, Sam Francisco is assigned his new partner, he is given Matthew Sykes , a mildly racist veteran, the animosity between them soon gives way to respect as they investigate the Newcomer underworld, and especially Newcomer leader William Harcourt.

Prepare Yourself.
Los Angeles, 1991. They have come to Earth to live among us. They've learned the language, taken jobs, and tried to fit in. But there's something about them we don't know.
[Commenting on a "human" condom]::Det. Samuel 'George' Francisco: And that fits?::Det. Sgt. Matthew Sykes: Well... Yeah, it's rubber. It stretches.::Det. Samuel 'George' Francisco: And still it fits?
Cassandra: Tell me the truth. Have you ever... made it with one of us?::Det. Sgt. Matthew Sykes: No... unless I got drunk and somebody didn't tell me.::Cassandra: Mmm. A virgin! I find that very arousing. You sure you haven't?::Det. Sgt. Matthew Sykes: Um... there's lots of things I haven't done; that's not real high on my list. No... you know... don't take it personally. I'm a bigot.
[after Sykes makes fun of George's name]::Det. Samuel 'George' Francisco: It is like your name... Sykes. I'm sure it doesn't bother you at all that it sounds like "ss'ai k'ss," two words in my language which mean "excrement" and "cranium." [pause] Shithead.
[Translating for Newcomer 'Porter' to Sykes]::Det. Samuel 'George' Francisco: Your mother mates out of season.
Det. Samuel 'George' Francisco: You humans are very curious to us. You invite us to live among you in an atmosphere of equality that we've never known before. You give us ownership of our own lives for the first time and you ask no more of us than you do of yourselves. I hope you understand how special your world is, how unique a people you humans are. Which is why it is all the more painful and confusing to us that so few of you seem capable of living up to the ideals you set for yourselves.
Det. Sgt. Matthew Sykes: What is it?::Det. Samuel 'George' Francisco: Nothing.::Det. Sgt. Matthew Sykes: Come on, it's not nothing! When you talked to that coroner with that request it looked like you were about to shit peach pits... and it's not nothing now! Don't lie to me, George, you're real bad at it. That slag in there didn't die from just bullet wounds, am I right? Am I right? Tell me! You tell me and you tell me now. NOW!::Det. Samuel 'George' Francisco: The drug is called ja-bru-kha. It is a potent narcotic!::Det. Sgt. Matthew Sykes: How potent?::Det. Samuel 'George' Francisco: More potent than any human drug you can imagine. The controllers regulated it, we would receive small amounts for our work in the mines.::Det. Sgt. Matthew Sykes: You? You were on this shit?::Det. Samuel 'George' Francisco: Yes! We all were! We were engineered as slave laborers. It was our only means of pleasure allowed! The harder you worked the more you got, the more you got the harder you worked. Thousands of my people died, I lost my best friend. It is a nightmare! I will not let it happen again.::Det. Sgt. Matthew Sykes: Ok. You know, it was simple... I mean, all you had to do is tell me. I mean, why couldn't you let me know?::Det. Samuel 'George' Francisco: Your people don't know about this part of our past and they cannot know it, it would threaten our entire existence here.
[Matt and George are showing each other pictures of their respective children]::Det. Samuel 'George' Francisco: This is my son, Richard. He's four years old. We named him after your former president, Richard Nixon.::Det. Sgt. Matthew Sykes: [beat] George, from now on, tell people that you named him after the director Richard Burton. Just trust me on this.
Det. Samuel 'George' Francisco: If the drug is here, we must destroy it!
Det. Sgt. Matthew Sykes: [looking at a pistol target] That is pitiful! That is goddamn pitiful! How long you been shootin'? What are you going to do if you catch a perp running out of a liquor store, wave your written exam scores at him?
Det. Sgt. Matthew Sykes: Tell me the joke.::Det. Samuel 'George' Francisco: Stop me if you have heard it before. Why did the chicken cross the road?::Det. Sgt. Matthew Sykes: [coughs uncontrollably] I've heard it.::Det. Samuel 'George' Francisco: It's a good joke.
Raindrops bang like rocks
On my windowpane
I thought they'd never stop
Never see the sun again
And I've been sleeping in
For way too long
Mmm, wake up, enough's enough
Yeah, those days are gone
I'm gonna throw out my raincoat
Mmm, I hope it's all right
Gonna go find me a rainbow
And hang it up in the sky
Blues pass me by
You left me a wreck
Just like a rusty trombone
But some things, they just sting
Enough to move you along, hey
I'm gonna throw out my raincoat
Mmm, I hope it's all right
Gonna go find me a rainbow
And hang it up in the sky
Blues pass me by
Gonna go find me a rainbow
And hang it up in the sky
Blues, oh
I'm not gonna wait around
I'm throwin' this old thing out, mmm, oh
I'm gonna throw out my raincoat
Mmm, I hope it's all right
Gonna go find me a rainbow
And hang it up in the sky
Blues, blues, blues pass me by
Don't touch the rain without a raincoat
[First Verse]
Now what's up with my homies out there?
Bitches straight carryin' diseases and you don't seem to care
Don't control yourself, yeah, that's what y'all do
Wantin' more cat than my muthafuckin' dogs do
And my dogs want cat like a cat shelter, all in heat
For that piece of meat
I guess it's normal, but this is drastic
Niggas are too damned cheap to buy the rubber that's in the plastic
With the Trojan man sittin' on the box
Here's a joke, they're made for you fertile ass folks
Cuz when you're unprotected and you nut
Nine months later got a gut bout to bust
And you're bitin' your fingernails cuz you can't take care of it
That's why I'm makin' you aware of it
So I'm tellin' you chumps now, you better wack it
Or buy the jacket in a package
Chorus:
This might seem like a scapegoat,
But Domino just wants to let the homies know,
When you're thinkin' about diggin' with a deep stroke,
Don't touch the rain without a raincoat
[Second Verse]
Now where your minds at homies? Cuz the old days have passed
You need a lot more than a shot in your ass
To cure this shit of today, like gano, syphillis
And that crazy ass murderer
A-I-D, to the S, take a guess
And with a bare dick and you might take a rest
Called forever
Cuz there's no cure for the bitch
Now you, now you out quick
Cuz you tho\ught with your dick
But uh, who's to blame? Say your name
And I hope it felt good the last time that you came
Cuz bare dicks and clits don't mix unless you're married
And nowadays even that shits hit
Cuz a bitch got a thing about fillin' that hole
So they good for the whole stroll
And she'll fuck your best friend with the quickness
So grab a five spot and buy some business
Chorus (2x)
[Third Verse]
Trick or treat, but it ain't halloween
Talkin' about kitty-kat if you know what I mean
And all you brothers that's thinkin' that you free from it
You better start peepin' it
Before you eatin' it
I know raincoats are cheap and might bust G
But soon as it pops, stop killin' them guts please!
Just because it might feel good, don't mean it's real good
Catch a disease, you'll be lucky if you heal good
And watch hoochies cuz they seem
To let you get 'em pregnant just to tie your ass in
And remember when you met her you was a big spender
Now she takin' money out your ass like a vendin' machine
And this is because she had a little child
And now you so stressed out, you wanna jump in the Nile
But, if you're careless and can't cope here's a term
Throw on a raincoat or keep your sperm in your worm
I'm looking for a friend to hold the door
It's cold outside when you don't know where to find
A sheltered place, secluded from the race
Of this old life
When I walked out in the downpour with no raincoat
I was soaked down to the bone from head to toe
Without my raincoat, anywhere I may go
I get wet somehow
I found that friend and He's with me till the end
And He's promised me that He won't forsake His own
And when a promise never ends
It can only mean one thing, it's from above
And when I walk out in the downpour with my raincoat
After all is said and done, He's still the one
With my raincoat, anywhere I may go
I know, I'm all right
Yeah, yeah much better than[Incomprehensible]
And when I walk out in the downpour with my raincoat
And after all is said and done, He's still the one
With my raincoat, anywhere we may go
I know, I'm all right
I'm all right
I'm all right
I'm all right
I'm standing outside waiting around without you
Trying hard to concentrate on the new
I know you feel it, you want it, you seek the truth
Standing outside waiting around without you
Had a dream of a place on another plane
Where there is no light, and there is no shame
You'd say the sweetest things right out of the blue
The light is fading, and the clouds are rolling through
The only thing I need is
I wanna wear your raincoat,
I wanna wear your yellow raincoat
Cause the sky is coming down
And I'm lying on the ground
I wanna wear your raincoat
Can I please wear your yellow raincoat?
I drift along in a sea of doubt
I can hear your name as the tide rolls out
And I never thought I'd live my life without you
I'm standing outside waiting around without you
Standing outside breaking out of the blue
The light is fading, and the clouds are rolling through
The only thing I need is
I wanna wear your raincoat,
I wanna wear your yellow raincoat
Cause the sky is coming down
And I'm lying on the ground
I wanna wear your raincoat
Can I please wear your yellow raincoat?
Hold out your hands
Hold out your hands
Hold out your hands, hold out your hands
For me
I wanna wear your raincoat,
I wanna wear your yellow raincoat
Cause the sky is coming down
And I'm lying on the ground
I wanna wear your raincoat
Can I please wear your yellow raincoat?
Save yourself tonight
Hell is getting closer,
don't leave no doors open
Will you save me with a raincoat?
Keeping all levels safe
And when dying feels ok,
I'll leave with a safe way
Will you save me with a raincoat?
Keep me away from the gate
Could you please go home
and leave me alone with my pain
Do I scare you when running away
Left alone in the dark where no angels stay
Caught in prison called time
Will you leave or wait from my sign?
And all I ever do is drain
All those memories who scare in the autumn rain
To bad I have a mortal spine
