Turkish people, also known as the "Turks" (Turkish: singular: Türk, plural: Türkler), are a nation and ethnic group primarily living in Turkey, and in the former lands of the Ottoman Empire where Turkish minorities have been established in the Balkans, the island of Cyprus, the Levant, Meskhetia, and North Africa. The Turkish minorities are the second largest ethnic groups in Bulgaria and Cyprus. In addition, due to modern migration, a Turkish diaspora has been established, particularly in Western Europe (see Turks in Europe), where large communities have been formed in Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom. There are also Turkish communities living in Australia, the former Soviet Union and the United States.
Although Turkic languages may have been spoken as early as 600 BC, the name "Turk" first appeared in Chinese sources and derives from the term "Tujue" (T’u-chue), meaning "strong" or "powerful", which was used in the 6th century C.E. to refer to the Göktürks.

Roderick David "Rod" Stewart, CBE (born 10 January 1945) is a British singer-songwriter, born and raised in North London, England, and currently residing in Epping. He is of Scottish and English ancestry.
With his distinctive raspy singing voice, Stewart came to prominence in the late 1960s and early 1970s with The Jeff Beck Group and then Faces. He launched his solo career in 1969 with his debut album An Old Raincoat Won't Ever Let You Down (US: The Rod Stewart Album). His work with The Jeff Beck Group and Faces influenced heavy metal genres.
With his career in its fifth decade, Stewart has sold over 100 million records worldwide, making him one of the best selling artists of all time. In the UK, he has had six consecutive number one albums, and his tally of 62 hit singles include 31 that reached the top 10, six of which gained the number one position. He has had 16 top ten singles in the U.S, with four of these reaching number one on the Billboard Hot 100. In 2008, Billboard magazine ranked him the 17th most successful artist on the "The Billboard Hot 100 Top All-Time Artists". He was voted at #33 in Q Magazine's list of the top 100 Greatest Singers of all time, and #59 on Rolling Stone 100 Greatest Singers of all time. As a solo artist, Stewart was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1994, and was inducted a second time, as a member of Faces, in April 2012.

John Ellis "Jeb" Bush (born February 11, 1953) is an American politician who served as the 43rd Governor of Florida from 1999 to 2007. He is a prominent member of the Bush family: the second son of former President George H. W. Bush and former First Lady Barbara Bush; the younger brother of former President George W. Bush; and the older brother of Neil Bush, Marvin Bush, and Dorothy Bush Koch.
Jeb Bush was born in Midland, Texas. When he was six years old, the family relocated to Houston, Texas.
Following in the footsteps of older brother, George, Jeb Bush attended high school at the private Massachusetts boarding school, Phillips Academy Andover. At the age of 17, he taught English as a second language in León, Guanajuato, Mexico, as part of Phillips Academy's student exchange program. While in Mexico, he met wife, Columba Garnica Gallo.
In 1973, Bush graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Texas at Austin with a BA in Latin American Studies. He completed his coursework in two and a half years with generally excellent grades. After considering a career in Hollywood, he instead chose to pursue politics.

Plot
During the Prussian army's invasion to Poland in 1793, a young Polish nobleman Jakub is saved from the imprisonment by a stranger who wants in return to obtain a list of Jakub's fellow conspirators. Following his mysterious saviour across the country, Jakub sees the overall chaos and moral corruption including his father's death and his girlfriend's betrayal. Being apparently demented by what he has seen, he commits a number of seemingly motiveless and gory killings.

A prolonged war with a stronger Iranian military would take several years and result in mass casualties that would mirror the conflict in Vietnam. It's also assumed that the U.S. allies, especially those in mainland Europe, that are anti-Iran would not side with the U.S. as they have always preferred diplomacy over war when dealing with Iran. Relations with Russia, which are already shaky after sanctions over the Ukrainian conflict, would weaken if not completely dissolve.
Best case scenario the United States would be weakened further by yet another pre-emptive war within the Middle East. Worst case scenario an alienated and isolated U.S. could face sanctions or outright war with another major power."

Conservative: 50 Shades Of Grey Will Bring The Apocolypse

"Fox News contributor Robert Jeffress believes that gay marriage and the film release of Fifty Shades of Greyare signs that the apocalypse is nearing. Jeffress said "the Bible prophesized that in the End Times, there will be a lack of moral restraint. And I think we're seeing that manifested in so many different ways."
Jeffress is an evangelical pastor with a long history of incendiary remarks. He is an anti-gay bigot who believes gays lead a "miserable lifestyle," homosexuality is linked to pedophilia, and gay people are promiscuous and engaged in "filthy behavior," and "brainwashing activit[ies]." He's compared Mormonism to a cult, called Islam an "evil, evil, religion," referred to Islam, Hinduism and Buddhism as "false religions," andsaid the Catholic Church is a "counterfeit religion" that rose from a "cult-like, pagan religion."
Despite Jeffress' controversial history, cable news programs frequently host him and Fox News employs him as a contributor.
During a February 10 appearance on Fox News Radio's The Alan Colmes Show, Jeffress said he saw "radical Islam," gay marriage, and Fifty Shades of Grey as signs of the coming apocalypse."

"While the world watched the historic landing of a space probe on a comet 310 million miles from Earth, many were distracted by what was happening closer to home.
Rosetta Project scientist Matt Taylor caused a firestorm with his choice of fashion during the European Space Agency's live stream of Wednesday's Philae landing. Taylor initially sported a shirt featuring women in lingerie, possibly not the wisest choice of attire given all of the discussion surrounding the challenges for women in the tech and science fields.
"The fact that a scientist of any gender, but especially a man, would think it's a good idea to wear a shirt covered in naked women while representing a major space agency and a significant research project is appalling; and clearly, he had no idea that he was engaging in exactly the kind of casual sexism that drives women away from STEM," S.E. Smith wrote in an article on XOJane."

As of now the group has not found any substantial evidence that their witch-hunt was successful."

At a fundraiser in Florida today, the former Florida governor admitted that he’s on the paleo diet, a new diet based on the idea that you should eat like early humans did before the invention of farming and animal husbandry. That means avoiding refined sugar, breads and beans and focusing more on eating meat and non-starchy vegetables.
“I’m really appreciative of the support that you’ve given me and I hope that you pray for my family, pray for me,” Bush joked. “Continue to pray that I stick on this paleo diet where my pants fall down. Perpetually starving to death apparently is the source of losing weight.”

"For the past few days, peaceful Turkish citizens have been protesting the demolition of Taksim Gezi Park, one of the few green areas left in the center of Istanbul. The plan by the Erdogan-run AKP government is to build a large shopping center instead, benefitting his own interests and filling his own pockets.
What started with a mere 100 protestors turned into tens of thousands over the course of a few days. People camped out in the park, sang songs, read books, danced. I was there yesterday and it was heartwarming.
Prime Minister Erdogan made a public announcement two days ago stating, 'We have made up our minds', and that nothing will stop his plans to destroy the park.
He subsequently ordered his police forces to attack protestors in the park using water cannons and tear gas without warning in the early hours of the morning. This has been happening for the past two days, and continues as I write these words. Tents were burned, innocent citizens were dragged away and people had tear gas sprayed directly into their faces.
Innocent people are being attacked, injured and hospitalized. "For the past few days, peaceful Turkish citizens have been protesting the demolition of Taksim Gezi Park, one of the few green areas left in the center of Istanbul. The plan by the Erdogan-run AKP government is to build a large shopping center instead, benefitting his own interests and filling his own pockets.
What started with a mere 100 protestors turned into tens of thousands over the course of a few days. People camped out in the park, sang songs, read books, danced. I was there yesterday and it was heartwarming.
Prime Minister Erdogan made a public announcement two days ago stating, 'We have made up our minds', and that nothing will stop his plans to destroy the park.
He subsequently ordered his police forces to attack protestors in the park using water cannons and tear gas without warning in the early hours of the morning. This has been happening for the past two days, and continues as I write these words. Tents were burned, innocent citizens were dragged away and people had tear gas sprayed directly into their faces.
Innocent people are being attacked, injured and hospitalized. A Rare Interview: Jamie Tarabay Meets Turkish Scholar Fethullah Gulen

Fethullah Gulen is one of the most important Muslim clerics alive today.
Throughout his life, Gulen served as a model for interfaith dialogue and encouraged ideas to overcome ignorance, prejudice and misunderstanding.
But, one hardly ever sees the world renown scholar in public.
Since 1999, he has been in a self-imposed exile in the Poconos.
Major media networks and journalists have tried to interview him but were denied.
It's a rare opportunity that Australian-born journalist Jamie Tarabay managed to secure.
Five years ago, Jamie embarked on a project on 'Muslims in America' and heard about Gulen's international movement.
"The idea that he's been living here and never really introduced himself to Americans I thought was so strange. But I'm glad to have the opportunity to do it," she said.
Her persistence paid off. She is one of the first to have a face-to-face interview with the activist.
"I was extremely happy to have finally gotten the interview. He was very generous. Very welcoming. I was served tea and he was telling me to drink it. I never for a second felt unwelcome there," she said.
In response to a question about the role of women in Islam, Gulen told Jamie that Muslim women contributed to society. The wives of the Prophet Muhammad even taught men.
"It's always very encouraging when you hear a leader who is so influential say things that are extremely moderate and encouraging of women. You don't hear spiritual leaders of movements say those sort of things," she said.
Jamie discussed Turkey's political situation with Gulen. "Turkey needs to make use of certain dynamics to take on a more active role in the region. Good relationships and influence depend on love, respect and good will and collaborating around mutually agreeable goals," Gulen said.
She even had an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at Gulen's simple lifestyle.
"His living quarters are extremely modest. It's a little bed - not even a double bed. He's not married, he doesn't have a family but he has a lot of people around him because they love him."
Gulen's lectures have inspired business and community leaders to open 135 schools in 26 states.
"They're academically focused. They're not religious schools. It's really about building intellectuals, intelligent and business leaders for the future," Jamie said.
Up until now, Gulen remained a mystery to the public and only appeared on video webcasts. Jamie's interview has served as a bridge for Americans to become acquainted with the reclusive scholar.

Turkish Airlines is the first one creating a virtual walk around through their famous CIP Istanbul Lounge at the airport. Not only it is the first time this is done in a real environment it is also the first time that this is done in a living environment.
We looked behind the scenes and took a closer look at the production of a real Oculus Rift video. With this step Turkish Airlines shows his pioneering spirit in marking and creating a new customer experience.
We are looking forward to see the finished “movie which will be first shown at this year’s ITB in Berlin beginning at the 4th of March ” at the Turkish Airlines booth (Halle 3.2, Stand 201).

If U.S. Bombed Iran What Would Actually Happen?

"Many in the United States government seems to be foaming at the mouth to go to war with Iran including Republican Sen. Tom Cotton who believes that bombing nuclear facilities in Iran would take days with no need for boots on the ground. But what would an actual military campaign look like? Some have come forward to say that it is unlikely that airstrikes alone would end the Middle Eastern country's nuclear facilities and that an actual full scale war would be needed, with the after math possibly being worst than the mess that Iraq became. A prolonged war with a stronger Iranian military would take several years and result in mass casualties that would mirror the conflict in Vietnam. It's also assumed that the U.S. allies, especially those in mainland Europe, that are anti-Iran would not side with the U.S. as they have always preferred diplomacy over war when dealing with Iran. Relations with Russia, which are already shaky after sanctions over the Ukrainian conflict, would weaken if not completely dissolve. Best case scenario the United States would be weakened further by yet another pre-emptive war within the Middle East. Worst case scenario an alienated and isolated U.S. could face sanctions or outright war with another major power." Should the U.S. start a war with Iran? "Fox News contributor Robert Jeffress believes that gay marriage and the film release of Fifty Shades of Greyare signs that the apocalypse is nearing. Jeffress said "the Bible prophesized that in the End Times, there will be a lack of moral restraint. And I think we're seeing that manifested in so many different ways." Jeffress is an evangelical pastor with a long history of incendiary remarks. He is an anti-gay bigot who believes gays lead a "miserable lifestyle," homosexuality is linked to pedophilia, and gay people are promiscuous and engaged in "filthy behavior," and "brainwashing activit[ies]." He's compared Mormonism to a cult, called Islam an "evil, evil, religion," referred to Islam, Hinduism and Buddhism as "false religions," andsaid the Catholic Church is a "counterfeit religion" that rose from a "cult-like, pagan religion." Despite Jeffress' controversial history, cable news programs frequently host him and Fox News employs him as a contributor. - Not for Broadcasting - Contact: Rob.R@gmx.de Day 4, Report on Istiklal Street, Interviews in English, Friday, 31 May 2013, around 1 PM; Background: "For the past few days, peaceful Turkish citizens have been protesting the demolition of Taksim Gezi Park, one of the few green areas left in the center of Istanbul. The plan by the Erdogan-run AKP government is to build a large shopping center instead, benefitting his own interests and filling his own pockets. What started with a mere 100 protestors turned into tens of thousands over the course of a few days. People camped out in the park, sang songs, read books, danced. I was there yesterday and it was heartwarming. Prime Minister Erdogan made a public announcement two days ago stating, 'We have made up our minds', and that nothing will stop his plans to destroy the park. He subsequently ordered his police forces to attack protestors in the park using water cannons and tear gas without warning in the early hours of the morning. This has been happening for the past two days, and continues as I write these words. Tents were burned, innocent citizens were dragged away and people had tear gas sprayed directly into their faces. Innocent people are being attacked, injured and hospitalized. There are unofficial reports of one person being dead with his ID confiscated by officials (an eerie replay of the May 1 attacks when an innocent young girl was put into a coma due to tear gas attacks. This girl was later labeled by the government as a terrorist) This has become a matter about more than just saving trees. This is an 'I can do whatever I damn well want', fascist mentality that not only supresses but attacks its own people. To make matters worse, media channels are being censored so as not to display the news. #direngeziparki is now the 2nd worldwide trending topic on Twitter. As our friends overseas, we need your help.
