Raising the flag..

In the region of Castle of Edinburgh in Scotland, where the day before the city with 21 cannon shots participated in celebrating 60 years of Queen Elizabeth to the throne, anarchists raised the red and black flag replacing the british one.

The building which housed the flag got the head of the Bank of Scotland that seems the difficulty of the task because of draconian security measures.

Εκτός Ελέγχου (Out Of Control) formed in 1984 in Thessaloniki, Greece, but they were originally appeared in 1982 under the name Συν Και Πλην (Plus And Minus). At the beginning they were playing covers of bands like The Sex Pistols, The Clash, The Ramones etc.

Here we have the songs from their one and only LP, that were recorded in 1990. Finally, the album released in 1994.

Crass - There Is No Authority But Yourself

There Is No Authority But Yourself is a Dutch film directed by Alexander Oey documenting the history of Crass. The film features archive footage of the band and interviews with former members Steve Ignorant, Penny Rimbaud and Gee Vaucher. As well as reflecting on the band's past the film focusses on their current activities.

The title of the film is derived from the final lines of the Crass album "Yes Sir, I Will"; "You must learn to live with your own conscience, your own morality, your own decision, your own self. You alone can do it. There is no authority but yourself."

Χωρίς Περιδέραιο - Χορός Για Μουσική (1985)

Something different this time. Χωρίς Περιδέραιο (Without Necklace) were formed as a trio back in 1983 in Athens, Greece. Their sound was basically new wave/synth-pop, but the sharp riffs with the fast tempo and the subversive lyrics gave them electro-punk character.

They performed live along with bands like Magic De Spell, Yell-O-Yell, Cpt. Nefos, Λευκή Συμφωνία and more. The audience wasn't ready for that progressive, new sound and people couldn't understand their allegorical lyrics, so the whole thing was difficult for them.

This is their only LP "Χορός Για Μουσική" (Dancing For Music). It was originally released in 1985 on Λαιστρυγόνα label in a limited edition of 350 copies. It caused real illegally to the record collectors abroad in the coming decades. It was re-mastered and re-released on Ειρκτή label in 500 hand-numbered copies and they sold-out quickly.

Don't let this fuckin' music-gem from the past be buried. Get it!

Κοινωνικά Απόβλητα; (Social Outcasts) formed in 1988 in Athens, Greece and their music was hardcore/punk, along the lines of greek proto-crust bands of that period.

They performed live along with bands like Chaos U.K., Χαοτική Απειλή (Chaotic Threat), Ξεχασμένη Προφητεία (Forgotten Prophecy) and many others. They are well-known from the split LP that they released with the legendary synth-punk band Αντί..., before they split-up in 1990.

Eitilop Pots were from Rotterdam, Holland. Their name is an anagram of "Stop Politie", that means "Stop Police".

Here we have their split EP from 1989, that was released in limited edition of 990 copies.
