The world’s biggest DJ and Grammy nominated producer Armin van Buuren has joined forces with multiplatinum singer-songwriter, rapper and producer Mr. Probz to create ‘Another You’, the first single from Armin’s forthcoming full-length studio album, to be released this fall.
Armin and Mr. Probz met last year and instantly hit it off, ensuring an outstanding collaboration and delivering a stunning record to honour their brand new joint effort.
‘Another You’ instantly grabs the listener with the first strummed chords until Mr. Probz’s irresistible vocal enters with its uniquely gravelly timbre. Armin worked the song’s hooks and impeccably timed builds and drops to leave the listener no choice other than to throw both hands firmly in the air.
A mere three days after the exclusive two-week window on Spotify commenced, ‘Another You’ has been played more than 1 million times on the streaming service. The single has been in great demand, also topping the DMC World Magazine Buzz Chart (Night) and being featured in countless playlists all over the world.
The exclusive period on Spotify will end on May 8th, as the single by Armin van Buuren with Mr. Probz will be officially released on that date.
In Italy, the single will be released on Do It Yourself, on May 8th, including the awe-inspiring Mark Sixma Remix.
For more than 15 years, the Grammy nominated Dutchman has been living to the rhythm of his own, international success. His 5 times number one position in the critically acclaimed DJ Mag’s Top 100 poll has been the result of his loyalty to fans, his creativity in the studio, the perseverance with which he hosts his weekly radio show A State of Trance and the energy he transcends to the crowds in front of him. Despite the heavy pressure that comes along with being one of the world’s most popular DJ, Armin has always kept his focus on the music. And that’s exactly what keeps him going.
Even a basic list of recent successes reads like a lifetime of work and the landmarks just keep coming. Aside from Armin’s A State of Trance broadcasting to over 40 FM stations as well as satellite and internet radio, having more than 20 million listeners every week, his Podcast gets more than 50,000 downloads per week. His singles, albums and compilations reached high chart positions all across the globe, with single ‘Save My Night’ being the official anthem to Heineken’s ‘Dance More, Drink Slow’ campaign and ‘This Is What It Feels Like’ ending up with a Grammy Award nomination. The music video for his single ‘In and Out of Love’ featuring Sharon den Adel has received more than 140 million views, making it one of the most viewed videos on YouTube. Radio show A State of Trance received the IDMA for ‘Best Mix Radio Show’ for 6 years in a row. Furthermore, Armin was awarded for ‘Best Podcast’, became the most popular International DJ at Australia's Sony inthemix DJ Poll, received the ‘Gouden Harp’, the highest distinction a Dutch artist can get. On Queensday 2011, Queen (now Princess) Beatrix of The Netherlands named Armin Officer in the Order of Oranje-Nassau. The Royal Distinction was handed to him after his set in hometown Leiden by mayor Lenferink of Leiden.
Armin van Buuren looks back on the success of his ‘76’ (2003), ‘Shivers’ (2005), ‘Imagine’ (2008), ‘Mirage’ (2010) and ‘Intense’ albums. May 2013 marked the release of Armin’s latest artist album, ‘Intense’, now nominated for the Dutch Edison Pop Award on ‘Best Dance Album’. The follow-up to his ‘Mirage’ album features collaborations with Israeli violinist Miri Ben-Ari, Australian duo NERVO and singers by the likes of Trevor Guthrie, Emma Hewitt, Laura Jansen, Fiora and more. ‘This Is What It Feels Like’ ft. Trevor Guthrie, the first single of the album, was nominated for the Grammy award on ‘Best Dance Recordings’, as well as receiving a nomination for the Canadian Juno Awards. It became a worldwide hit, taking A-list rotation on radio stations all across the world and reaching gold, silver, double platinum and platinum in countries such as Canada, the Netherlands, the UK, Australia and Italy.
