Volkan Demirel (born 27 October 1981) is a Turkish goalkeeper who plays for the Süper Lig club Fenerbahçe and is also the goalkeeper for the Turkey national football team.
Demirel was the starting goalkeeper of the Fenerbahçe side that reached the quarter-finals of the 2007–08 UEFA Champions League. He was also the starting goalkeeper of the Turkey side that reached the semi-finals of UEFA Euro 2008. Demirel married Miss Belgium 2009 Zeynep Sever on 21 September 2010.
Demirel was born in Fatih, İstanbul. He joined Kartalspor as an 18-year old in 1999 and became the starting goalkeeper the following year. Demirel played in 51 matches over the next two seasons, earning a transfer to Fenerbahçe at the start of the 2002 season.
Originally backing up Rüştü Reçber and Recep Biler, Demirel made his debut for the club on 26 April 2003. After Reçber's transfer to Barcelona, Demirel competed in 19 league matches, splitting time with Biler (who played in 14 matches). He also featured in three Turkish Cup matches and won the 2003-4 Süper Lig title with Fenerbahçe.
Felipe Melo de Carvalho (born 26 June 1983) is a Brazilian footballer who currently plays as a midfielder for Turkish football club Galatasaray S.K.
Melo is a Brazilian international and played in the 2010 FIFA World Cup. He arrived in Europe in 2005 and had played for top division clubs likes Fiorentina, UD Almería, Racing de Santander, and RCD Mallorca. He also holds Spanish nationality since the 2007–08 season, thus not consumed by the non-EU registration quota for new signing from abroad of Serie A.
Felipe Melo began his career for Flamengo, where he made 24 appearances and scored three goals in his two-season spell with the club. Following impressive performances with Flamengo, Melo transferred to Cruzeiro in the summer of 2003.
Melo transferred to Cruzeiro in the summer of 2003, but would remain for just one season. In his single season with Cruziero, Melo did manage to make 31 league appearances, also scoring two goals. Following yet another impressive season in Brazil, he was sold to Grêmio.
Burak Yılmaz (born 15 July 1985 in Antalya, Turkey) is a Turkish footballer who plays for Trabzonspor and the Turkish national team as a striker.
He started his professional career in Antalyaspor where he contributed to the success of the team's promotion to the Süper Lig after finishing second in Division 1 in the 2005–06 season. In 70 league appearances for the club he scored 17 goals.
Burak was transferred to Beşiktaş in the summer of 2006. In his first season he scored 5 goals in 30 league appearances, but his performance took a downfall during the 2007-08 season. In January 2008 he was sold to Manisaspor as part of an exchange deal.
Burak transferred from Beşiktaş in a part-exchange deal with Manisaspor, for which Manisaspor gave Filip Holosko in 2007-08 January transfer window. Burak scored a hat-trick against Denizlispor in the first game for his new club and again caught the attention of bigger clubs by scoring 9 goals in 16 league appearances.
On 29 June 2008 Burak was sold to Fenerbahçe and was presented at a news conference wearing the number 7 shirt. On the contrary to his "promising youngster" image in Manisaspor and Beşiktaş, he had been a disappointment during his spell in Fenerbahçe, only playing 6 games and failing to score in the 2008-09 season.
Sabri Sarıoğlu (born July 26, 1984 in Çarşamba), or Sabri Reyiz is a Turkish footballer currently playing for Galatasaray Istanbul as a midfielder. Sabri is a right winger who can also play as a wingback, right back and striker.
Sabri Reyiz has spent his entire career with Galatasaray so far, having risen through the ranks of the Galatasaray youth team. He was first called up to feature for the first team, at the age of 17, in the 2001–02 season under Mircea Lucescu. He was in Galatasaray's official squad list for UEFA Champions League 2001-02. 2001-02 season also marked the first time he made his way into Galatasaray bench for an official match, but he didn't play a single minute. He made his competitive debut for the first team in the Turkısh Super League match the following season, in 2002–03, against Trabzonspor on 4 May 2003, in the side managed by Fatih Terim.
He marked his 100th league appearance for Galatasaray on 10 December 2006 against Bursaspor, by scoring a goal after fantastic[citation needed] build up play from his own half of the pitch.
