Bobby Short invites Jack to play the piano and accompanies Jack toward the end of his too-short time at the piano. I believe this is New Year's Eve 1989-1990 - please correct me if I'm wrong. Jack's wife Felicia Farr is sitting next to him. Jack died in 2001 at 76 years old. Bobby Short died in 2005 at age 80. They are both greatly missed. Does anyone know who the woman is at 4:29? She looks so familiar. Thanks to anyone who can tell me who she is.

Jack Lemmon!!!

Here's another rare episode that includes the original commercials, thanks to a second, unedited copy provided by epaddon. I preserved as much as possible of my original copy due to its somewhat higher a/v quality. Of special interest is the restored material starting around 27:15. There's an extra bit of John giving his spiel instructing viewers on how to contact the show. Being able to restore the old commercials is nice enough, but here we have almost a minute of extra pure, undiluted John Charles Daly, actual new WML content that's never been seen on GSN! The Odd Couple 1968 The Odd Couple 1968 The Odd Couple 1968 The Odd Couple 1968 Genres: Romance, Comedy Cast: Jack Lemmon, Walter Matthau, Iris Adrian, Matty Alou, Bill Baldwin, John C. Becher, Ted Beniades, Billie Bird, Ken Boyer, Heywood Hale Broun and others Summary: Two friends try sharing an apartment, but their ideas of housekeeping and lifestyles are as different as night and day. Felix Ungar, a neurotic, neat freak newswriter (a photographer in the television series), is thrown out by his wife, and moves in with his friend Oscar Madison, a slovenly sportswriter. Despite Oscar's problems – careless spending, excessive gambling, a poorly kept house filled with spoiled food – he seems to enjoy life. Felix, however, seems utterly incapable of enjoying anything and only finds purpose in pointing out his own and other people's mistakes and foibles. Even when he tries to do so in a gentle and constructive way, his corrections and suggestions prove extremely annoying to those around him. Oscar, his closest friend, feels compelled to throw him out after only a brief time together, though he quickly realizes that Felix has had a positive effect on him. The play and the film both spell Felix's name Ungar, while the television series spells it Unger. 2015 CBS sitcom Main article: The Odd Couple (2015 TV series) In December 2013, it was announced that Matthew Perry will be starring, co-writing, and executive-producing a remake of The Odd Couple. The multi-camera comedy will debut in midseason 2015 on CBS.[22] Perry will play Oscar Madison, a known slob; the role of his clean-freak roomie Felix Unger will be portrayed by Thomas Lennon. The show will also star Wendell Pierce as Teddy, their cop friend (a stand-in for Murray), and Georgia King and Lindsay Sloane as Katie and Emily (taking over for the Pigeon sisters). PR Newswire 2015-03-20John Uhler "Jack" Lemmon III (February 8, 1925 – June 27, 2001) was an American actor and musician. He starred in more than 60 films including Some Like It Hot, The Apartment, Mister Roberts (for which he won the 1955 Best Supporting Actor Academy Award), Days of Wine and Roses, The Great Race, Irma la Douce, The Odd Couple, Save the Tiger (for which he won the 1973 Best Actor Academy Award), The Out-of-Towners, The China Syndrome, Missing (for which he won 'Best Actor' at the 1982 Cannes Film Festival), Glengarry Glen Ross, Grumpy Old Men and Grumpier Old Men.
Lemmon was born in an elevator[citation needed] at Newton-Wellesley Hospital in Newton, Massachusetts, a suburb of Boston. He was the only child of Mildred Burgess LaRue (née Noel) and John Uhler Lemmon, Jr., who was the president of a doughnut company. Lemmon attended John Ward Elementary School in Newton and The Rivers School in Weston, Massachusetts. He had stated that he knew he wanted to be an actor from the age of eight. Lemmon attended Phillips Academy (Class of 1943) and Harvard University (Class of 1947), where he lived in Adams House and was an active member of several Drama Clubs - becoming president of the Hasty Pudding Club - as well as a member of the Delphic Club for Gentleman, a final club at Harvard. After Harvard, Lemmon joined the Navy, receiving V-12 training and serving as an ensign. On being discharged, he took up acting professionally, working on radio, television and Broadway. He studied acting under coach Uta Hagen. He also became enamored of the piano and learned to play it on his own. He could also play the harmonica, organ, and the double bass.
I'm here waiting
Anticipating
Life without you
Been up drinking
But I'm still thinking
About you
Yes it's true
Every day
In every way
What can a girl do
Without you
I keep falling in love
And you're breaking my heart
I know that it's wrong
But where do I start?
It's the end of the day
I'm here alone
And you're so far away
Two years later
I still don't hate her
What can I do (?)
About you (c'est tres beau une femme qui pleure)
You're what I want
You're what I need
Don't ever change
Honey please
You took me on
Don't give me up
I'm overcome (?)
It's just enough
I couldn't live
Without you there
It means a lot
This sweet affair
I'll make a wish
About you and me
We'll feel like this
For eternity
I keep falling in love
And you're breaking my heart
I know that it's wrong
But where do I start?
It's the end of the day
I'm here alone
