In general, designer-makers, artists, writers are encouraged to continue in their development and training throughout their careers. There are many private and government bodies such as the Arts Council that can offer support. Overall, to work in an industry, which may only offer part-time or freelance work, needs resilience and perseverance. The type of personality that can work well and confidently in an independent capacity can work well in the Arts and Creative industries.
