Newsflash: Trust in the news media is at an all time low. That's according to the latest Gallup Poll. Falling from a 55% level of trust in 1999, the trust level has plummeted to a paltry 40% of people trusting the mass media in 2014. Wow! In only 15 years we have dropped from the majority of Americans believing the news, to the point where today two and a half times more people distrust versus trust the news media. I would hope that our videos have contributed some to this rightfully place distrust. But think about the implications of this downward spiral. The news is supposed to be an objective source of truth. So, if people are not receiving the truth from the news, where are they supposed to get it? They certainly don't have the time to contact both sides of all breaking news stories. And even if they got through, who would they believe? So, clearly, there is a need for truthful sources of news. How else can a society survive, based on lies and half truths? Perhaps the best source for truth is The Internet, in both text and video news and commentary formats. We work hard reporting news stories truthfully--especially in 3 categories of news: Unreported news, under reported news and falsely reported news. Now don't get me wrong, there is still plenty of disinformation on the Internet and you need to be discerning but it's a wonderful source of truth if you can rightfully separate the dross from the gold. But before we end this video and allow you to go back to scouring the Internet for truth, let's take a quick look at what people groups the Gallup Poll says trust the media most and least. The majority of Democrats trust the major news media. Of course this should not shock a discerning person like you. For years we have seen most major news outlets become more bias and much more liberal. But what is remarkable is that even Democrats trust the news less than before. In 2005 70% of Democrats trusted the news. Today it is 55%. In 1998 the Gallup Poll found 52% of Republicans trusting the major news media. In 2014 that trust level has sunk to a mere 27%. And moving from distrust to bias, the poll shows 71% of Republicans believing the major news media is too liberal. What I can't understand is why even 29% of Republicans don't see the bias. Ah, the eye candy of the handsome hosts and lovely ladies with their nice smiles... The Kool-Aide tastes so sweet. So where do we go from here? We continue to BE the news media. Search the Internet for stories you believe are true and of vital interest and forward those stories to friends and enemies alike. And perhaps the next time someone asks them where they get their trusted news, they'll say... From you! And according to recent census data, about 40 million Americans work for companies with 10,000 or more employees. So how can Americans turn this around? Carolyn Feeney President of Agency Distribution, Prudential recommends for those who are worried and really want to secure the financial futures the first step is to get a clear picture of one's financial situation. After inorder to know where you are going you need to know where you are/ Individuals should start with an Inventory of assets, income, debt and current expenses so they can get a clear picture of what their situation is and once they have done that seek the help of a financial expert that can work with them to set up short and long term financial goals. The second step is to do their due diligence in selecting the right financial advisor. Those who do work with a financial advisor tend to be far much more confident in their financial future and achieving their financial goals. Seeking help is will really help individuals overcome that initial step of coming terms with where they are financially, as its been shown that most people wont take any actions because of how daunting it is. The 1945 general election saw the return of the first ever majority Labour government. The Gallup poll had shown a Labour lead for over two years. Nevertheless most politicians and commentators were astonished by the result, since they expected that the war hero, Winston Churchill, would be returned to office by a grateful nation. In the event there was a swing of around 12% to Labour. How is this to be explained? Did the war radicalise the British people? Was the outcome a mandate for socialism? Or was it merely a reaction against the politics of the inter-war years? UFOs constitute a widespread international cultural phenomenon of the last 60 years. Gallup polls rank UFOs near the top of lists for subjects of widespread recognition. In 1973, a survey found that 95 percent of the public reported having heard of UFOs, whereas only 92 percent had heard of U.S. President Gerald Ford in a 1977 poll taken just nine months after he left the White House. A 1996 Gallup poll reported that 71 percent of the United States population believed that the government was covering up information regarding UFOs. A 2002 Roper poll for the Sci Fi Channel found similar results, but with more people believing that UFOs are extraterrestrial craft. In that latest poll, 56 percent thought UFOs were real craft and 48 percent that aliens had visited the Earth. Again, about 70 percent felt the government was not sharing everything it knew about UFOs or extraterrestrial life. In the film Yellow Submarine, Ringo states that the yellow submarine that is following him "must be one of them unidentified flying cupcakes." Another effect of the flying saucer type of UFO sightings has been Earth-made flying saucer craft in space fiction, for example the Earth spacecraft Starship C-57D in Forbidden Planet, the Jupiter Two in Lost in Space, and the saucer section of the USS Enterprise in Star Trek, and many others. Many works of fiction have featured UFOs. In most cases, as the fictional story progresses, the Earth is being invaded by hostile alien forces from outer space, usually from Mars, as depicted in early science fiction, or the people are being destroyed by alien forces, as depicted in the film Independence Day. Some fictional UFO encounters may be based on real UFO reports, such as Night Skies. Night Skies is based on the 1997 Phoenix UFO Incident. UFOs appear in many forms of fiction other than film, such as video games in the Destroy All Humans! or the X-COM series and Halo series and print, The War of the Worlds or Iriya no Sora, UFO no Natsu. Typically a small group of people or the military (which one depending on where the film was made), will fight off the invasion, however the monster Godzilla has fought against many UFOs.

SRI, founded in 1969 by the psychologist Don Clifton, pioneered the use of talent-based structured psychological interviews. George Gallup founded the American Institute of Public Opinion, the precursor of The Gallup Organization, in Princeton, New Jersey, in 1935. He wished to objectively determine the opinions held by the people.
