Up In The Air 1940 Full Movie Mystery

Fun little musical mystery set in a radio studio was released by Monogram Pictures in 1940 and runs for 62 minutes in splendid black and white. Directed by Howard Bretherton, and stars Frankie Darro, Mantan Moreland, Marjorie Reynolds, Gordon Jones, Lorna Gray, Tristram Coffin, Clyde Dilson, Dick Elliot, John Holland, and Carleton Young. Frankie Ryan ( Darro ) works as a page boy at the local Hollywood radio station along with his friend Jeff Jefferson ( Moreland ). The two men dream of their own comedy radio show, and will do almost anything for the chance at success. The station is plagued by a moody, and mediocre singer Rita Wilson ( Gray ), who makes life miserable for all. It is a Godsend to the station when Rita is shot and killed during a rehearsal "blackout", except for Producer Ferrell ( Coffin ), who just had a big argument with Rita. Also suspected is rising cowboy singer Tex Barton ( Jones ). Farrell entices Frankie to aid in the investigation with promises to give secretary Anne Mason ( Reynolds ) an audition to replace Rita. The police are bunglers as usual with Clyde Dilson as Detective Lt. Marty Phillips, and Ralph Peters as Detective Delaney. Lots of twists and turns that keep you guessing right to the end. Can Frankie and Jeff discover the murderer's true identity? And will Anne be chosen to replace Rita? Watch this fun, gem and find out!!
