Smart Alecks - Full Official Movie - Great Quality Film :) Smart Alecks is a 1942 American film directed by Wallace Fox. Hank Salko (Gabriel Dell), a member of the Eastside youth gang in New York, is initiated into the world of adult crime when two gangsters, Mike (Joe Kirk) and Butch Brocalli (Maxie Rosenbloom), hire him to stand watch while they rob a bank. When Hank tries to share some of his ill-gotten money with the East Side Kids, they suspend him from the club, and Hank is then arrested by Joe Reagan (Roger Pryor), the local policeman. While playing baseball in the street, the Kids accidentally send a ball crashing through the window of the apartment in which Butch and Mike are hiding. Butch emerges and refuses to give the ball back, so Danny (Bobby Jordan) runs after him. When Joe recognizes Butch, he chases him and Danny trips the criminal, who is then arrested along with Mike. Danny is awarded $200 for capturing the criminals and plans to buy baseball uniforms for his friends. They are unaware of his plans, however, and, thinking he is keeping the money to be selfish, steal it from him and ban him from the club. Danny's sister Ruth (Gale Storm) calls Joe, who is her boyfriend, and he has the Kids arrested for thievery. The arrest deepens the Kids's resentment of Danny, even though Danny insists that they be released. Once free, the Kids buy an old car with the $200. A month later, Hank breaks out of jail with Butch and Mike and warns Mugs (Leo Gorcey), the leader of the Eastside Kids, and the rest of the group that the gangsters are after Danny for getting them arrested. The gang responds immediately out of deeply rooted loyalty for their friend, but are too late and find him severely beaten in a warehouse, where Butch and Mike have left him. When they learn that only ace brain surgeon Ormsby (Walter Woolf King) can save their friend, they go to Ormsby's house and plead for their friend's life, offering their beat-up jalopy as payment. Ormsby is touched by their concern and agrees to forego a conference in order to operate on Danny. The surgery is successful and Ormsby refrains from charging for it, but Danny does not rally to recover. Joe reveals to the East Side Kids Danny's real intentions for the $200, and the remorseful boys go to his bedside and, after inviting him back into the club, urge him to recover. Ruth is later taken hostage at her apartment by Butch and Mike, but the gang sneaks into the apartment and attacks the thugs. Hank is instrumental in knocking Mike out, and after the gangsters are arrested, Hank is released from his sentence. The East Side Kids reunite in Danny's hospital room with the new baseball uniforms that they bought after selling the car. - A REVIEW Yes, the Eastside Kids are not exactly as young as the characters they seek to portray, but then this is the movies. I bought 10 CDs of the Eastside Kids for $19.95 and considered it a steal. Their movies are fun to watch, if only for the goofs. This was the fifth movies in the set that I watched. Of course, when I was a lot younger, I used to watch their movies on TV, but that was a long time ago. I have to disagree with the other opinion about this film. Of the five I have watched so far, this was the best. It actually had a plot, and even subplots, and some good acting. I enjoyed it and laughed out loud at the final scene. I just wish they had listed Ernest Morrison by his real name in the credits, as they do for all the other actors, instead of listing him as Sunshine Sammy. Considering the part he has to play, he deserves it, as he plays meatier roles than some of the white actors. - If you enjoyed Smart Alecks - Full Official Movie - Great Quality Film :) please like, comment and subscribe to GreenLibraryFilms, We really appreciate it

In the mid 1990s, Leonardo DiCaprio was the king of the world. The baby-faced movie star was about to play the leading role in Titanic, and he spent some of his time hanging with Dana Giacchetto, a former investment banker and member of the new wave group Breakfast in Bed, at Giacchetto's penthouse loft on Broadway and Cortlandt in Manhattan. The two friends owned matching cockatoos named Angel and Caesar and hosted lavish parties for the most powerful people in 90s film, fashion, and finance: Michael Stipe, Andrew Cuomo, Kate Moss, Winona Ryder, Harmony Korine, and Alanis Morissette, among other celebrities. In between doing the things that happen at late-night parties, including spraying vintage champagne everywhere, some guests made million-dollar late-night deals—at least that's what Giacchetto claims. His high life crashed down on him when he was arrested in 2000 and pleaded guilty to fraud under the Investment Advisers Act. After that, most of his clients left him, and the court sentenced him to a maximum of 57 months in prison for misappropriating approximately $9 million. Thanks to good behavior, time already served in prison, and his willingness to enter rehab, he was released early, but his life has never been the same. Giacchetto's downfall began in 1988, when his mother, Alma, loaned him almost $200,000 so he could found the Cassandra Group. Giacchetto already worked as an account executive at Boston Safe Deposit & Trust, and he used his bona fides to persuade friends in new wave and punk bands to put money in an investment group for cool, arty people. Thanks to his business skills and rock cred, Giacchetto started working with Sub Pop Records, the iconic indie label that was simultaneously broke and famous for releasing Nirvana's first album, Bleach. Soon after, Giacchetto worked as the money manager for all of Sub Pop's acts, as well as for the Smashing Pumpkins, Alanis Morissette, Phish, Victoria Williams, Q-Tip, R.E.M., and many of their agents and managers. Giacchetto went to prison for stealing $9 million from a number of these clients, including Phish, who lost more than $1 million, according to the New York Times. The Securities and Exchange Commission had discovered improprieties in Cassandra's bookkeeping dating back to September 1997. (Giacchetto had used a version of the classic "asset-kiting scheme," in which one asset is borrowed to cover the disappearance of another.) Prosecutors alleged that Giacchetto's scheme involved improperly tapping into the accounts of the Cassandra Group's clients and ordering checks from financial services firm Brown & Co. He was able to cash them at the US Trust even though some checks were made out to celebrities like Ben Stiller. "I was someone who was extraordinarily successful, beyond his wildest dreams, and I flew too close to the sun and, you know, got really burned," he told us when we met him in New York this summer. After telling us he didn't have too much time to talk because he had to meet with his lawyer and the FBI, he insisted on his innocence and maintained that he had been accused and convicted because Hollywood insiders were trying to keep him out of the elite, high-powered, celebrity life of Hollywood that he saw as a kind of Mount Olympus. "I think that there is some truth in the idea that there is this vapid vacuum still that is Hollywood—sometimes because it's a business built on artifice, fantasy," he said. "It doesn't mean that it's not legitimate. It just means that, contextually, you have to sort of put it into place, and I think people do get envious of that." At every meeting, Giacchetto promised us he would bring photos from his years with DiCaprio. We didn't believe him, but at our last interview, Giacchetto brought a Travelpro expandable luggage bag full of hundreds of photos, like these pictures of DiCaprio partying. As Giacchetto flipped through the pictures, he reminded us of a father showing photos of his children, not because Giacchetto liked bragging about his 90s debauchery but because these celebrities were once his friends. When he went to jail, many of them abandoned him. This hasn't stopped Giacchetto from doing business with the rich and famous, of course. Along with his phone-app gig with Pavitt, he's repping a new line of luxury food items that will enable you to eat lobster thermidor straight from the can. http://www.waltergiardino.com/#! - http://www.facebook.com/pages/Walter-... Walter Giardino needs no introduction to hard rock and metal fans in South America. Leader and founder of Argentinean band Rata Blanca, Walter is one of the most influential guitarists of the continent having sold millions of albums worldwide. After more than 20 years he continues to sell out venues including a complete sold out show on the 4th of June 2011, which gathered over 30,000 fans at Luna Park Stadium in Buenos Aires, where generations of fans celebrated with the band the 20th Anniversary of their Triple Platinum album "Magos, Espadas & Rosas". Walter's solo career begun in 1998 with the release of "Temple". A hard rock master piece which gave him more room artistically to develop a fesher and more powerful style which was noticed outside South America. In later years, after returning to Rata Blanca in 2001 and thanks to his solo venture, he performed with rock legends such as Glenn Hughes, who was a special guest of Rata blanca at few shows, one of which was recorded on DVD. in 2008 Walter invited singer Doogie white (former Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow/Yngwie Malmsteen) to record Rata Blanca's latest album "El Reino Olvidado" in English, known as "The Forgotten Kingdom". The Spanish version by Rata Blanca had reached Gold status in Argentina alone on the week of its release. In 2009 "The Forgotten Kingdom" was released followed by a series of presentations with Doogie White in Argentina. After the success of the shows and obvious chemistry onstage, Walter and Doogie continued working together writing new material for Walter's solo project "Temple". In 2010 Walter teamed up with rock legend Graham Bonnet, (Rainbow/alcatrazz) and bass player Greg Smith (alice Cooper/Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow/Ted Nugent) with whom he performed a one off show in Buenos Aires under the name of GBS (Giardino/Bonnet/Smith). Walter is now ready to hit the stages Worlwide and launch his solo career outside South America. He will perform some of his solo material as well as new songs and bring back to live some hard rk occlassics which influenced him through the years. He will deliver a high energy show and top class performance which will no doubt delight and surprise the old school hard rockers and the new generations of fans who will witness the performance of a life time.

Recorded 11 September 2014, Union Chapel, London In a recent Guardian interview, the actress Harriet Walter reflected on the impossibility of ever really knowing another human being. Yet, like the novelist Hilary Mantel, she has devoted her professional life to inhabiting characters not her own, often historical ones. Walter’s notable roles include Elizabeth I, Lady Macbeth and Cleopatra, while Mantel has twice won the Man Booker Prize for her extraordinary portrayal of Thomas Cromwell in Wolf Hall and Bring Up the Bodies – adapted for the stage by the RSC, currently playing in the West End, and soon to be serialised on BBC2. In a conversation jointly hosted by the RSL and Intelligent Life magazine, and chaired by the playwright Timberlake Wertenbaker, they reflect on how they get to grips with a character, compare notes on capturing personality on the page and the stage, and discuss how to maintain a sense of self while becoming someone else. We are grateful to the Ronald Duncan Literary Foundation for supporting this event. In partnership with Intelligent Life.

Man Booker Prize for Fiction 2009 winner Hilary Mantel talks about her new unabridged audiobook Wolf Hall. http://www.wholestoryaudio.co.uk/catalogue/title/wolf_hall/9126 Wolf Hall Synopsis: Tudor England. Henry VIII is on the throne, but has no heir. Cardinal Wolsey is charged with securing his divorce. Into this atmosphere of distrust comes Thomas Cromwell - a man as ruthlessly ambitious in his wider politics as he is for himself. His reforming agenda is carried out in the grip of a self-interested parliament and a king who fluctuates between romantic passions and murderous rages.
Walter Woolf King (2 November 1899 – 24 October 1984) was an American singer, performer, and film actor
Born in San Francisco, California, King started singing for a living at a young age and sang mostly in churches. He made his Broadway theatre debut in 1919, and developed a reputation as a baritone in musical comedies and other musical performances. King advertised himself as Walter Woolf and Walter King in his early career, eventually settling on a combination of all three names, Walter Woolf King, in the mid 1930s.
Wolf discovered talking films and began as a lead in musicals but moved into less known villain roles in the Marx Brothers and Laurel and Hardy films, and low-budget films such as Today I Hang in 1942. He later became an actor's agent, occasionally appearing on television.
He died of a heart attack in Beverly Hills, California.
