Robert dean is a mild-mannered lawyer who works in Washington D.C. He is on the trail of a kingpin named Pintero. Meanwhile, a politician named Thomas Reynolds is negotiating with Congressman Phillip Hammersley about a new surveillance system with satellites. But, Hammersley declines, that is when Reynolds had Hammersley killed, but this murder was caught on tape, and this person was being chased by Reynolds' team of NSA agents, the guy must ditch the tape, so he plants it on Dean (unbeknownst to Dean). Then, the NSA decides to get into Dean's life. That is when Dean's life began to fall apart all around him, with his wife and job both gone. Dean wants to find out what is going on. Then, he meets a man named "Brill" who tells him that Dean has something that the government wants. That is when Dean and Brill formulate a plan to get Dean's life back and turn the Tables on Reynolds.

I have been watching you for over three years and your videos are great! I do however have a problem with the IT field, particularly with software development. I graduated as a programmer from a community college but found it difficult to find a job as a developer. If I were to look for a C# role, I would find experience for C# but also a number of other languages or experience needed in technologies that I haven't heard of. It seems to be like as a developer I need to know 20 different things just to be qualified as a developer for a particular language. Because of this I haven't been able to apply to any of the jobs because I don't have experience with certain technologies and as a result I have been working as a help desk analyst since I meet the requirements for that role as and IT guy who learned things as time went by. Cohen looks back on his own experience writing code as well as what he has learned managing programming teams. He finds two paths computer programmers may take to be valuable to their groups. The first is working quickly to iterate, produce, and iterate. This is especially useful on front end design. The second is a more reasoned approach that is built on efficiency. Idan Cohen: I’m a very bad programmer, but I—And I haven’t been writing code for a few years, but when I was writing code, and the best thing about it was that I could do it very fast, and I could—like really, really fast, horrible, horrible code, but just make something work. And I think that that’s a very important character in a programmer, so either you can weep out things very fast, and make them work in some way and then a little bit have someone else, you know, delve into it and just make it work better, and, you know, work the right way maybe, from the back but just making sure that you can do it at the front end, and the—much more creating the experience as fast as possible ‘cause that helps people understand what you’re making. Then on the other hand, there’s people that can really dive into it and understand how it works in the back end, and how it should work, and what’s the right way and what’s the efficient way which I definitely don’t know anything about, because I was never really interested in. So I guess it’s hard for me to judge exactly how that should be made, I think that there’s more technical people that can say that, you know, could answer to that. But I think that these are 2 things that are important, so even if you’re not a good programmer, if you can weep out functional things very fast, it’s still a huge advantage, I think there’s people who just dive into details too soon, and—not the wrong details, the back end, not the front end functional details, the back end functional details and that’s sometimes not the right thing to do.

Bugs are becoming not just annoyances for software developers, but sources of potentially catastrophic failures. A careless programmer mistake could leak our social security numbers or crash our cars. While testing provides some assurance, it is difficult to test all possibilities in complex systems--and practically impossible in concurrent systems. For the critical systems in our lives, we should demand mathematical guarantees that the software behaves the way the programmer expected. A single paper influenced much of the work towards providing these mathematical guarantees. C.A.R. Hoare’s seminal 1969 paper “An Axiomatic Basis for Computer Programming” introduces a method of reasoning about program correctness now known as Hoare logic. In this paper, Hoare provides a technique that 1) allows programmers to express program properties and 2) allows these properties to be automatically checked. These ideas have influenced decades of research in automated reasoning about software correctness. In this talk, I will describe the main ideas in Hoare logic, as well as the impact of these ideas. I will talk about my personal experience using Hoare logic to verify memory guarantees in an operating system. I will also discuss takeaway lessons for working programmers. Bio ---- Jean Yang (@jeanqasaur) is a final-year PhD student at MIT. For her PhD thesis she has created Jeeves, a programming language for automatically enforcing information flow policies for security and privacy. You may be more familiar with one of her other projects, Haskell Ryan Gosling.

Nygaard also helped lead the successful campaign against Norway's membership in the European Union, which involved uniting highly divergent political groupings. Norwegians voted against joining the EU in a 1994 referendum. The University of Oslo professor was acclaimed internationally for his work in developing the programming language Simula that laid the basis for MS-DOS and the Internet. Earlier this year he and his colleague Ole-Johan Dahl, who died in June, were presented the 2001 AM Turing Award for their role in the invention of the programming language Simula in the 1960's. Simula, which is an abbreviation for simulation language, was the basis for the development of later languages such as Smalltalk, C++, Eiffel, Beta and especially Java, which is the central language for Internet applications.
