She is the legal adviser to former NSA contractor Edward Snowden and the Director of National Security & Human Rights at the Government Accountability Project. He is a former senior executive of the United States National Security Agency (NSA) and a whistleblower. In 2006, Thomas leaked information about the NSA's data-gathering Trailblazer Project and was prosecuted under the Espionage Act, but in 2010, but the case collapsed. Both of them were in London to give the annual Sam Adams Award for Integrity and Intelligence to this year's winner Private Chelsea Manning. Jesselyn had just been harassed by the UK Border Police and spoke about being questioned about her representation of Edward Snowden and Private Manning. Thomas Drake has an incredible story that inspired Edward Snowden to flee the country and release information with a very specific protocol. After seeing the way that Thomas was treated by the government Edward knew that he would never be protected by any type of Whistleblowing statute if he remained on American soil. MORE VIDEOS: http://reblop.com/raw-footage-baltimore-riots-looting-protesters-over-freddy-gray-death-erupts-in-chaos/ Several thousand protesters have converged in the US city of Baltimore to protest over the death of 25-year-old black man Freddie Gray while in police custody. Gray died on Sunday after sustaining multiple injuries which included three fractures in his neck vertebrae, a smashed voicebox and the severing of 80 per cent of his spine from his neck. Gray had been in police custody for a week, having been arrested in a high-crime neighbourhood after he made eye contact with police and fled. After he was caught he was found to be carrying a knife. Melissa Ealey, Gray’s cousin, told Al Jazeera that no crime perpetrated could warrant such abuse. “There is no reason the police had to conduct themselves in a manner to where…it cost him his life," Ealey said. "I can understand breaking the law is wrong but the way they apprehended him and the things they did were completely against protocol and just inhumane as a whole." 'National epidemic' of violence Signs in hand, with slogans such as "Jail Killer Police" and "Unite Here," demonstrators from different racial backgrounds flooded two city blocks and marched to city hall, where the crowd overtook a plaza. March organiser and lawyer Malik Shabazz described violence against by American police officers as "a national epidemic against black men". Al Jazeera's Shihab Rattansi, who was reporting from Baltimore's city hall, said the marchers had converged on the city centre and were now headed towards Baltimore's Oriole Park Major League Baseball stadium at Camden Yards where Baltimore's Orioles were later set to take on the Boston Red Sox. Rattansi said police had attended the protest but were keeping a safe distance, as the protesters called for sweeping national policy changes on how cases of police brutality should be dealt with. Their demands included the establishment of an independent civilian review board in every city to review the cases, immediate suspension without pay for police officers accused of violence and protection for whistleblowers so they could freely speak about police brutality without retaliation. "Speaker after speakers keep saying here, when a genocide is happening against you, why would you ask the people committing it what is going on," our reporter said. Stafford Sutton, an activist who attended the march, said changes to federal policies were required to defuse anger after a spate of recent cases of police brutality. "I've seen a lot of individuals who have been done wrong. A federal mandate needs to be brought down. We have to go through the process, we have to follow it through and go to Washington," Sutton said. Demonstrators have flooded the streets of Baltimore almost every day since Gray's death, although Saturday's rally was the largest. Gray's death has been compared to those of other unarmed black men who died at the hands of police in New York City and Ferguson, Missouri, and has intensified a national debate over police treatment of African-Americans. The US Department of Justice is conducting a separate probe into Gray's death. A wake for Gray is scheduled for Sunday, with his funeral to be held on Monday.

STATE OF EMERGENCY DECLARED The Nepal government has declared a state of emergency in the affected districts and appealed for international humanitarian assistance. Kathmandu Valley and surrounding districts are worst affected, According to the Deputy Prime Minister Bamdev Gautam Aftershocks of equal magnitudes are still causing more damage. The death toll in Nepal’s earthquake could reach 10,000, Prime Minister Sushil Koirala has said, as survivors’ despair turned to anger at the government’s slow response to the humanitarian crisis unfolding in the country, with food, water and other essentials in desperately short supply. “The government is doing all it can for rescue and relief on a war footing,” Koirala said in an interview with Reuters. “It is a challenge and a very difficult hour for Nepal.” The death toll in Nepal alone rose to 4,352 on Tuesday, with more than 8,000 injured, according to police, amid warnings the full extent of the tragedy would not be known until rescue teams had reached “flattened” villages in remote regions. Search and rescue operations by Libya’s coast guard are restricted due to diminishing resources, and have to contend with dangerous gangs of armed traffickers. Those rescued at sea by the coast guard are brought to detention centers, where they face deplorable conditions and are forced to remain for long periods of time. In some instances, migrants are detained by militias in unofficial prisons outside of government control. Since 2009, the militant Islamist group known as Boko Haram has wreaked havoc in northern Nigeria. Instilling terror through bombings, abductions, and beheadings, Boko Haram is fighting to create an Islamic state in the most populous country in Africa.

VICE News traveled to Nigeria to embed with the country\'s army as it ramped up its fight against Boko Haram, whose rise has caused a state of emergency. As the only journalists on the front line in northern Nigeria, we witnessed the beginning of the largest military insurgency to date.

In part one of a three-part series, VICE News correspondent Kaj Larsen visits the site of a recent Boko Haram attack, interviews refugees and victims of the militant group, and heads to the front lines of the ongoing conflict.

Jesselyn Radack is Edward Snowden\'s Attorney
Thomas Drake is an Former NSA Executive & Whistleblower

Jesselyn Radack & Thomas Drake are a force to be reckoned with. She is the legal adviser to former NSA contractor Edward Snowden and the Director of National Security & Human Rights at the Government Accountability Project. He is a former senior executive of the United States National Security Agency (NSA) and a whistleblower. In 2006, Thomas leaked information about the NSA\'s data-gathering Trailblazer Project and was prosecuted under the Espionage Act, but in 2010, but the case collapsed.

Both of them were in London to give the annual Sam Adams Award for Integrity and Intelligence to this year\'s winner Private Chelsea Manning.

Please join me in welcoming these two to London Real and support them on their quest to protect Whistleblowers and thereby protect our basic human rights as individuals.

Several thousand protesters have converged in the US city of Baltimore to protest over the death of 25-year-old black man Freddie Gray while in police custody.
“There is no reason the police had to conduct themselves in a manner to where…it cost him his life,\

On April 30, 1975, North Vietnamese tanks rolled through the gates of the Presidential Palace, the heart of the US-backed Saigon government. The fall of Saigon was the the official end to the Vietnam War and the US\'s decade-long involvement in southeast Asia.

STATE OF EMERGENCY DECLARED

The Nepal government has declared a state of
emergency in the affected districts and appealed for
international humanitarian assistance. Kathmandu
Valley and surrounding districts are worst affected,
According to the Deputy Prime Minister Bamdev Gautam

Aftershocks of equal magnitudes are still causing more damage.

“It is a challenge and a very difficult hour for Nepal.”

The death toll in Nepal alone rose to 4,352 on Tuesday, with more than 8,000 injured, according to police, amid warnings the full extent of the tragedy would not be known until rescue teams had reached “flattened” villages in remote regions.
Kindly share and spread the awareness.

As Libya descends further into civil war and lawlessness, migrants from Africa and the Middle East continue to journey to the country’s coast in search of smugglers to take them across the Mediterranean Sea and into Europe.

In part one of a three part series, VICE News is given access to chilling footage filmed by the Libyan coast guard, who have witnessed an influx of migrants trying to cross the Mediterranean Sea, recovering hundreds of bodies of those who’ve drowned on their journey to Europe.
